Description

This fact-filled, image-rich app is the only periodic table you need.

Ideal if you’re a student, teacher or just have an interest in the chemical sciences.

Did you know that neodymium is used in microphones? Or europium in Euro bank notes to help stop counterfeiting? These are just two of the absorbing facts in our free, user-friendly and customisable app, based on our popular and well-respected Royal Society of Chemistry Periodic Table website.

• See elements in their natural state and real-life applications.
• Check out podcasts and videos.
• Use our interactive slider to see how elements change state as temperature increases, or explore the discovery of the elements through history.
• Customise your app to see only what interests you.
• Use our simple table for quick access to data – like sorting elements in order of increasing density.

Emrozz,
Great App Needs Fixes
Never do this ever. This app was such a great find! So many great features. But right now the videos keep crashing about 5 seconds into playback. Hopefully this gets fixed. Watching on a high-speed network connection. Using an iPhone 8, latest software version 13.1.... Hope this information helps you out.
noahisamathnerd,
Simple, intuitive, awesome
Super simple, yet full of detail. No infuriating ads, but still free to use. Overall an amazing app.

It’s design is very intuitive and info-rich, but its information density somehow doesn’t make it feel cluttered, distracting, intimidating, or confusing. It doesn’t make you look at the atomic mass or anything like that if you don’t need to. It’s still there, but it’s not in-your-face there, if you know what I mean. It’s stable, lightweight, and incredibly helpful. I never know when I—a nerd—will need quick access to a periodic table for whatever reason. I don’t want to have to search for a lo-res image of a periodic table online. I want a free and ad-free, simple but not restrictive, and available to use offline. This app *easily* does all of that.
Mennojonny,
One of the best apps for learning the periodic table EVER!!
This is such a good app! There are so many ways to get information! It has setting where you can say how experienced you are with the periodic table, and terms that have to do with it. It has a clear way of displaying the elements and clearly shows how to get information about them. The graphics of it are VERY NICE!! It gives SO MUCH information!! I like things like this that display such clear good information!! I also REALLY REALLY like that it has a dark background!! That means it does not hurt my eyes!! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good app about the periodic table!! FIVE STARS!! ☑️⚛️⚛️
SLACKSIRE,
Outstanding, well designed application
I have never written a review for any product before now, but this simple piece of software deserves some praise. When i downloaded this application, i was hoping that it would give me enough information about the elements for me to use it in a college level chemistry course. Not only did it meet, but it exceeded my expectations. Outstanding. Well done and I hope those who developed this application continue to do what they do. It’s hard to find an easy to use interface, but this one has checked all of the boxes.
hemoglobin812,
Needs update for iPad Pro
Good app with lots of info, but you cant open it side by side with other apps on the iPad Pro which can be pretty annoying at times because thats one of the best features on the these iPads. Please update it! This app would be 5 stars from me if it had this. If you dont have a pro, i recommend getting it. Also, the developers need to add the atomic mass to the elements so they can easily be seen when doing things like balancing nuclear equations
Tresartyo,
Great for homeschoolers!
I currently homeschool 4 children in middle and early high school. This app is a perfect addition to our periodic table unit. It has an easy to use format with a plethora of information displayed in multiple styles; text, pictures, videos, podcasts...I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an all in one solution.
Jovas Sanchez,
Missing 1 Thing
This is well done! To perfect it please add a search bar. One exists but only looks up elements by name. Please make it look up text tags and key words that are in the elements description.

For example if I search of up ‘ toxic’ it should bring up lead, Mercury and so on.
Tidment,
Amazing Experience!
This app has helped me learn many various elements and fails to bore the listener! The spokesman of the videos and the scientist is a great addition to mastering the concept behind the periodic table. I definitely would recommend this app to anyone looking for a great educational experience and source.
Evan_13,
FREE & WORKS!!
Good educational apps are hard to come by, but this app is great! AND FREE! THANKS!!!

Best of all, it actually has an interface that makes the periodic table look “easy” to understand. The bright colors on a dark background is very well done.

keep up the good work!
Gam im lo, hineni,
Excellent!
My ten year old has been spending time watching lectures about chemistry on the Khan Academy app and wanted to know more about the periodic table of elements. This app is very intuitive to use and the information is fascinating.
