Mmp1171,
Finally a solution that works
I have been so frustrated with the Windows Photo software transfer. It would transfer like 2 photos and then disconnect. This app flat out works. You want to transfer photos and video to your PC ? This does it in 100 file batches ad it’s fast ! You have to download Sidon your PC. As long as your phone and pc are on the same wireless network it detects your phone and prompts permission. Then it detects all your photos overall and by album. View 100 file page, select all and download. It prompts you for a folder selection. After the first 100 it defaults to the last file location to confirm you want them in the same place. Only improvement would be for them to increase the batch sizes. $7 to be able to transfer in original definition. They have to make their money. Well worth it given the frustration I have had with other apps. Simple and well done.
Diamondmond,
Didn't work the way I was hoping
So I got this app because I wanted to transfer some videos from my Google drive to my photos so I could edit them iMovie. The only problem was they wouldn't show up when I went to the folder they were located in. So then I decided I would install the application for my PC and transfer them that way. Turns out that didn't work either so I then assumed that the reason they wouldn't transfer is because the file name extension was wmv. So now at the moment of writing this review I am C meeting these files from wmv to MP4 so I can finally transfer them to my iPhone because the video recordings on my phone are MP4 so I believe that this will finally work because this entire process I have been doing has taken two days and probably going to take a third of this doesn't work. So that is why I am rating this app the three Stars. Please respond to this and tell of any ways I could've avoided the hassle I went through, such as reading the description of the app. If you can prove to me this is an user error and that this is my fault for not paying attention, I will change my review (if I remember that I wrote it) to five Stars.

Thank you for reading
Zander R.,
Best system on the market so far, still needs some work.
With multiple previous iPhones full of pictures and my current one slammed full as well, I needed and efficient method of transfer. I purchased an eReader for about $15 that never wanted to work, so paying for the full version of this app was a no brainer. I transferred from a 4, 5s, 5c, and 6, to a flash drive on Windows 8. It struggled some with my mass of pictures and the back up/save & delete feature never worked for me, but overall still performed mostly as advertised. Both apps were easily accessible and communicated well with each other. My main complaint is that use of the app is locked to one specific Apple ID instead of a log-in based system. I have used and created several IDs over the years but can not use the app I paid for to transfer from those. The ability to provide proof of paid full access and use on other devices would have bumped me to 5 stars, even with the issues I ran into. (Considering it could've been user error, of course.)
Overall satisfied and would (and have) recommend.
Mreeves3514,
Works great for me
I have found this app to work very well. I’m downloading from an iPhone xs onto a Microsoft computer. I have my phone plugged into the computer USB through which the transfer is done. You can also transfer by Wi-Fi but I have not used this feature.

You have to open up the Transfer app on the iPhone and also open up the application on the computer. Once they are both open and you select your iPhone it shows the first 100 photos in whatever folder you’ve select from the program running on the computer. Rather than it’s attempting to download your entire photo video library from your iPhone or other device, it downloads them in a lock of 100 at a time. There is a drop-down that allows you to select groups I’m files in intervals of 100.

It will let you upload to the iPhone or download from the iPhone phots and video. It’s very quick for me, although that could be a function of Internet connection I suppose. It also gives you the option to delete the photos from your iPhone, and iPhone pops up a message to confirm before deleting.

It allows you to see 99 items at a time. I’d give this five stars except that, after you download a block of 100 photos it then returns you to the first photo in the folder. I’d much rather have it return me to the next block of 100 images so that I can continue my downloading rather than my having to navigate back to that particular block of photos.

