Tauntinator,
Great App!
I’m a retired RN so I no longer have many of the contacts I had when I was working. However, “once a nurse always a nurse” and I still get asked a lot of questions about health issues and medications in particular. This app puts pertinent information at your fingertips in a manner that is both comprehensive and easy to access. I still encounter lots of people who have no idea what to expect from the medications they take but they swallow them anyhow because “the doctor said so”! This app supplies everything I need to educate folks about their meds.

Another wonderful feature is the ability to print out your medication profile to include allergies, medical conditions, procedures you’ve had done, vaccination history, a complete list of all your medical providers, and a full list of all your prescription and nonprescription medication. I’ve not met a doctor yet who isn’t impressed by the printed profile when you have a medical appointment.

Lastly, I find the ability to sync the entire program from my iPhone to and from my iPad invaluable! Great app!
H20W,
BEWARE!!
If I could give negative stars, I would! I should have read the reviews prior to downloading and beginning to use this App. Unfortunately I did not and learned the hard way that this App is a Svam to get your personal medical information then immediately FORCE you to pay to proceed forward with accessing, modifying and/or deleting your medical information. In other words, they STEAL your medical info! Within minutes that I finished entering my prescription/medical information and clicked on the check interactions button, a pop up appeared with subscription options with the tagline to “help support a small family-run business”. There was absolutely NO way to close subscription screen or to decline until later, etc… nor was there any way to regain access to your personal medical information that you had already entered. I’m not an attorney, but this cannot be in compliance with HIPAA laws. I never consented to them stealing my personal medical information. I never clicked on an agreement prior to entering my information with the understanding that by doing so, I would be locked out of accessing my information without being forced to subscribe. This is intentional theft of our most personal and confidential medical information disguised as a helpful prescription tool, but is actually a smokescreen so the developers can stea our personal information and sell it on the open market. I’m all for supporting small family businesses, but not this one!!! User BEWARE!!!
NoraJanePearlito,
Everyone needs this app!
I fell in love with this app as soon as I started using it. This is something I really needed, keeping up with my own meds in addition to those of various family members. Very user friendly.
I’ve only ever had trouble with this app once. It either wouldn’t open, freeze on the main pain and possible a couple of other things, I don’t recall. I received immediate, very responsive attention after I reached out to get this fixed.

One reason I chose this app was because it was free, I don’t pay for apps. If I’m not mistaken, the bugs I mentioned above were not long after this change. I mentioned that I don’t pay for apps but would gladly pay for this one because it truly makes part of my life so much easier & that truly depend upon it but that I would not pay until it was working correctly.

App fixed, working perfectly, happy me, ready to pay.
Then he gives me a free subscription for my troubles! Very happy girl.

I had been using this app a few years before this issue occurred and while I don’t typically leave reviews, I intended to for this because it worked so well for me…I never did. Then, after the instance where I had difficulty, the speed in which my issues were resolved & the friendly response I knew I HAD to leave a review. So approximately six months later here it is.

Long review = Great product
Davebiddle,
My Favorite App
This app has everything I could want to keep track of meds etc. My wife takes a lot of medicines and when we go to a doctor's office it is so nice to open the app and let the nurse see what she takes, how often and what time. I was disappointed a year ago or so when they stopped the ability to sync the information from one device to another by email because of privacy issues. Lo and behold recent I've found out that now you can sync from one device to another even easier than before. Really really nice. The developer seems to really stay on top of the app keeping it up todate and improving it. I'm on a fixed income but this app is well with the little it costs per year. Kudos to the developer.
cfrisch14,
High quality
I don’t normally write reviews but I have been using this app for a long time and I use it almost on a daily basis. There are many reviews out there that are upset with the subscription based service now, and I admit when it first popped up I deleted the app and tried to find another. I found many other apps but none had the quality of content and ease of use as this one. I am a paramedic and use this app almost daily for drug interactions and what not with patients. To me the $10 a year is worth it for medical professionals. If you don’t feel like the price is worth it then you should download and use a different lower quality app, as for me I will gladly pay the fee for the quality of information. Keep up the good work.
Nooo10034848372,
Excellent app
I have used other apps like this before, but this one is different. It will even tell you the percentage of people who got certain side effects from each of your medications. I saw how many of my medications cause dry mouth, now I know why I get cavities. I have not even used it for that long, and I’m so excited to see everything it has to offer. It is a paid app, but you get a free trial, and it is entirely worth it to be on top of your medication management safety. I have even emailed with the creator, I had some questions, and he is lovely. I cannot recommend this enough as someone who is on various medications.
JChristopherB,
Paywall! None shall pa$$!
I understand and appreciate that developers would like to and should see fruits from their labor. And I for one don’t mind helping. However, to block all access to the app completely and shove everything behind a pay wall is, I believe, an egregious reach. There are positive user experience options such as placing ads within this app and having a monthly payment option to have them removed - which could serve the same ends for the developer receiving profits and without being like the Emerald City doorman in the Wizard of Oz. Same result but less of a grating thing for those who want or need to know something in a pinch. If this was an entertainment app I wouldn’t even leave a review, but the information within could be helpful for someone in need. Thankfully, there are other options in the App Store. If anything changes, I will be back, delete this one star review, and replace it if that is possible.
XCH Jr,
Must Have App if Taking Multiple Medications
If you take several medications each day, you need this app. It explains side effects and possible interactions with other meds in plain English.

If your doctor has prescribed a new med for you, this app makes it so simple to quickly check for possible interactions with the meds you already take.

I find doctors are getting better at looking up possible interactions before prescribing new meds but they don’t always do so. And doctors can’t possibly know all the possible interactions. Especially if you’re on a lot of medications.

Your pharmacist is supposed to catch interactions and alert you to concerning side effects but they’re often so busy they don’t always alert you to problems unless you ask them. And that won’t happen at all with mail order.

So be safe, take charge of your healthcare and use Pocket Pharmacist.
DishLCLM,
New Subscription Policies
This app has been great and has lots of very good information. I have had it for many years, but one day I open it to find instead of being able to “restore my purchases” like most other apps that have switched to these kinds of things, I am notified I need to pay a monthly subscription...that’s kind of garbage (and before I get the same reply as others who have left similar reviews, I realize it has been free to access, however, there was an initial purchase price. It has very useful information, and I enjoyed being able to quickly look up something I needed, especially when it came to interactions and safety, but I don’t use it enough to justify paying for a monthly subscription. I hate to say I am deleting this app, but it’s just not worth it.
bnantz,
Updated review
Update:
I have access now to actually try the app out. It’s definitely useful and I like the interactions feature. It has a quiz feature which has been a nice touch for learning about the medications.

Original:
I downloaded, I started using, I got blocked from removing information and doing anything on the app! I can’t get it off of the screen that is trying to force me to subscribe. Terrible experience and I feel so mislead! If I’m paying for a drug guide app then I’m going for Davis Drug Guide
