It’s a very decent turn based RPG with an interesting story and a very uncanny art style.
Animations are stiff and awkward, but it feels intentional, as it lends well to the creepy atmosphere of the game.
The game is VERY short. Took me fewer than five hours to beat.
The game is far too easy. The only fights that challenged me were the first mob fight and the first boss fight. After that, every enemy encounter had no choice but to bow down to my overwhelming power and just hand me basically free EXP.
There’s no equipment customization and there are only a handful of items you can buy with in-game currency, all of which the game freely gives you in bulk, further robbing this game of potential challenge.
Enemies shower you with a torrential downpour of EXP when defeated, rocketing your levels upward at a rate comparable to farming Metal King Slimes in Dragon Quest.
All in all, it’s a very easy, relaxing game with an interesting story and creepy aesthetics.
The game’s written dialogue could have used some more editing, though, as it’s very stiff to read and could have used more punctuation in certain places. Also a few typos here and there.
7.5/10. I rounded it up to 4/5.
Get it on sale and when you have nothing better to do.
