Pretty good
There are complaints that the app requires you to allow location tracking. That was not my experience. It DOES bring you to a page to enable access to your mic and your camera and then there IS a button for location tracking. BUT, when you click on it you are presented with the usual three options of Always On, Allow While Using App, and Never. I choose Never and it still seems to work just fine.
I would second the request for the app to recall your last settings.
Also, I would find it more useful if I could choose 2 of the forward facing cameras, like Double Take allows, rather than having one forward and one selfie cam.

cool app, i own a few røde mics so i am psyched about thenintegration, and great to see a split cam alternative to the DoubleTake app. it should remember the previous settings including resolution, frame rate, split screen view / lens selection etc

So much potential
The best part of this app is that you can control the gain and other parts of the sound quality of the mic that you use attached to your phone. Based on the audio I would give it a better rating.
Unfortunately the camera is very noisy at all levels and I tried to delete and reinstall the app to no avail. The zoom on the camera is not great either. The other unfortunate part is my videos are basically unwatchable because I decided to use this app.

Ehh Alright Until…
Works alright until your phone goes to sleep. Then the mic is disconnected even after closing the app unplugging the mic and attempting to restart everything. No sound levels and no idea if it’s recording sound.
So good for one run but if you stop recording and let your phone go to sleep…good luck!

Works Great
Not sure why all the negative reviews. Connected to the wireless go II as I have the correct cables. Perhaps a future firmware will allow it to connect wirelessly but I’m not gonna hate. The location argument is overrated and overplayed. You’re being tracked by someone. What’s Rode going to do. Wipe your phone clean or blackmail you?

Good but not great
All this app needs is the ability to lock the frame rate all camera apps that are aero use can do this. Please add rode I will use this over other apps 🤗

Promising but buggy
With Filmic having gone the way of subscription, this is a welcome contender :~)
I appreciate the simplicity of the interface but it is missing some features that would make this an easy replacement for Filmic.
• exposure lock
• exposure meters / zebra’s
• zoom rocker
• audio monitoring w/ Rode iXY (even with latency)
The interface is cut off on an iPhone 13 Pro but i imagine this is a bug that will be worked out in time.

Location…? Really?
I’m sure it’s a fine app, but I wouldn’t know because it wouldn’t let me actually use it without enabling location tracking, so I uninstalled. Come on, Røde…It’s a camera!! Camera and microphone access make perfect sense, but why must I turn on location tracking to record video…? Silly choice imo.

I love anything Røde! But can’t use app.
I got so excited when I saw this app! But my bubble burst as soon as I connected my Wireless Go and it’s not compatible with it. MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!
