Needs are being met in my community!

Purposity has taken their already successful model of purpose through generosity to an entirely new level with this app! I just gave it a test drive and met a need for a kid in my city. Worked flawlessly! I recently had a conversation with a social worker friend who uses Purposity’s powerful network to help meet the physical needs of those under her care. She gave a glowing review! It’s been a real game-changer for her and her colleagues. Needs are met quicker and logistical hurdles have been removed. It’s such a good feeling knowing I’m helping meet real needs of kids in my community.

Great Causes, Prompt Support, Terrible UI

I have given plenty of needs and think this is the premier idea for a direct relief application in the modern era. Anytime there is an issue with functionality, the team responds promptly. That being said it lacks significantly in user experience. Frequently the application freezes, force quotes, or simply cannot execute when meeting a need. It has the option for Apple Pay, but when selecting it says that the functionality is not supported. It took months for team needs to accurately reflect nets met and monetary value contributed, but I cannot reliably confirm it updates as when I can contribute to a team, it does not appear to update in real time. Once these bugs are resolved it could be transformative in direct relief and I can imagine it transforming from just direct relief to subscription based giving for ongoing empowerment and sustaining contributions to great causes.

A great way to help your local community

I find so much fulfillment in Purposity. I’ve been a user since Purposity was web-only (before the app existed) and the app makes it even better. Purposity finds real needs in your local community and allows you to meet them with a few taps. No more sending money to place you’ve never heard of, or through layers of bureaucracy that shave off the top. The thank-you messages I get back from social workers and recipients are awesome. Download and find more purpose in your life today!!!

Changing The World!!

It has been tremendously exciting to see the difference that is happening within the state of Idaho. Purposity is the tool that has provided the ability for members in the community to be aware of local student needs. This application is community engagement and as an Idaho State Department of Education representative, I cannot recommend Purposity enough to school districts and communities throughout the country. It is an honor and a privilege to work with Dr. Jamie Rife! I look forward to meeting all our future community engagement goals with Purposity!!

Generosity for OUR generation.

This is the easiest way to help others. In a busy world, this app intersects my life with an opportunity to do good once a week. We can do a doctors appointment from our cell phones, but have no idea if someone 2 streets over has food to eat or clothes to wear. With Purposity, that changes! With millions of people using this, there won’t be a need in our communities we can’t meet.

Looked so promising

I was so excited to hear about this app given the story behind it and the potential to make such a big difference. However, the app has a lot of flaws - a large one being that there are two payment methods as options on the screen to donate for each cause and one of them is never actually accepted (Apple Pay). I’ve reached out through their website to try to ask if this and other specific glitches will be fixed, but never heard back. So disappointing since this is something I was hoping my whole company could get behind.

Make the “Optional” donation button darker

I love this app and love helping out. I’m also glad that I can now donate to Purposity to help them continue. What I don’t like is how the “optional” donation button is already set at 15% and is a very slight shade different from the other options, so you can barely tell what’s selected. It almost seems like it was designed that way, which is unfortunate coming from a charity organization. These tactics have no place for a charity organization. Hopefully, this was done unintentionally.

Makes helping someone easy and convenient

I love this app! It connects me with a list of folks and their specific needs, making donating a breeze. Today, I won a Super Bowl pool. I popped open the app and was able to share my good fortune with several others. I’m a sucker for kids in need of books or clothes but also enjoy helping fill a new home with cooking utensils or bedding.

Restoring Optimism

The transparency of knowing what and where your donation is going is game changing. But Purposity when another level by partnering with agencies and school systems to verify that the way to help those in need will actually HELP! Wow! Not to mention then reading the follow up story after is a beautiful way to restore optimism in the lives of all humans. This truly is a new way to be generous in our generation.

Simple way to make a difference

I love the idea behind Purposity, so I was excited to see that the app is now available. Signing up was super easy and it was simple to browse the current needs in my area. I look forward to using this platform as a way to help others in my community and I can’t wait to share it with my friends.
