This what’s me and my teenagers here these great stories without waiting through long commercial breaks on the radio when we used to sit in the car just to hear these because it was the only place that got reception. Several times each story it backs up a few seconds and repeats but it is not completely unbearable. I don’t know if this is a flaw and maybe if fixed would be better but even my teenagers don’t complain. I’m just glad that myself and my children are able to even hear these gems from an era gone bye.

What a fantastic find! I first heard it over a year ago when it was played at the end of my local radio air time, I had never heard “old time radio “ before. I am a 74 yr by old woman who has listened to radio at night since the early 60’s. Thank you for having this radio station with such history of America on in an entertaining manner while I listen before going to sleep. More people should know about RadioSpirits statiion…..When Radio Was!! Thank you again.

No customer service support
Thus is the most obscure site I’ve ever tried to contact for help! I have a current, fully paid app account but have not been able to access my programs because of a glitch that continually takes me to sign in screen. This has been happening the last two months and I stupidly re-subscribed. But today I cancelled my subscription through the AppStore because I can’t get any support from RadioSpirits. All my other apps work great on my iPhone 11 which has the latest updated version. I’ve tried turning phone off and on. Nothing! I called and talked with someone on the website but they told me it’s a selling of products only site not a technical support. What’s a person got to do to get some help?

Love the content, hate the app!
Just cancelled my subscription because of issues with the app. I like binging a show but the app won’t let you do it even though there’s a play all option. I was just listening to Suspense and had to pause for a moment. When I tried to resume playback, the app reloaded and all the Suspense episodes that I was listening to were gone and different ones loaded. I’ve had this happen time after time and it’s annoying. Sometimes three episodes of a series will load and then it may be 20. There’s no way to continue listening without this annoyance.

Great content, outdated app...
Love Radio Spirits and Wen Radio Was, their content is great. The app however is a very different story. It has not kept up with iOS updates, the current version is over three years old. It is in dire need of an update. It's so bad that it will no longer run on my my iPad or iPhone. When I try to open the app it instantly crashes.
Other issues of concern are the aggressive ads on the app that frequently hijack your phone to take you to the App Store to buy the app they're peddling. If you can get the app to work and stream a program it will frequently stop in the middle of a program, temporarily pause, and then back up a few seconds and continue the stream.
I hope Radio Spirits will address these issues and update the app. It used to be so enjoyable.

Great quality, LOTS of issues
I’ve been a subscriber for about a year and while I love the quality of the broadcasts, the technical issues with the app are becoming too frequent. The app will get locked into a reloading mode to the point that I’ve had to shut down my iPhone, uninstall and reinstall the app…and the situation continues. Nearly always when searching for a list of episodes of Dragnet, for example, the search will reveal ZERO results; click the back arrow, repeat search and SOMETIMES results are populated. But not always. Just searched for Johnny Dollar tonight and after the episode list was populated on my THIRD try, the inventory only displayed episodes up to 1950. WILL YOU PLEASE FIX THE APP?!!!!!!!!!

Goes away for IOS 11, Try OTR Streamer
Loved this when it first came out. I even went to Radio Spirits website and left a comment asking them to update this to IOS 11 before it no longer runs.
Fortunately, I found OTR Streamer which lets you pick from thousands of radio shows by Genre and Title. Also has option to download show so you can listen offline.
There is a 99 cent up charge to be able to have multiple downloaded shows which is very convenient for trips and multi part shows like Yours Truly Johnny Dollar.

I love the content of this app, purchased a one year subscription. The app itself has some issues. When one program ends, and I click on the next one I want to hear, the app closes out and I have to reopen it and find my place again. If I am listening to a series, say gunsmoke, it won’t automatically go to the next episode. Very hard to stream in the car or while I’m running when I have to keep reopening the app. I deal with the app because I do really enjoy the content. Thank you.

Great content; terrible app
Let’s face it: the radio shows played via this app are great. I don’t have any problem with the content. I do have a tremendous problem with the ad network this app uses because there’s always an ad that launches the App Store and brings up an app that I don’t care about. I always have to dismiss it in order to get back to the Radio Spirits app so I can see how much time is left, or to skip forward/backwards in the program.
If the makers of this app ever update it, I have one request: how about a 15 or 30 second skip forward and backward, similar to Apple’s podcast app?

Love the content. Constant app freezing
I bought the app to stream in my car while driving. I consistently run into an issue where the app will not play the selected program. If it does play a program it often Will crash when you try to listen to the next program. I love the content and paid for a one year subscription but if this is not resolved soon I will cancel and ask for my money back. I really hope they were able to fix the app to run more smoothly and reliably.
