Welcome to Port Defender® Lite, a fun area defense game that has just received its biggest update ever. Your goal is to build expansive mazes in order to stop ever expanding waves of creeps from escaping. For players who seek a more guided approach story and fixed path levels are also available for a predefined and challenging experience.

Notice: On first launch this application will need a few seconds to create its internal database, later it will load instantly. Please don't turn off your device while there is a spinning symbol or it says please wait.

It's been over a year since the 1.0.32 update, but the 1.1.0 update is finally ready for public consumption. The term update really doesn't accurately describe the scope of the changes, but we basically re-wrote everything from the ground up, built new tools and re-did all the artwork in order to make playing the game easier and more entertaining.

Major Changes:
1) Complete Engine rewrite to straight C++
2) New in-game memory management/recycling infrastructure
3) Upgraded to ARC builds to reduce UI memory leaks

Great
I love the game, it's a nice game that has a decent amount of coolness and action without mindless killing violence. It's a perfect balance you play in front of your friends and your kids. It may not be HD but it doesn't waste your battery. It's one of those games that you can play and watch TV or do something else at the same time depending on the difficulty because you don't always have to be right there looking at it. The only thing I would say they should do is make more and all the maps free.

Great strategy game
This is one of the few free games I've played more than once. In fact, I have played this game for dozens of hours. It really is addicting. It is the best tower defense game I have discovered. I am really looking forward to the documented, but yet implemented ADMIN tower... which I just discovered is in the paid version. The latest update made the free version impossible in certain cases because of the division of tower defense types, but I bought the paid version and the Admin makes up for this extra challenge. That and the fact that towers can be upgraded six levels instead of just one. Great intro to the paid upgrade, which is even better. Without the Admin to make up for the extra challenge of the divided tower defense types, this version is not as fun as the previous version. Dropping my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. Buy the full version if you want the 5 star experience; it really is worth the buck... or more.

Best Ever! But...
I love Tower Defense games and this THE best I could find for the iPod Touch. However, I was really stumped a bit because it didn't explain what each type of gun does. It only gives names to the guns that are not self-explanatory. So, it may take some experimenting to figure it all out (I still haven't figured out everything). Even though this is not a big deal, it shouldn't be hard to provide a brief explanation for each gun. But, besides that, the game itself is so fun and addicting!

It's fun for a short while, but it's free so how can I complain?
This is a fun tower-defense style game. Once you go through all the levels (which doesn't take long), there's not much left in terms of variations. I did not buy the full version, this rating is only for the free version - I enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who enjoys tower defense games.

Great game...
This game is one of the top 10 td free apps and u cannot master this game in an hour so u will have a good time masteering the game and all the levels included in this free app... Could use new updates and a couple deesigning improvements but its completly worth giving it a try... Especially with all these shot out lame td's they have for free apps... Play it nowww

Great game!! Very addicting!!! Needs more weapons, the speed up button is weird why would it make it faster every time you touch it, it should speed up and then push to slow down. Great game though!!!

Not worth the 5 second download
The app like a decent app at first but after a few minutes its problems come about. 1. It looks like Mario for the gameboy color. 2. The turrets fire way too slowly. Even upgraded! Being a huge fan of tower defense games, this the worst one I've ever played! Allot of problems have to be fixed and updated before I would come back to this app. In fact I think I will delete it after I finish this review! A brick wall locks prettier than this!!!!!!
