Description

Radiation City

Welcome to the world of Radiation City where a great survival adventure awaits you!

Forty years after the unfortunate accident of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, destiny brings you to the area of carefully recreated city of Pripyat. Uncover the amazing story, untangle the mystery and try to save your loved one.

This is not an easy task. It’s a huge open world area filled with dangers and anomalies. Hungry predators and sub-human creatures, they all want a piece of you. The elements, combined with radiation and unexplained phenomenon, make the lovely looking environment a place where you shouldn’t be. Yet, here you are.

Scavenge for resources inside any building and especially the landmarks of Pripyat: hotel Polissya, the cultural center, cinema Prometheus, the swimming pool and all the abandoned flat buildings. Craft and choose your gear wisely. Discover and use the campsites for safely passing the nights. Equipment, weapons and the vehicles you may find and use are your only friends.

Good luck!

Bobcat918,
Just needs a few tweaks
It's a good game and fans of Radiation Island will enjoy playing. It's has a sprawling map that offers days of play and good replay value. However, I agree with other reviewers that there are several gameplay and technical issues that can make it incredibly frustrating at times. Crafting is limited to only a few, non-critical items which requires you to stop progress on tasks and spend a huge amount of time gathering. Cars are now used as storage crates but the cars disappear off the map (even though their location is still shown on the map) at random taking all of your items with them. The largest backpack is super rare to find and holds 15 items. After food, multiple necessary water canteens and basic medical, there isn't much left for ammo and boosters. There are several items that you find with great frequency but after playing through twice, I still cannot determine a use for them at any point in the game. Until you level up quite a bit, walking is seriously slow going.

I greatly appreciate that the developers are trying to address our collective issues and have already pushed an update based on our concerns. With a fix for the disappearing cars and some of the graphic glitches, it will easily be worth the cost.

Lol RIP Vehicle
Like a lot of others, I played Rad Island. This one has been fun. The zombies at the military bases might need to be toned down due to you exit a building to store gear in a vehicle and come back and the door shut or locks sometimes and the mobs respawns. The vehicle disappeared in the game but on the map and mini map it shows it still there. I've got a lot of supply and ammo packed in the vehicle and would like to see it back. It seemed to of disappeared when I logged out for the first time. I haven't walked all the way back to where I got it yet to see if it despawned back to its home point yet, but the map shows it outside where I'm at. I do miss the crafting house and loot chests from the first game but I understand. To those having problems with storage look for different grades of clothes. Military tends to allow more storage on you person. Another tip going into UI setting and move your move some stuff around such as spread your movement arrow slightly more apart helps on smaller devices an such. The UI is customizable so try it out a bit.

*Update. Thank you for the response it currently the vehicle has not reappeared after patch. Do I need to just start over?
Curtis1983,
Awesome graphics but
Update Sept. 5
Gave it another try. Stranded by my tent, with wolves hanging about. I cannot do a thing without being attacked over and over. Horribly balanced. I can say I rocked radiation island and love that game! Spent many many hours on it and felt it was balanced quite well. I just can't figure this one out. The graphics are awesome, but I seem to find everything but freaking weapons (not including pointless sticks)...as long as wolves aren't around. I feel justified in rating this, given the prior rad game was one I mastered. Seriously. I feel I wasted a few bucks on this. Sorry. Just being honest.

I love radiation island. I have logged some serious game time in that sucker and now just run around shooting up the place. This new one has amazing graphics. A few things I noticed is weapons are freaking tough to come by after being killed multiple times and random sticks are worthless against everything. Walking sideways is super super slow and clunky and I like to do that to keep an eye out on distant zombies while moving . I don't know how else to put it. The destinations while sometimes far are easy on foot, I feel I can never be adequately prepared for a zombie to attack me, depleting all the bandages and medicines I needed. I wish you could hold more from the get go. This has great potential but aside from graphics, island is tons better.

Instant Buy!
I've only played like an hour into this game but I played the first one (Radiation Island, if you didn't know) but I never got to far in it since a lot of people complained of a game breaker bug later on in the game. Now it's been fixed, I think, so if you haven't tried it then I definitely recommend it first. Now, back to this game; the graphics seem a bit blurry although people say the graphics are top notch (maybe it's cuz I'm playing on an iPhone 6?) but it doesn't matter though because it's still an outstanding game. The zombies behave in a realistic manner, the animals... well I haven't run into them yet, except for wolves (got attacked in a house by them, yep, in a house, they just busted in through the door) so I don't really know what to say about those. I've heard that your inventory and your cars can get wiped out because of a save issue or bug, and I'm scared it'll happen to me which is another reason I haven't played much. Over all though, it's a fun time waster and if you're a fan of survival type games, then I recommend you try it out. Smell y'all later and good job developers!
Radiation Island was the bomb by the way, Awesome job!

