amyluvsclay,
Fun app for low-fidelity prototyping!
I first heard about the POP app during my UX boot camp. We used it for one of our first projects before we learned to use other design and prototyping tools. The app is very easy to use and quite honestly, it’s very cool! Anyone, not just designers, can use POP to help envision their app ideas. It can also be used to quickly test concepts with users or test basic flows and functionally with developers.

As a UX Designer, I don’t use POP much anymore. But when I do, I will cut out a sheet of approximately the size of an iPhone screen. I’ll use that to trace many screens on another sheet of paper. From there I will draw out the different screens and flows of the app. I’ll even draw and cut things out like drop-down boxes if I want to show more functionality. Then I will take pictures of all the screens and add hot spots links. Ta-da! You have an app!

I think POP would also be great for kids who are interested in design. They can easily draw out screens and link them all together. Having the screens on a mobile device almost makes it feel real. Overall, this is a fun app for low-fidelity prototyping!
SirNird,
Amazing tool!!
I’m learning UX Design and was referred to marvel for easy method of transferring paper wireframes to digital. I didn’t know what to expect but I started a new project and have created paper wireframes for it and wanted to see what it was like using marvel. I am beyond pleasantly surprised at how easy it is!

You take pictures of your drawings and try cropping them to just the image you want to use. It won’t be perfect but it’s just to give you an idea. Then you can add links so you can create a prototype using the drawings on your phone. This has made test driving the buttons so easy and fluid so I know if I need to make changes.

Absolutely recommend this for anyone who spends a lot of time and care with their paper wireframe. Now I’m off to see if I can export any of this to Figma to see how it’ll be at making purely digital lo-fi wireframes to prototype.
Sea language,
Great little tool for making fast mobile prototypes
I use this tool in a class I teach on UX design. I ask students to download the app to photograph rough whiteboard sketches and then link them into clickable prototypes. They quickly understand how to work the app and they can evaluate or test their ideas. In the process they also start to understand how to work more complex prototyping tools. I really appreciate this app.

Really innovative
I haven’t been using it for too long, but this idea is genius. It is super useful and fairly well made.

My main suggestion is to improve the design abilities. The pen tool is virtually useless which is the biggest problem. I would like more icons available. There is no easy way to make a background besides making a large box.

Otherwise, this is super neat and I haven’t seen any ads so far!
FauBAM,
Easy to get your hands dirty and start getting feedback
This app is very easy to use and makes it simple to get your ideas out of your head and into a format that you can easily share with people. It helps take the guess work out of setting up app development requirements. This platform saves time and helps you refine you iterate your ideas quickly.
Retepa-Napa,
Great Concept, Needs more APIs
As a designer this app is pretty cool. I can essentially give a working prototype rather quickly. As a developer, it’s lacking on APIs. Google Drive and other cloud storage (especially with open APIs) should have some time invested in them. Those alone will make a HUGE DIFFERENCE! I’d also try to partner up with Adobe’s Creative Cloud. And then try to add some hyperlink connectivity. If I could link these images to actual sites or html documents I could use this all day everyday.
spicykorok,
Good for prototyping, just missing some features
Like renaming projects. Auto correct butchered one of my project names and for some reason there is no option to rename it. I checked Marvel’s website which states that you should be able to after opening a project or folder but for some reason that doesn’t trigger the option. I’m wondering if those instructions were meant for their OTHER prototyping app — in any case if the option exists it’s not very apparent.

Useful for prototypes
It’s a bit hard at first to get used to how this app works. But after using it for a bit, I’ve realized that this app isn’t so difficult to use. It was pretty enjoyable for me to be making a prototype app for one of my classes.
singerjan,
Very cool but . . .
This is a very cool way to create and test an app prototype - I created a simple app that was actually useful. However, once I saved the project I found I could not edit any pages anymore. As I had left off the book now button, I had to redo the entire app.

I have several more apps to create and test - will see if my experience with this first app pays off.
Dadams141,
Can’t adjust photos
It is impossibly frustrating how difficult it is to adjust my images. Once I take a photo, I cannot even rotate the image. If the image I want to use is part of a larger screenshot, I am unable to zoom in on something near the edge of the screen…it just automatically bounces back to the middle of the image. It was so frustrating that I actually gave up and decided not to use the app at all. A shame because it seems like a fun prototyping tool for paper wireframes.
