Spite & Malice - Classic Game Hack 3.1.8 + Redeem Codes

I still like the game but have been very frustrated lately. Bugs are frequent and advertisements are too often as well as sometimes difficult to get out of. I really am ready to give up playing Spire and Malice for good!

My mother introduced this card game version to me years ago. She loved it and we played every visit. I was so excited to see an app for it! I play it daily and haven't tired of it (as I have other games). I wrote the above comment a number of years ago. Am still playing when this apt works. Many times I get to where I tap to get started and NOTHING happens. I’ve deleted the apt three times but even when I get another it has the same problems! Now the number of ads has increased to the extent I am NOT GOING TO CONTINUE PLAYING THIS GAME. I even deleted the app and got another thinking it would be better. it was not. I play a number of other games and you have double, if not triple, the number of ads. IM FINISHED TRYING-GOOD BYE! Get rid of those stupid ads! I’m sick of seeing them over and over. I don’t think anyone reads these comments so why am I writing them?

The free version of this game includes three choices of skill level — easy, medium, and hard. The paid version includes a fourth level called “spiteful,” which I assumed meant it would be extra hard. But after having paid for it, I’m wondering if it really means, “We will take your money just to spite you.” I signed up for the paid version because the “hard” level on the free version had become too easy. But in the “spiteful” version, the app makes frequent, idiotic moves which allow me to win. It plays cards which would be considered amateur moves. It doesn’t play cards that would block me from winning. Basically, the app just lets me win a lot of the time. I didn’t pay for a more difficult version so that the app would let me win. Also, the paid version includes all of the same annoying advertisements as the free version includes. There is no way to take ads out of this game, even if you pay for it. I understand that app developers need to earn money somehow. But if they are going to charge money, they need to provide something of substance to the people who support them. I feel cheated.

I have been a skipbo (actual cards) player for years but somehow missed ever seeing this game. Don't understand my opponent playing out of his hand and discard pile before removing the one on his play pile. Not a big deal, I still win half of the time. Ads... really folks... complaining about 20 second ads? I think instant gratification is becoming a social disease. You get the game for free, they have to make money somehow since you didn't pay for it. Sounds like you whiners are complaining about getting something you didn't pay for. It's a great fun game. All in all, this game gets high marks from me!

UPDATE: While this game is awesome, and I never tire of it, I now am having problems with the game staying open while I’m playing. It constantly closes on me while playing and I have to enter the game again, “recover” my game, only to have it happen again a few seconds later! Trying to get help from the creator is non-existent. Oh, and the ads are still infuriatingly long and advertise the saddest games! My advice? Don’t even download the game unless you like being frustrated.

I love the game, but am ready to uninstall due to repeated long ads that will not let you out. I even tried going to the website as instructed to upgrade to premium to get rid of the ads, but this game was not anywhere on the site. I then went to the HELP section and filled out a contact form, but pushing the SUBMIT tab got me nowhere, as it did not engage. You have a great game, but you are losing customers due to these frustrations.

I never write a review until I have had a game for a year…this one stood the test of time…until now. Developer plugged in way too too many ads. I would have given this five stars before they pulled this lousy trick.
Today I tried it one more time before I take it off of my devices. Ad plays before you can start a game and then it played three more ads before I was even halfway through the game. The third ad wouldn’t go away and kept playing until I just left the game. So very disappointing and frustrating. I will be deleting this game and looking for a better one to replace it with. Save yourself a lot of grief and don’t download this game.
Developer…if you decide to do away with ads DURING a game, I may come back. I can tolerate an ad to let me play a game, but when I am spending more time watching or trying to delete ads than playing a game, it is certainly NOT worth it!

Than that on which I was raised (Aces must be played, Aces and deuces can’t be wild), but it’s close enough. Previous reviewers are right in that you can tell early on who is going to win. Those long streaks just don’t happen that frequently in the real world. It drives me nuts when the opponent blocks itself, doesn’t play a stack card (plays the same from a hold pile), or plays a bunch of unrelated cards before moving a stack card. I see no difference in play between hard (free) and Spiteful (not free). Finally, the game locks up a lot. Usually on the ads. I have to hard close the app for it to run again and it usually requires I leave it alone for several minutes before reopening. All that being said, I still play it daily, but more like solitaire than competitive. I guess I want it to be more challenging and less predictable.

I have played this app for years every morning. Many of the apps I paid for years ago are now having ads pop up. I am ok with that, I got many years playing ad free, and I know people need to make money. However what is not acceptable is ads that pop up too frequently. I timed it and the ads on this app pop up every 45 seconds. I can’t even finish my turn. Today was the first day that the ads started popping up (the ads that run at the bottom during play have been there for a couple of years and have never interfered with play) and after the first day of ads popping up I am done. I can’t play a game with ads that interrupt game play every 45 seconds. I could deal with every 4-5 minutes but every 45 seconds makes game play miserable.

There are 4 levels — easy, medium, hard and spiteful. For a while I just played easy, medium and hard since they were free. I could deal with ads and the game was still a lot of fun. I received an iTunes gift card for the holidays, so I rewarded this developer for making a nice game and bought the full version.

Unfortunately ads are still in the PAID version. It used to be that ads were only in between games, which is not a big deal. There has been an update so that ads now appear throughout and in between the games.

I emailed the developer hoping that maybe this was a bug or some other error, but no response. The paid version still has ads, so keep that in mind when deciding whether to buy this game or not.

I have played every spite and malice game out there and this one WAS absolutely king of them all…. until now. Don’t get me wrong, the game is still super fun but the ads man!! I get you all need to make money and I support that. Having ads run between hands is acceptable and a good solid compromise. BUT then you went and got greedy and changed it to absolutely annoying and downright aggravating. We are now forced to watch ads every few cards played. Can you say EXCESSIVE. How do you expect players to enjoy the game anymore?!?! I would rather play a lower quality game with ads between games instead. Such a huge disappointment. I have been playing Spite & Malice for over 10 years. Sadly I’m switching to a different developer. You’ve totally let your loyal players down with the advertisement overload. ⭐️❌❌❌❌
