The robot-partner in single player mode is awful!
In single-player mode, I agree with a couple of people judging the game play is poor. Whoever programmed the robot-partner part of the App really doesn't seem to understand how to pass cards to a partner who's won the bid. My win rate is not great, but my team wins 75% of the games in 'hard' mode. But when our team has lost its often been within our grasp had not the bot been a bonehead. It systematically makes dumb moves. For example, when named trump is clubs or hearts it passes parts of pinochle instead of trump or instead of aces! This, even when the bidding is high, suggesting trump is needed to fill a double run. I've missed a double run countless times because the bot holds onto kings and jacks around rather fill in my double run. For pity sake, if you can't pass trump then pass aces- I'll send you MY parts of pinochle!!
Then, if by some lucky chance the bidder gets the double run (more likely if trump was spades or diamonds), all of the Aces it held on to are often lost to trump anyway! In the real world I'd never want to play with such a dumb partner. In the old days when yahoo hosted live online pinochle such poor partners would get booted from the game!

Robot-partner single mode is stupid!!!
Your robot partner logic needs some serious work. There are several complaints about how stupid the partner is. Today my "partner" did not pass the jack of my club trump suit, and then I find out it has both jacks but passed something like the queen of spades instead! It frequently throws away an ace of a suit that I melt the K+Q in on my trump trick, and it keeps leading counters of a suit that will obviously be trumped by the opponent before pulling trump.
I like the game but PLEASE improve the logic so the partner is a better player.

Updated 2021 This is a well-polished app, though there is some room for improvement/development. Game play is smooth, and the banner ads are relatively unobtrusive. The AI partner does play a good strategy in cooperation with me. I find the rules fairly similar to what I learned years ago—must play trump if you don’t have the suit, bidder out, etc. A suggestion: allow for “house rules” such as the team must take 20 counters or lose meld, or starting bid is 50, or opening trick must use trump or Ace (or Ace of trump in my cousins’ rules). One problem is the tiny size of the cards at the beginning of each hand...it’s too easy to tap the wrong card and you can’t take it back. I know it would lead to some cheating, but I’d like an undo button for when my fat fingers don’t play the card I chose.

Overwhelming Ads + Bad Gameplay
I usually don't complain about ads in a free game. I get it that they have to make money. But this app has by far the most intrusive, pervasive, and frustrating ads I've ever come across in an app. It's ridiculous to watch a 30 video that you can't skip every 2-3 minutes. Unacceptable!
That being said, I might have been able to overlook the ads but the gameplay isn't good. Your partner is terrible. There aren't a lot of customization/rule options. Lastly the game mechanics of actually playing cards is very unforgiving and annoying since there is no double tap or swipe required to play. Just a tap will play a card. I've played the wrong card many times due to fat fingers and small card icons.
Do yourself a favor and get the other free Pinochle app. It's not great but it stinks less than this one.

Game programmers
I would have given the game no stars if I could have. Dingbats! I guess you must have dingbats for programmers! In the pass 4 cards mode, my Computer partner. Keeps the cards I need to make a straight. In a real game their going to pass 4 different cards in the Trump suit I named. The other problem is when my partner starts leading trump to take tricks. Once you take all the trump from the other players. It’s time to stop playing trump cards. And keep them until you need them. By using up all the Trump cards in your hand, your opening up the suits that where getting trumped. Therefore putting the opposite team members in control of the rest of the hand! So like I said dingbats with no pinochle game strategy knowledge programmed this game.

Fun game, but has drawbacks
Once you learn the quirks, that can drive you crazy, this game is fun to play. I enjoy bridge and spades, but find the online versions too involved. With this pinochle game I can set my iPad to airplane mode, to avoid all the ads, and finish a game in 10-15 minutes. I like that you can apply strategy in your own play. I agree with other reviews that the bot partner can be frustrating. For example, passing cards that would have been a pinochle or double pinochle when they win the bid.

I've played Pinochle for years and thought I would try this. In more than 15 games, I've had one hand that has decent meld and so have never won a game. Hello, who programmed this game! Would not recommend.

Real Pinochle
I've been playing pinochle for years and I'm not used to either team keeping their meld even if they didn't make the normal 20 points. That is a Golden Rule. Unless you make the difference between what you bid and your meld or you make at least 20 points, you don't keep your meld. So in all actuality, it's not about skill, it's about who gets the better hand. I'm deleting it after I post this. Adios...

I don't know what you guys are complaining about this app is awesome it's kind of like room for the person who said that they have yet to win a game yeah right I have won tons maybe you're not meant to play this game I'm just saying this game is not hard as for the person who was complaining about the ads I have seen WAY worse I LOVE THIS GAME.

Pinochle
I love playing pinochle, but there are a few things that need to change! One, is that my partner wastes aces instead of throwing 10's or kings as counters. Two, your partner shouldn't throw away pinochles! So many times we've gone set because they threw either queens of spades or jacks of diamonds back to me when it would've made double & triple pinochles for them! Argh! That's the name of this game! Ads have also increased to every single time you start. If I find a better one, I'll drop this one because of these.
