Me and my boyfriend both downloaded the app after our filter light was flashing red after replacing the filter today. Neither of us could get the Bluetooth to work. The idea for an app that shows usage and allows you to order replacement filters sounds great... IF IT ACTUALLY WORKED!! Shout out to the person who posted the comment about the stuck tab inside the unit. Once we got it to click out our filter light turned green... you my friend were more help than the actual PUR website or app!!
CP McG,
Great app, missing one helpful feature!
I really like using this to track my usage. I like that I don’t need to sync it right away, though that is helpful in keeping accurate track of your water intake. I have it syncing with Apple Health which syncs with my healthcare providers app.
I don’t always have my phone handy when refilling my water bottle so it’s nice that the filter will hold the data from prior uses for several days and sync the next time I have my phone near. It will actually remind you to do this if it’s been awhile. Nice touch.
The only thing I wish it also had was an ability to delete more than one filter use record at a time. My girlfriend also uses this and is not tracking her usage, so I end up with tons of useless 8 - 32 oz entries and have to swipe-delete, swipe-delete... multi select would be appreciated!
Other than that it’s a simple app that does what it says. Haven’t had any issues yet for about 3 months and 2 filters now.
Kruen82,
Edit How to reset for new filter
It works for the first filter just fine, but it doesn’t seem to notice when the filter is replaced.
Edit: after you remove the old filter if you look inside the filter housing on the side that water comes from you will see a long tab that’s pushed in flat. With no filter in place(and removed from faucet)bump filter system until that tab pops up. That is supposed to be automatic but for me at least it stay stuck in and wouldn’t reset and kept saying I needed to replace the old filter.
Vladimir NY Brooklyn,
This is a new filter. They work three times less. This is a hoax.
bad app !
I used 23 gallons of water for a month and a half and the filter stopped working I changed a new filter but the application shows that I have an old filter and continues to read new data on the old filter. Last year, the filters actually worked for 3 months or 100 gallons of water; now they started to make new filters that work three times less, or even in 4 this is a very bad fraud for buyers.
Jpizzle83,
Changed filter 2 days ago
Filter was changed because the app said it was red. 2 days later app says this new filter is now red and needs to be changed. Trash filtration system or trash app. Which is it? For as much as people pay for these things you’d think there wouldn’t be any issues with the product support.
Eric from High Point,
Almost perfect
Clean UI and excellent hardware! But please either add a bulk import function, or drop the ‘Stay on this Page’ prompt after adding each downloaded usage. Have the UX devs imagine the use case of someone who refills a 14oz glass 2-3 times per hour, eighteen hours, everyday—but connects to the filter once per day to download data.
AnAppyCustomer,
App doesn’t recognize when old filter is replaced
This is mildly infuriating... you’d think that there would be an easy way to sync the app to the new filter. I’m sure that if enough people leave poor reviews that it will get fixed, ya think?

Apple Watch
Is there any way to get a reminder and see the water intake on my apple watch?

Doesn’t work
Although this claims to measure your Pur device, despite following all of the instructions, it doesn’t even recognize my device. What a waste of time.
LooseArchitect,
Just for marketing
...wasn’t happy with lots of functions , now I have changed my filter accordingly (even it shows that it’s 62% good) and still not adjusted to the new one. Keeps telling that it’s been over three months
