Amazing photography tool!
It’s SUPER easy to use! The manual shooting gives me full control of how I want to take my photos. I would recommend this to any beginner or professional photographer who wants the convenience of using their iPhone to take DSLR-quality photos!

Good start
This app is stable and offers the simple yet powerful interface I’ve come to expect from the Camera+ team, but there’s room to grow. I’ve been a passionate Camera+ fan for years now and I noticed recently that the app is now distributed by some other dev on the App Store. I don’t know the full story, but it seems like the OG team may have lost the app and Photon is them starting fresh. As it stands, it works, but it’s missing 3 key features that will keep me on Camera+ for now. Don’t get me wrong, I like that it’s stripped down (Camera+ can feel bloated) but I’d love to see the following features added down the road:
1. A dedicated Macro mode. If I switch to the .5 lens and play with focus, I can sort of do macro, but the perspective is still off and I’d love to see it “just work” like Camera+ and the stock Apple Camera app.
2. In-App photo library (lightbox) The lightbox is my favorite feature of Camera+. The ability to snap photos and review them before sending them off to iCloud is huge for me.
3. Integration with REC. I love REC. And I love how REC and Camera+ have buttons in the apps that let you switch between them. If Photon is the new hotness, I’d love to see that integration added.
I’ll keep it installed and follow updates as they come. I’m excited for what the future holds!

FOCUS and Lens Control lacking
I just spent a twilight even at park to test this particular APP out! In many ways I’m impressed with the minimalist yet simple tools and controls exist, but I’m kinda surprised that I have no control over the wide angle, standard and telephoto lens controls!! They already exist in my iOS (13 Pro Max) iPhone, so I’m puzzled at the lack of that very basic professional feature. Please get back with me, maybe a guarantee that you’ll have it NEXT update… I might just spend the $40

Poor low light
I was expecting to get at least 15 seconds exposure for night time photography of the stars. Only get max of 1 second. Unfortunately, I’m unable to get refunded since I purchased this versus a subscription

a little buggy
V. 1.0.2 is a little buggy - though it functions pretty well, we encountered things like focus peaking not switching when toggled. Also found the "wheel" control worse than a normal slider as it lacks positional feedback. Choice of formats is nice and UI is nice other than the wheel, though we had to read manual to understand icons' roles

Waste of Time
Makes no sense. I love the pricing options as I’m a fan of lifetime purchases and their lifetime pricing is perfect ($39 at the time of writing). The problem however is that you cannot even try taking a photo when you download the app and try using any of the manual settings. How are you supposed to try the app to decide if it’s for you if you cannot even take one single photo after changing the manual settings?! Disrespectful to the user’s time. Deleted and will never use again.