Overall it works really well and I would highly recommend it.
Uncle_Richard,
I came back just to write a review
I was looking for something that would transfer my pictures from my iPhone to my home computer because I could not seem to get windows to do it correctly...
it has taken a little finagling to get where I want but this app works wonderful, download both phone and computer software, make sure BOTH devices are on the same WiFi network, open both computer software and phone software... click discover devices and pick your phone... it then lists all your pictures... and click and transfer... my phone is iPhone 8 so the files are HEIC files.. so I downloaded a conversion app on my windows PC and convert them to JPG and can use them for eBay or whatever I want... you can also delete from your phone after downloading... thanks guys... and YES I paid the $6.99 for the app considering what it does to be worth it...
Thanks
GaaryG,
Hurray, it works!
It's incredible to me how difficult it is to transfer photos from the iPhone to PC. Apple clearly wants you to just buy storage; and Microsoft Photos somehow can't handle a large scale transfer, which is surprising in this day and age. Came across this app, thought it was out of date, but gave it a try - and it worked smoothly - including the "transfer + delete" option, which I particularly wanted. Wish there was a free tool that worked, but I don't begrudge these guys a few bucks, as they clearly have filled a gap. Only reason I docked a star is that I had to transfer in batches of 100, which makes it a morning project, rather than once and done - dev team, consider allowing larger batches at a time?
RedHeadsRule711,
Soooo Frustrating!!
This could have been an amazing app. There were several things I liked about it. But there is nothing more irritating than attempting to use an app and get a feel for it when it is constantly hounding you to purchase the upgraded version! I haven’t even completed a single transfer and the pop-ups begin informing me of all of the features I cannot use unless I purchase their Pro version!! And as I continued to use the app the pestering got more frequent and more frustrating! I make it a point to NEVER spend a dime on any app that doesn’t allow me to use their product without attempting to pressure me into giving them my money. Just build a product WORTH paying for and allow people to get used to your app before even asking them to upgrade! Keep your app. There are many more that do the same thing for free. I am happy to use one of those! And if they have a good product and don’t try to force me into an upgrade, then those are the ones who are much more likely to get my money!
Cnowling,
Photo Transfer App
I downloaded this App to transfer pics from my iPhone 11 to my PC via lightning cable. We have very slow internet/wifi where we live. Most Apps like to use Wifi to transfer photos so I was glad to see an App that lets you use a cable to transfer. This App does work and it’s interface is user friendly. It has limitations that are worth sharing. You can only download 400 pics/vids at one time. For someone that has thousands of pics on my phone this is time consuming. The other problem I ran into at least with my setup is that once you download 400 pics and try to download more, the App hangs up (error message) and you have to close out everything and reopen. I submitted this problem to the Developer hoping they address this “major issue”. I would give it five stars if you could download more than 400 pics at one time and if the App wouldn’t time out once you download more than 400 pics. For an App that costs money, I believe these two issues should be addressed!
FrameShooter,
The more I use it, the more I like it
[Here it is 2019 and I’m still happily using this app. The latest spectacular find is this: On the road I transfer RAW photos from my cameras to an iPad. If I use iCloud to later move them to my desktop PC, Apple first converts them to JPEGs. This app, however, down loads the RAW file. Bravo!]

[Update for latest v 5.0 - new feature to allow deleting photos on iPhone and iPad makes this app spectacular!]

I hardly ever give five stars to anything. As said in my title, the more I use the app the more I like it. I transfer to-and-from a PC running Win7 Pro using the Photo Transfer App for PCs. It's seamless. It even backs up single or multiple folders to the PC.

It does such a good job of looking inside iPad photo folders, that I wish it could act as a file manager so I could delete garbage photos that have accumulate easily from my desktop. [WISH LIST!]
....
Since my previous review (above) I still can't find anything wrong. How often can u say that in life?
.....
The app keeps asking me to rate (which is getting annoying). This is still one of the best apps of any kind on my iPhone and iPad. It's the only 5 star I've given. (6/14)
Theponygirl,
OH MY GGGGGG, 2 days of trying to transfer!!!
So I never leave reviews. But I am going to for this app. I am *extremely* frustrated because this app is continuously freezing, and unable to transfer pics and videos from my iPhone to my computer. I have literally been working for two days straight to try to transfer. I have repeatedly unplugged/reset/prayed and wished upon a Star for a magical answer to simply transfer my photos and videos, without this app crashing or freezing. I am on day two (literally over 14 hours into this now) and I am ready to pull my hair out because this is SO flipping frustrating!!!!!!!!

Great app, only WHEN or IF it decides to work. When it’s not working every other 5 mins or so, it’s the worst app ever. Take your pick, and if you do download it, you better have the patience of a saint to deal with this seriously glitchy app. 🥺
