Piano Diary is a free iPhone/iPad application based on Core MIDI, designed to manage, archive and share your piano performances.
Piano Diary features
(1) Record your performance
You can record your daily performances in Piano Diary, for later playback to your instrument; exactly as the you played - or to perform as a duet with yourself! You can easily search and find your performances stored in Piano Diary by date/time or name. Plus, don't worry if you lose your iPhone/iPad, as all performance data is automatically stored to the 'Cloud' in the *Piano Diary servers! Simply log onto Piano Diary with another iPhone/iPad to restore all of your performances!
*A guest mode is available if you do not wish to store your performances to the Piano Diary servers.
(2) Monitor your practice time
Do you want to monitor your practice time precisely? Piano Diary will keep track of all important statistics, such as how long you have been playing and how many notes you have played. You can even compare your practice time to other users of Piano Diary.
(3) Upload your performances to YouTube
Do you wish to share your best performances with family and friends? Simply add a slideshow of your favourite photos and automatically upload as a movie to YouTube. Then share the YouTube movie to family and friends over the Internet for playback without Piano Diary.
(4) Carry your performances everywhere
No need to carry your instrument with you! You can listen to your performance from the iPhone/iPad using the Piano Diary software synthesizer. Enjoy your performances whenever and wherever you are - from the iPhone/iPad or over the Internet from shared YouTube movies.

Cant sync witn google account
I cant save my recordings since google no longer verify this app...can you guys please help?

Danger!!! No MIDI EXPORT!
Please UPDATE this app to be able to export MIDI out. My compositions are trapped and I can get just an audio file back. Why? Who uses MIDI without the option to work with it or export it to be able to work with it? PLEASE !!! It’s a little inexpensive Upgrade for MIDI export. A good programmer can do it in a few -minutes/hours. Just save it as MIDI and allow it to be able to be exported as saved. No conversations- nothing. As is!
Please Yamaha- live up to your standards!
Do Something logical, rational, needed, useful, satisfy the basic expectations at least!
Or you should had warned on the App upfront: you will record MIDI without MIDI functionality! Use at your risk!!!

Needs Video Recording
This app is great for recording audio, but it would be nice if video could be recorded too. That way a full performance could be shared. Yamaha’s My Recorder app has this functionality, but it doesn’t support Midi to Audio Playback; you can only hear audio playback if you are still connected to your keyboard. It would be great if they could combine these apps so that we can record video and keyboard input and replay them both without needing the keyboard.

Comically outdated app
This app hasn't been updated in over four years; it is apparently completely unsupported by Yamaha US. Ironically, there is a frequently updated version of this in the Japanese App Store that is unavailable in the US. That supports all of the new Yamaha hardware I recently purchased; this version does not.

The piano diary app won't let me log on to you tube to upload. Please help

Forced to log in via facebook or Twitter
There is no way to use this app without logging in thru social media. I should be able to create and save midi recordings without connecting to Facebook.
