The purpose of this book is to provide you with images to inspire you. A book dedicated to help guide every artist, to learn about, construction, form, balance anatomy, proportion, folds in clothing, gesture, silhouettes, portraiture, lighting, hands, perspective, and contrast.
With the images in the Posebook, you can sketch for the fun of it. Learn how to draw humans from the side view, back view, understand how the head tilts, how a body sits, understand the angles of a foot. You can study and draw the back of an ear, the underside of a nostril, the bottom of a shoe. Whatever you feel you need to practice, this is your chance. I find that when I am struggling, or uninspired, what works for me is to find photos that look like fun to draw. So I set in motion the tools to create the pose book that I always wanted. Best figure app ever!
This is the best app for practicing figure drawing. I can take it anywhere and love the poses! Such a great app! If you don’t already have it also get the Character Design Shuffle app. I often get stuck and don’t know what to draw and these tools help spark inspiration.

Ok, could use some work
I’m a huge Stephen Silver fan. I’ve got his book and I’ve taken his course on Schoolism. 100% worth it!
That said, this app is a bit lacking. The images are actually surprisingly low-res. Sometimes when you’re doing the timed drawing, it’ll give you the space between two separate photos instead of centering a photo. Not a HUGE deal but at this price you expect better. Contemplating returning it...

This app has helped take me to a new level in gesture sketching! No more tight hand and worried eye. Just had to loosen up!

Great app!! All the images are great and I love using them to practice and warm up but sadly none of the videos work which is really disappointing.....

THANK GOD FOR THIS APP!!!
This app has honestly been SO helpful towards my improvement. The app doesn't just give you poses, but it gives you poses from EVERY ANGLE!! So not only are you able to learn what each angle looks like in a certain pose but you are able to study WHY a body leans a certain way, and you are getting a better understanding of the measurements. I feel like this app is perfect for NOT only beginners but even professionals! It's not only a learning tool but a fun tool as well!! SO many great poses, so exciting and impressed with this app. -Lauren

Great app for artists
It's a little pricey, but it's packed with a ton of content. The images of the models all provide clear, animated posed that are perfect for cartoonists looked for some character and attitude in their models. The accompanying videos are very helpful and the bonus guest artwork and sketches are nice to have.
My chief complaints lie with the app itself. I've had it lock up multiple times while I navigate image galleries, and the general interface, while simple, is particularly inellegant and boring.
Other than that, the female version of Posebook is a little under stocked as it features fewer models, and (in my opinion) far less inspired subject matter (country girl? huh?), but it does include both male and female hand models and a bunch of close-up facial expressions. And that is awesome.
Overall, this is definitely worth a purchase if you need some inspiration for sketching to get your creative juices flowing. I've been drawing cartoons and comics all my life and this app is a godsend. I look forward to any sort of animals or couples Posebooks you may produce in the future, Mr. Silver! Thank you!

Can you imagine how much it must have cost in both time and money to hire models and shoot thousands of professional quality photos of them using expensive gear. On top of that you get an entire drawing course in the form of instructional videos.
And the whole package was created by a guy with decades of real-world industry experience.
And you can get all that and carry it around on your pocket. And these people are complaining because it costs a lousy ten bucks.
Look of you have a skill that takes years of hard effort to acquire and you invest hundreds of hours into building something where you're sharing that knowledge, it's reasonable to expect a fair price for that.
Anyway, this is an awesome app and an incredible value, so of you want to work on your drawing skills I recommend buy it.

Awesome app!
I've been drawing for many years, and have used many different versions of pose books over time. This app fills a need that has been unanswered to date. It offers a great reference, amazing ideas for the use of the poses, and very detailed tutorials.
It is the most complete package I have ever seen. I especially like the timed poses. It is like going to a drawing workshop without having to leave the house. This is a must for any artist who wants to practice their craft.

What a truly useful and inspiring tool
This is such a thoughtfully assembled app. I had bought other apps with poses but they were boring static unrealistic poses. THIS is FUN and juicy and interesting to work with. I can't wait to have time each day to play with this. It will truly educate my eye and challenge my drawing skills. Thank you for such a well and lovingly made app! You've helped make my daily drawing exercises so much more interesting!
