Welcome to Port Defender, a fun area defense game. Your goal is to build expansive mazes in order to stop ever expanding waves of creeps from escaping. For players who seek a more guided approach story and fixed path levels are also available for a predefined and challenging experience.

Notes: This game does not track your behavior or attempt to sell your information off. It can be played offline. You can create local accounts to have multiple games going at the same time. The only in-app purchases are for additional cheats and are one time only.

It's been over a year since the 1.0.32 update, but the 1.1.0 update is finally ready for public consumption. The term update really doesn't accurately describe the scope of the changes, but we basically re-wrote everything from the ground up, built new tools and re-did all the artwork in order to make playing the game easier and more entertaining.

I have been playing port defender for years, and it is still the best tower defense game in the iStore.

Decent update, but not thoughtful
When trying to move an item from the bottom row into the field, it opens all apps on the iPhone.

During quick game play this is very jarring and frustrating.

Move the row of items up a tad so that this doesn’t happen.

I cannot add much to all these other reviews. They are accurate in the main, this is a good game. I'll add one item in rebuttal to these one star jacka$$es who can't be bothered to read the manual. You cannot place a tower on the path that the creeps have chosen for the current wave. That path is shown by the red squares when you hover a new tower over the board. To block the current path, you have to wait for the interval between waves. If you have any reservations, try the free version before buying. best tower defense game
Best tower defense game on iPad, but make sure to buy the upgrade if you want to beat the maps with high scores. I like the way it's straight forward tower defense, no "bouncing enemies around" puzzles, just choose the right combo and location of towers to beat an increasingly difficult enemy march. And there is a ton of variety in the maps, from free form to totally structured. And you can play 90 rounds or 300 rounds in random mode. Just don't forget to buy the free admin upgrade, and use the admin as soon as it appears in level 30. Load fully upgraded towers. Many hours of challenging fun, and 5 difficulty levels that each play a bit differently and help with learning curve.

I've had this game for a while now and I've definitely gotten my moneys worth :). The developer does a great job of updating regularly! I would highly recommend this for people who have hours of free time to minutes.
I really like how you can just pick it up and play where you last left off. :)
Another nice thing is you can play your own music in the background.

Great game. Kudos. I scooped it up during the free give away and here is my review for payment. At this time however, I'm sorry but I can't give you the full five. But here are my humble suggestions:

1) SOUNDS. we all love the sound of gun fire, c'mon

2) confusing interface. Isn't normal the same as medium? How do I unlock things? What the heck does Source mean? And what's the difference between common and random?

3) a little tighter control of admin would be appreciated.

That's pretty much it. Obviously more polish is always appreciated, but not always neccessary for a 5 star. Enough levels, towers, enemies for sure. It would be nice to see the bullets or microwaves from each tower actually land on the enemy. Overall wonderful job. A little xtra effort and I assure you you'll reap the benefits. Thanks again for the free game.
