Very User friendly, but lacking in some features
TLDR - Easy to use and very helpful for organization. Missing some features that are not essential for use, but would be a convenient and pleasant addition in the future.
The notebook organization system and the ease of changing writing utensil, page format, and incorporating images is noteworthy. It is also very easy to export notebooks in various formats (though the premium expansion is needed for some of the aforementioned features). It also works incredibly with the Apple Pencil.
However, there are some relatively common features that are currently missing, and could be helpful if added in the future.
-To my knowledge, there is no method to reorder pages, only add and remove.
- There is also no ruler tool, which has some niche cases where it would be helpful. While I understand it wouldn’t not be a significant priority for most users, I am surprised that even the paid tools do not compare with the included markup tools on Apple’s iBooks
-There is also no ability to copy and paste a portion of a page or a whole page, which can be helpful when weighting lengthy equations or statements
-there is no ability to separate or move specific selections of writing around the page, even though text and images can be moved as overlays
Overall, I like the app a lot, and I feel it has a lot of potential. However, there are many features I have seen in competitor’s apps that are missing.

Useful
I used to write in Samsung Notes when I had a Samsung tablet. After having iPad I searched a lot to find a similar app for writing and QuickNotes was better than the others for my purpose. Although I still miss Samsung Notes, I am getting used to QuickNotes.
I keep journaling so it’s nice to have the feature that one can create different notebooks with different covers. I also wanted an app that I could have simple environment and this app have it all.
However, I like to write with a brush having pencil texture. It would be so great to add pencil brush to the brush menu. There is something that is a little irritating, stylus and finger touch are active simultaneously and this makes an unwanted zooming or brush strokes when I try to write with stylus. Could you please add an option to turn off finger touch completely.

Update messed it up
I used to love this app, I even paid to have access to all of its features. It was perfect to take notes as a college student and even helped me with doing homework. But the once simple and sleek app is now complicated to use and simply looks tacky. My biggest complaint is that after the update the app is now requiring 98 GB of space to run properly. Now, I have a 128 GB iPad, of which I am using about 38 GB. It would seem that I have plenty of room left on my iPad, which I do, but not according to this app. Every time I try to use it now with it requiring 98 GB the app crashes, which is really annoying when trying to take notes in class. It has basically made it so that if I wanted to continue using this notes app I would have to delete everything else off of my iPad and use it solely for this one app. In my opinion this is not worth it and just plain ridiculous. There’s no reason for it requiring so much space on my iPad to run properly as it was never an issue before the update. I will be switching the notes app I use, and I suggest others do as well.

I have been using QuickNotes X for a long time, and after the last update I have to say that I’m impressed by how good it has become!
The new look is really intuitive and easy to use, much more than other apps I have tried. Everything is accessible right away, and the possibility to choose the layout I prefer is something I’ve never seen before but that is a much welcomed bonus for customization.
There is a wide range of available tools that cover the needs of both students, like me, and professionals. And the Shape Recognition feature is especially useful if you don’t have an excellent handwriting or if you want to always have perfect geometry.
Writing is really smooth, which helps a lot when taking notes during long lectures. Also, having this many covers for notebooks and folders makes really easy to organize my notes and find them whenever I need.
Lastly, thanks to its support for iCloud I can finally review my notes on my computer, without going through the hassle of manually exporting everything.
Overall, I am really impressed with how the app has evolved, and I can confidently say that QuickNotes X is now my go-to app for taking notes! I really suggest everyone to download it and give it a try!

Love the simplicity aesthetic layout just need minor adjustments
Overall love how simple the layout is on the app and I’m definitely planning to buy the full pack. Just my one thing as I’m writing with my Apple Pencil and my Adonit dash my palm is creating a master piece of line work below as I’m writing lol. I use the app to brainstorm my new ideas and art projects like how I would do on a normal notebook. And transferring to another app thru pdf very convenient i can keep organized thru my apple files. My reason giving 4 stars it’s missing palm rejection function when I’m writing with my Apple Pencil. Other than that I do enjoy using the app

Most recent update ruined it
I LOVED this app until the most recent update. Every single note I had done horizontal just didn’t update; I’m left with a page with writing all over and no ability to return to the previous and correct format.
Be careful if you write anywhere near the edge of the paper…you’ll swipe to a new page and won’t be able to actually write unless you exit it out of that page and go back in. It’s annoying and happens so often that I don’t even bother to use the app anymore.
It also suddenly drains my battery. 45 minutes of using it dragged my battery from 58% to 36%.
Loss of functionality, draining the battery, complete loss of previous notebooks? No thanks.
I really loved this app before, I used it daily. It’s a shame that the new update ruined so much. Hopefully there will be fixes, but I can’t see myself using this app unless there are.

Messy, Blurry, Glitchy
I only used this app for a little while. Every stroke I made eventually went blurry and nearly unreadable, or moved to the side slightly. I don’t have much to say positively about it. It only allows a notebook or two to be made for free, and something as simple and much needed as a text box is pay-only, which is not user-friendly at all for what it is. Things as simple as that should come for free, and as I looked I found that other apps offer these things at no cost. I downloaded another similar app called Notability for free, which is A) much more organized, B) more customizable, and C) much more stable. The pay-to-access features in Notability actually make sense, and have more templates to use for free as well. Messy, blurry, and glitchy notes don’t make for good retention or ease of use. It was frustrating and annoying trying to get what I needed down and in an organized fashion.

Where are my folders
I recently change my iPad and when I checked my application everything disappeared I bought the premium to have more folders and divide my information and now I can’t find everything I lost everything I need help on how to find everything that I lost I went to Apple they said that I have to communicate with you guys and I will be appreciating that you respond as soon as possible because most of the folders that I have are very important for me thank you

The update messed it up
It was a fine app. I paid to use all of its features and I’ve used it to take notes in college for a whole year now. It did it’s job, it was easy to understand and I enjoyed not having to buy a physical notebook. Then the update happened. I can’t write a sentence anymore without the new features getting in the way. The new “simpler design” made everything more complicated and honestly it just looks tacky.
ALSO the update decided to erase one of my notebooks since I had it open before turning off my iPad. A whole classes notes, gone, and all I have now is a crappy update and no way to get it back

Broken Update
Been using this as my note hub for a year. A new update came out recently that causes the app to crash and glitch constantly. Old notes aren’t compatible with the update, they will crash the app if you attempt to write on them. Page formats were deleted, the new grid format is too large and doesn’t match pre update notes. Double tap setting to flip page keeps turning back on and will glitch the page making your writing invisible until you exit and re-enter the notebook. When the app crashes the last 30 seconds of notes are deleted. Frustrating, I will be switching apps as now my notebooks are unreliable.
