Well I can finally login but I would like to get app notifications without having the email notifications on. I have those off for a reason! I don’t want them clogging up my email for no reason. I don’t check my email like that to see if someone is streaming cause guess what...that’s what the app is for.
Just allow in app notifications without having to have email notifications on! No need in my having the app if that’s the case I’ll never see when anyone is on anyway.
But you’re doing better! Keep listening to your users!
But just give me my app notifications without having the email one automatically turned on when no one touched it. Even went on the site itself and turned it off and tried different combinations but if the email notifications are off the in app notifications are off...stupid system being honest.

Please fix these issues. I'll break them down one-by-one;

1. Picture-in-Picture doesn't always work, often automatically pausing when I switch to another task.

2. The app frequently logs me out between uses.

3. My own friends' usernames never show up in search results, and I can only find them in the app by clicking on notifications from them.

4. Links to my friends' streams never open the app itself, instead opening in my phone's default browser.

5. Notifications don't always work, and sometimes not even turning on.

6. Basic features within the app use a lot more screenspace than they should on older devices, such as the first generation iPhone SE.

7. Whenever I start watching a stream with mature content, even though my preferences are set to show that sort of stuff, it still gives me the warning that the stream might not match my content preferences.

8. I'm not able to search multiple communities at once unless I use "All", and channels apparently aren't able to assign themselves multiple tags.

TLDR:
If you’re ok with seeing porn art, use the website and not the app. If you aren’t okay with seeing porn art, avoid this service.

As many others have noted, the app has TONS of porn, and while there is a setting to hide NSFW content, it relies on the streamer/artist following the rules and marking the content properly. I know for a fact that some artists will actively mark their stream as SFW in the settings so that it is more visible.

Some of these artists at least have the courtesy to put the letters “NSFW” in the title of the stream, even though they marked it as SFW in the settings. Though this method of marking it makes it impossible to filter them out, and a preview of the stream will show up on your screen when browsing, whether you like it or not. There doesn’t seem to be any system in place to flag these streams as being NSFW.

If you’re okay with seeing porn, then it’s actually a great service, but on top of the content issues, the app itself is very slow, and you’re lucky if it responds at all half the time. Best to use the web browser, which I believe is fully functional on mobile.

I just wish this service was more reliable with blocking NSFW content, because I LOVE the idea of an artist centric streaming platform.

I used to love this app and this site but PicartoTV has become unusable lately. 1. Because the app kept glitching because streams take forever to load. 2. The inability to filter inappropriate/unwanted content out. Almost every time, as soon as your hit the explore tab, you are assaulted by porn/nude shots and suggestive animal art. Forget trying browse through the the streams. They need to add something to the filters/account settings so that a user can block certain genres/content from popping up on their lists of streams. They have weak settings in place for that where certain works are labeled explicit but it certainly doesn’t stop users from X rated thumbnails. I have literally seen thumbnails of graphic sexual acts when I opened this app and that should not be. I really want to enjoy PicartoTV but I just cannot endorse this.

The design is very nice, and there is a great community but, at least for the iPad version, it takes quite a while for a stream to pull up on a good internet connection. Many times I have opened the app only to find myself back at the log-in page. And although slightly less of an issue, the app is not compatible with any split-screen or mini player viewing. They recently advertised being able to stream directly from iPad, but that doesn’t seem to work either, with the stream still shown as being offline.

A streaming service for artists is an excellent idea, and we’ve seen some nice updates in the past, but they are so few and far in-between that I fear this app will never reach what it could be.

While the app itself works perfectly fine for the purposes it serves, i see a lot of people upset about the endorsing and/or lack of filtering of nsfw content on the platform.

While i agree that a filter would be good for certain content, i do think that the backlash regarding the various hate reviews is a bit overplayed.
Due to the lack of representation in the sex worker industry, there are few opportunities or places where it can be generally accepted. The app doesn’t deserve the backlash that comes from the nsfw creators on the platforms, neither do a majority of the creators themselves.

I personally recommend this app for a decent alternate streaming service centered around art. It has good mechanics to it, and it makes it convenient to watch your favorite artist create something. But minors should be wary about where they step on there.
While good nsfw representation is appreciated, the exposure of it to minors is frowned upon for good reason.

The mini screen player doesn't even work. There is no point in trying to play the stream while doing something else on your phone because the "play" button doesn't function as it SHOULD. Another thing is that notification settings that I have set for the user I follow KEEP TURNING OFF. For that reason, I am not notified of when they're beginning a stream.

And why does the stream pause when I'm pulling down my control center or notification center? It is exasperating because then I miss out on more of the stream, in terms of the audio. These issues need attention as soon as possible. This is very disappointing.

Honesty I’ve used this app since 2019, which I was wonderful to use then. Now I keep meeting the login screen and keep having to log in over and over again. Recently I started to use picarto again after my favorite streamer returned and my account has been acting up. So I decide I should just make a new account. I’ve wasted four emails on this app now and some in the past on the account activation, and I can’t even unregister those accounts to try again cause a message saying ‘account not activated’ hinders me from deactivating those accounts. When I find the email to activate the newest attempt of this app, it’s no longer open to activate. So this app really has just became disappointing.

So honestly I mostly just used the app to be notified when streams start, then just pull them up on my computer. But out if nowhere it stopped working and I checked to find it turned off all app and email notifications for the people I follow. I go in and turn them on but as soon as I leave that page and come back, they’re all off again. My emails in general don’t always notify me when they arrive so having the app ding was important. From what I see, it’s not the only problem people have. They need to fix this soon.

The app is great but it would be better if there was a way to report bugs or issues through the app. Also recently even though I have great WiFi signal and cellular data the streams have been glitching up an their are sometimes where I can’t see the stream on mobile but is fine on my laptop. So it would be great if they could fix this and continue to improve the app because it has the potential to be great.
