long time listener 74,
Almost there
I just downloaded the app yesterday and love the concept. My only critiques are that two of my podcasts which are both on iTunes aren’t in the database (one is new so that might be why but the other isn’t). I’d also love to have the option to limit my feed to people I follow - toggle between people I know and the whole community since the full community is what will introduce me to podcasts I’d never heard of. That said, I’m inviting my friends to join.
CEC the Viking,
Podyssey Community
It was a pleasure to talk with Danny Matthews from Podyssey today on Inspirado Projecto! The app is a great way to catch up on the podcasts your friends are listening to and get hooked onto new ones. If you dig an episode of your favourite podcast, you can echo it out for others to see and re-echo themselves! It’s a fantastic social network-of-sorts, bringing similar interests together to geek-out on the podcasts they feel most passionate about. Podcasters - Submit your podcasts to Podyssey for inclusion in their directory, so more Podcastlovers who delight in your perspectives, can find your podcast like a lighthouse (labs) beacon in the night. All around great vibes!
Yogo froyo,
It’s my favorite app
I loved Podyssey from day 1 and often recommend it to my podcast loving friends! The Podyssey community breeds wonderful conversations around so many topics.

One of my favorite things about Podyssey is that it acts like a library of podcasts. My profile and the whole app is filled with a treasure trove of curated playlists and commentary on episodes.

I love connecting with other listeners and even podcast hosts! Podyssey has enhanced my ability to learn and share information from my favorite episodes. If you love podcasts, do yourself a major favor and get on Podyssey!
Tweexicana,
can’t wait to see where this goes 🌟
i really love this podcast tracker! ❣️
i would love to use this app as my main way of listening to podcasts but when i refresh the new episodes, i don’t get ALL of the new episodes which is a bummer. i would also love push notifications for new episodes!
GrfxGuru,
Great podcast player and community
I love using the Podyssey player on both my iPad and iPhone. Plus it has a very positive community where I have found and given some great recommendations.

It is nice to be able to share my thoughts and discuss podcasts with others to being the podcast listening experience full circle and interactive.
Sleepstupid,
Can’t get past import screen
I have the same problem as a previous reviewer. Followed the import instructions except there is no listing for the echo app in the sharing/saving card/tray. Rather than leave a bad review over this I thought would try the support options except those don’t work either. Clicking the “app support” link here on the App Store install page takes you right back to the app where it is stuck on the import screen. Also tried clicking the “developer website “ link here and again same result. Taken right back to a non-functioning app with no way to proceed.
PseudononymousPseudonym,
Seems like a great idea!...
...If I could get it to work with Overcast, that is. I’m stuck not able to import from Overcast. I tapped “from 3rd party app”, watched the how to video, opened Overcast, found the “export opml” button, and tapped - only to find that neither “echo” nor “echo podcasts” is no where to be found in the list of apps to share to. It’s not even visible in either “...” section.

Particulars (hopefully the developer can figure out what’s wrong and issue an update):
iPhone 6s, iOS 11.1.2, Overcast 4.0.1.
punkyspiderman,
Favorite podcast sharing app
Not only do I use this app to share my favorite podcasts and episodes. It has become a way for me to archive which episodes I like best and leave notes about why. A very useful tool for people who use Podcasts to learn things.
Egott25,
Minor issue, but overall love!
I really like this app for finding podcasts and creating playlists to share with friends. However, I’m finding if I don’t listen to an entire episode in one sitting - it doesn’t save the spot where I paused the podcast and I spend so much time trying to find where I left off! If they can fix this bug, totally 5 star app!
Beckmom84,
Good idea, underdeveloped
The interface of this app doesn’t make a ton of sense to me. How am I supposed to find new people to follow? Why can’t I give negative feedback? I feel like this has so much potential to be a cool space to actually discuss podcasts with nuance but right now it’s pretty limiting and using it is not a super rewarding experience. :/
