Best audio client for iOS
Prism is by far the best audio client available on iOS for Plex users. I genuinely appreciate the ability to download whole artist discographies, specific albums or my entire library without arbitrary limits (looking at you, Plexamp). Downloads are also apart of the library itself rather than split off into a separate UI which makes it seamless to play music regardless of your connection.
The user interface fits in really well with the iOS design and is pleasant to use and interact with. With Jellyfin and subsonic support coming in a future release, Prism will soon become the go-to audio client for all self-hosters.
Thank you Lachlan for building a great app the community can benefit from. One feature request I have would be to add in playback stats. Plexamp can do this with Plex but could be a private API. Hopefully with Jellyfin support, this could become a possibility.

This is now the only music app used on my iPhone. Streaming my Plex library of flac files sounds incredible in my car. So far I have had only a single instance of connectivity issues, and that was caused by my cable provider. Otherwise no buffering whatsoever. The only playback issue that I would hope to see improvement on is that the app doesn’t always remember where I was when listening to my entire library on shuffle, but to me that’s a very minor problem. The presentation of the album art and track info is gorgeous, and my only other wish would be that the text in dark mode would be changed to all white, the gray used there is a bit hard to read. Other than that, I’m thrilled to have found this app. Kudos to the developers, really well done!

Really excellent for listening to Plex library
I originally bought this app just to be able to access my Plex music library from CarPlay, which it does pretty well. But I’ve wound up using the app all the time when all I want to do is listen to music. The Plex app tries to do too much, and it’s great to have a single app focused on accessing one type of media from your Plex library.
One thing I do wish is if it was easier to find music in the CarPlay interface. Having buttons dedicated to showing all the Artists or Albums in my library is not useful since it’s just a massive list I have to scroll through. I guess I could get to the album I want to listen to eventually, but I’ll probably get in a car accident while scrolling through the list!

It just works.
After much frustration with PlexAmp, I went looking for an alternative and found Prism. The last straw for PlexAmp was tonight all it showed was a blank black screen. No indication it was doing anything or that it had some sort of problem connecting to my Plex server. Just blackness. I installed Prism and had my Plex music library loaded in less than a minute. No headaches. No mysterious failure to load. It just worked.
What sold me is the fact that my Apple music is loaded right alongside my Plex music. Now I don’t have to remember where the song I want to listen to was purchased a decade ago. That by itself is worth $4.99.
Downloads for offline listening are super simple too. And fast. Downloading an album took less than 20 seconds. Now I can listen to my music in places where cellular service is nonexistent.
Finally, the interface is simple and clean, and it follows Apple’s standards so I don’t have to hunt around for stuff like AirPlay so I can play on my Roku soundbar.
This is what I have been wanting for years. Bye bye PlexAmp and Apple Music.

The definitive music app for Plex
I had almost dispaired of finding a decent music player for my Plex library. The official Plex apps have weird UI and are buggy, with exceedingly poor support for offline playback.
This app is amazing. UI-wise, it doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. It's very similar to the iOS music app but without the constant Apple Music spam. It's clean and easy to use and largely follows iOS UI conventions. It also has excellent support for offline playback. I was able to download my entire Plex music library (23 gigs) in about 15 minutes. I've been trying to do this for 3 days with the official Plex app and it still hasn't finished.

Best music player period
I’ll just say this app is awesome! I just started using plex and I’ve always been frustrated with how most music players force me to use their navigation system. This app gives you so much control over how you want to set up the navigation and filter of your music files. Worth every penny for the in app upgrade. Don’t hesitate it’s worth the upgrade. It’s worth more in my opinion. Extremely good app for listening to music files via plex or Apple Music. Mainly plex.

Extremely Effective
I really appreciate the effort here. Whereas PlexAmp focuses a bit more on eye-candy over functionality, Prism demonstrates a clear commitment to usability. Offline and online listening is well thought out and unified. Downloading tracks is managed within a tab, but everything shows within one centralized library view (not two like PlexAmp does). Tracks and albums show tags if downloaded. THEN, you can easily filter the entire library by “downloaded”, and now you have your localized library suitable for commuting through cellular dead zones. Moreover, I downloaded hundreds of tracks at one time, with no crashes or issues. Very stable.

Great app, very useful, looks slick
I have a large collection of music on my Plex server. The Plex app works okay for streaming, but it doesn’t have the Apple CarPlay feature, Prism music has it and works well. I also needed the ability to download my music to my phone as I like to play my FLAC music files in the best quality without eating all my data.. again prism delivers on this front and without the need to subscribe to a PlexPass. Thanks developer(s), I’m very happy with my purchase!

Better than the Plex app for music (updated)
I only use Plex to stream my music library but their app is not that great. I only need this app to add Chromecast support (dev, please I beg you even as an experimental feature ) & the ability to create playlists from filters. Not sure if later is already possible but it’s not easily found. Thanks for a great app.
Update: Would love to see more icons/accent colors added & better music discovery for larger libraries (Plex’s radio features, similar artists etc). Lastly I would appreciate Jellyfin support as the native Jellyfin app is not ready for prime time.

Wow it’s very impressive
I think this is pretty much the perfect music app for me. Ticks all of my boxes except maybe two, but the ones it does tick, it does them well. I enjoy the player itself and the filters are very effective and fun. What I wish was implemented was a grid view for the album art and artist pictures to make it faster to scroll through. If possible some sort of lyric view would also be amazing. This app is great and I have purchased it on both my iPad and iPhone, thank you!
