Description

ProBikeGarage is a bicycle maintenance tracker that integrates with Strava and allows users to receive maintenance notifications at different intervals and analyze how long components last.

* Don't worry about anything else than pedaling and we'll let you know when your components require some maintenance or replacement.
* Log in using your existing Strava account to synchronize all your bikes and rides automatically.
* Register your component, add it to one or more bikes and it will be associated to its actual rides: distance and moving time will be updated based on total rides.
* Install components only for some kind of rides, as you do in real life: different rear tyre and cassette for indoor/outdoor, lighter tyres for a race and front light for commute.

Registering your components' services may require a little bit more info than a few words. From service price to the workshop you visited. Or the tools and parts you used in case you do maintenance on your own. Now you can log all that info and more in the new service's notes field.

We have added the ability to filter not-installed parts in your components list. This should help you find the right gear in your day-to-day operation.

We have also fixed an annoying crash when trying to sync your Strava activities from the bike/component rides list. This version also includes minor interface fixes to improve your experience with ProBikeGarage.

Thanks for all the feedback, and stay tuned for the upcoming news!

egaertner,
Great concept, buggy UI
This is a great concept but the UI doesn’t seem to be updated to work well with the latest phones and OS. Some text is off the edge and hard to tap. Some headers randomly change the black making text difficult to read. I will still use it because I love the idea but wish it was cleaned up more.
Eggzilla1,
Fails to pull in Strava bike components
Really great features, but I thought this would be a nice, easy way to get a handle on all the parts on all my bikes. However, it only pulls in bikes and associated rides, it does not pull in the parts I’ve already built onto all my bikes in Strava. This means I have to spend hours duplicating work in this app if I want to track part maintenance.

A lot of common parts are not listed in the apps. For instance, I can find E-Thirteen and some DT-Swiss wheelsets, but it doesn’t have my SRAM Roam wheels. The components appear to be user generated, which is actually nice because I can can track individual pieces of gear that I’ve moved from bike to bike.

I guess I’ll get to work transferring stuff over manually since this app appears to have a a lot better handle on maintenance. Good thing I’m in quarantine for now...
Man12688,
Not recommended
I just downloaded the app. The syncing with Strava was no problem. The app is pretty easy to navigate. However, the most important thing is to add components and unfortunately the app is a complete fail in regards to that. There are a lot of very common components that are not listed like SRAM X01 Shifter or derailleur, DT Swiss hubs, Shimano XT brakes, or OneUp pedals. Just to mention a few. I read a couple reviews before purchasing it and they had the same complaints. I thought since some of the reviews were written awhile ago the developer would have a more comprehensive component list, wrong. It doesn’t take that long to add components, especially very common ones like shimano or SRAM components. I really would like to get a refund. Very disappointing.
Gordito1973,
Exactly what I needed
I like riding a bike. Over the last 4 years I’ve ridden/commuted to/from work 6k-8k-11k-11k kilometers annually. While not record braking volume the kilometers add up fast and failing to do maintenance in time is costly. I’ve kept track of components on my Strava account but Strava doesn’t send reminders. This app syncs with my Strava account, allows me to add any component I want, define the start date, retire a component and above all schedule maintenance intervals and most importantly sends me reminders. For the $2.99 it cost it saves me €€€ if not €€€€! Perfect.
HeavyLoader,
Didn’t work
Tried about 5 times but the sync to Strava didn’t work (time-out) and it appears I can’t progress from the sync screen.

Needs a trial version for free.

UPDATE: I was contacted by the developer. The Strava sync is working! The app is a little rough but useful...so far. I set up some gear and will monitor. I love the idea of what it promises. We’ll see if it delivers. I changed from 1->4 stars.
CF Scott,
Need family plan
The app works well for a single rider. I maintain the bikes in our family of 5 and can’t sync the app with my wife and kid’s accounts. A possible workaround would be to allow the user to create manual bikes and update their mileage directly with in the app. I suppose I could create the bikes on my Strava account but would still need a method of updating the mileage directly in the app.
mfa81,
was expecting more!
Component list is deprecated, no rockshox deluxe shocks that I could find, no 2020 suspension from rockshox which has a different service interval recommendation. Lifetime of components completely outside of reality with tires at 1200+ miles and brake pads 2000+ miles, no tire or pads are gonna last that much, same for chain. I will have to name components and manually add service intervals! Not worth the money compared to what strava gets you for free, only benefit is that you can track time vs only miles.
bbrackem,
A good first start...
The app is a good first effort. But needs more refinement. Needed fields include: tire pressure, sealant component option, bike fit specs and a general notes section not tired to component. Also in the rides section for each bike, all bike types and all associated rides appear. Not helpful. Only the rides associated with that bike need displayed.
bglover11,
Pretty good, some refining needed to be great
One of the more annoying things is having to re-authorize Strava about once a week so that it keeps things up to date. Other than that a few things are clunky but does what I need it to!
oldred,
Dark mode hides text and images
I LOVE the app. I’ve been wanting something like this for a long time. I will say that it does not seem to be configured for dark mode.
