We have also addressed a couple of bugs to provide a better user experience:
- Fixed a rare crash that could occur when recording videos of less than 1 second in duration.

5.1.1
2022-12-22
This is a release centered on bug fixing.
We fixed an issue where there could be a delay when going from the video browser back to the camera. Also, we fixed a rare issue where interrupting a recording with a notification could cause file corruption. This is no longer the case.
In addition, we've given the app icon a winter wonderland makeover. However if you'd prefer the normal icon, you can swap it back and forth as many times as you'd like from the settings menu.
From everyone here at LateNiteSoft, we wish you and your loved ones a happy, safe, and healthy holiday season!

Here at LateNiteSoft we're excited to introduce you to REC version 3.2. In this version we've added a couple of features that have been requested by you, our filmmakers, and cleaned up a few things that were "bugging" you. ;)
Torch
We've heard loud and clear that our users want to be able to use their flash while recording, so we've added a cute little flashlight button in the top right or top left hand corner that lets you toggle the light on and off. Show off your brightest moments with perfect clarity when they need that little boost of extra sparkle.
Hide the UI while Recording
Our second request was for those of you who like to capture your device's screen while recording. In order to show the nicest preview possible, there's now a switch located in the "More" section of the settings page that will turn on the ability to hide the entire UI while you're recording. Don't worry though, you can get it back with a single tap on the screen!
Bug Fixes and Performance Enhancements
It sounds cliche, but we're committed to making your experience with REC as smooth as possible. To that end we've squashed a number of minor bugs, and improved our Tentacle Sync Track E Support to be even more down to the frame accurate.
If you happen to encounter any bugs, need a hand with the app, or have a suggestion, please feel free to drop us a line via the in-app About menu by selecting "Send Feedback". We'd love to hear from you!
3.1

Show timecode value while recording video with timecode enabled, both for Tentacle Sync and time of the day.
3.0.4
2021-01-08
In version 3.0.4 we fixed some minor issues. In version 3 we introduced:
Fractional FPS Options
For those of you who shoot simultaneously with other hardware, REC now supports 23.98 and 29.97 FPS. This pairs well with our Tentacle Sync timecode support allowing you to sync footage accurately from even more devices!
Zoom
By far the most requested feature was to add the ability to zoom to REC. Since all of you ended up on our nice list this year, we've added this gift to the app for you. Simply enable zoom in the "More" section of the settings and you'll be ready to focus in on what brings you joy this holiday season!
Grid
In the same settings panel, we've added a small stocking stuffer that overlays a grid on the viewfinder so you can easily frame your shot perfectly.
Photo Library Integration
Our final added option, is the ability to save your videos directly to your Photo Library, bypassing REC's video browser. While you won't be able to take advantage of REC's built in preview system with this option on, your videos will be immediately available to any other app that has permission to use your photos for sharing, editing or anything else you can think of!