.
I was and still am a huge fan of radiation island. So naturally when I saw this new city one I couldn't wait to try it. For the game being in the beginning stages it's a pretty good for the price of it. I love that things are more detailed then island, there much more area to roam, and so much more places to explore and scavenge. Some cons I've noticed are that there are no storage containers so I'm forced to find multiple vehicles and keep them in one area. I've also had glitches while driving long distances. The vehicle will get stuck in driving mode and I won't be able to stop it until it crashes. And idk if it's just me and I can't find a way, but I haven't been able to save my game. So I'll play for a little bit and then leave the app and when I go in it hasn't saved from the last time I've played. Gets a little annoying when you get to a certain point and then have to do it all over again. Overall for how early in the stages it is, it's pretty good. Hopefully they work out the little glitches they've had in future updates.
J--Bird67,
Fixed the car bug !
"Radiation City" is absolutely gorgeous. A must have. Personally I myself, haven't had any problems finding guns and ammunition for them. All you really need to do is explore, explore, explore!!! Especially inside the larger buildings. Amazing, expertly crafted HUGE game world with plenty to explore and do. Once you find some weapons and ammo, you will need somewhere else to keep them because you have a very small and limited inventory space, even with the military backpack. So you can find a vehicle and use the trunk to store all of your valuables. E.g weapons, ammo, medical supplies and food. Don't forget, if you find any fuel cans, KEEP them. You're going to be needing to refuel your car or jeep. And now you can leave it there without worrying about the vehicle or the supplies inside it. The developers have squashed the disappearing vehicle bug. Way to go devs!
Thank You Thank You Thank You !
I've played it to the end and now I'm using god mode to just run around exploring. WOW! Nice work on the game world. This has quickly become one of the best gaming experiences available on the iPhone• PERIOD
I can get some satisfaction,
It’s good but not as good as radiation island
So I’m writing this review I was exited there would be a sequel? To radiation island and was exited to go have an amazing adventure through a radiated city full of monsters. Instead I got disappointment the graphic was better but the crafting and the looting isn’t really fun in radiation is you have these outposts that are small and dangerous that had multiple way to invade and it was highly nuclear so you can’t hide inside of it when you were in a pinch and gas masks pills etc was pretty expensive and so it had this pretty cool high risk high reward mechanic. But in this game these anti radiation items were pretty common also the military outposts are too big and too less enemy’s I guess it makes a pretty cool stealth section in the beginning but the stealth isn’t even that good of you go close to the enemy it doesn’t matter if their facing the other way they will notice you so why didn’t you pack the place full with zombies so in the earlier stages it would be this intimidating force to be reckoned
And that’s a small peace of this laundry list of complaints I have for this game go play radiation island guys..
Flare9052,
Love but seems difficult
I love radiation island a lot due to the way it ran, the flexibility in crafting, the mobs didn't run except tho sword bearing captains and four legged running zombie people, and the many chests and main base you could store stuff at. Radiation city on the other hand is fun, but running speed is just awful, awkward to walk sideways, your crafting is limited and a lot of the items I gather just take up space, not enough storage space in a bag, you're dehydrated and hungry constantly lol, I can see where doing work would cause you to do that, however this isn't the case. Your car disappears with all your stuff if you stored it, and those zombies run and I mean so fast it's kinda hard to see them in time before they smack you till sun down, this is where walking sideways was going to be your best friend, this game sideways walking slows you down a lot. The user interface needs some work too. It doesn't pause the game when you need it to, and some random zombie attacks you while you are fixing some stuff and you die.
PurpleGamer716,
Love it but a possible bug report and one other thing
I love this game but just one bug that bugs the crap out of me

Sometimes I hear zombies hitting me but...there are no zombies hitting me it makes the hit sound and I don’t know we’re it’s coming from it just makes the hitting sound and it gets really annoying when u constantly hear a smack smack smack and I also hear a zombie sound in the background I don’t know if this is a bug or if it’s a zombie hitting my car since one time a zombie was hitting my car for I don’t know what reason it was doin that but if it is a bug can you fix it thanks

Also this is the best mobile game on here besides that one possible bug but other then that grate game love playin it really good story line but another thing the towers, it’s vary hard to find the thing to turn it off without bein killed by tough zombies also the Scientist zombie you know the one that shoots out the acid it kills you in 1 or 2 hits so if u could nerf that one zombie to be a bit weaker (but not to weak) that’d be great thanks for reading

A great game
As a fan of Radiation Island, this game was the improvement we were all waiting on.
Pros first:
-Fantastic map, very huge as well
-Less focus on crafting, which makes the game feel less grindy and more adventure-y, as well as difficult
-Stupid amount of buildings to loot, like I swear it would take a year to loot the entire city part of the map, because it seems as if every building is enterable, something that many games, even games like DayZ, fail at doing.
-Addition of cars, makes traveling not as difficult
-Spread of zombies, finally some in the wilderness, which is more like a zombie apocalypse
The list goes on and on, but I would like to address some of the cons of the game, or small problems I've seen.
-Cars randomly disappear sometimes, and from reading other reviews it seems to be a common bug, but I'm sure it's an easy fix
-The radiation suit guys who shoot the green blobs at you are incredibly powerful. I'm not saying it's an issue, but holy moley, maybe take down their power a notch or two, they can almost two shot me, even after some upgrades to my vitality
-Day/night cycle is a little funky, it will zoom to nighttime so fast, and then back to day. Maybe slowing this down would make it less jolting.

All in all, I rate this game 9.5/10, and I recommend it to anyone who liked Radiation Island.
