Addicting but frustrating
This game is pretty cool, but there are a few things I wish the developers would address. First, the computers start with 2 jokers (jokers, not wilds) 90% of the time, allowing them to almost always go down first. Seriously, it’s weird. I’ve gotten maybe 3 jokers total, ever, yet somehow computer 3 has 2+ almost every game. Next, and more importantly, I wish there was a way to turn off double tap to discard. No matter how careful I am, I seem to always accidentally discard cards that I really need. I play on my iPad. I ALWAYS drag and never use double tap, so I wish I could turn it off. My final issue with the computers is that they’re computers and clearly counting cards the entire time in a way humans are not capable of. I wish instead of them being 100% perfect players all day they were more human-like. My computer partner always sits on amazing hands to try and get a special hand. Sure maybe it’s statistically the best chance of “winning” the round but that doesn’t help when the other team ends up with 4000+ points.
And one more thing! I would love a joint subscription option for this game and mahjong. I don’t have time to play either enough to pay $14 a month but $8 or something would be awesome:

Computer wins 90% of the time
I love playing Real Canasta, but there are real frustrations. First, how is it possible to have the dumbest computer partner? This partner throws out cards that are so obvious that will allow the other team to pick the pack!
The other problem is the hands that are dealt. I get the worst hands 90% of the time, and the computer opponent is always going down with Jokers and/or seems to have the meld total within a hand or two.
The computer wins the game even when I am 3000 points ahead going in to the round!
It is very difficult to get a special hand, yet the computer seems to get them frequently.
I wish these complaints could be addressed.

Glitches
I am frustrated with the number of glitches on the site! I love the game, but the computer almost always wins, gets special hands, etc.. I sometimes am unable to open the game, for example right ow, which prompted me to write this. I’m getting a bright, white screen…..nothing more. I love playing the game, but……I paid for a year’s subscription, and I feel they should fix the GLITCHES! Please!!!

I want another robo partner
I have the dumbest robo dummy possible. How can we choose another one? This dummy seems to want to help us lose. It throws out cards that are obviously going to be picked up by the opponent. I am so frustrated I am about to cancel my subscription. Another complaint is the opponent always seems to have the ability to lay meld immediately after I do, or most of the time has the correct amount of wild cards and runs to go down immediately. I feel so frustrated every time I play canasta on line because I am positive the odds are set against the real player. Give us some options!!!!!

Very good canasta app
Works well and allows you to play with only the computer or with others. Different speeds available. Easy to access acceptable special hands in the lower right options. Occasionally the screen freezes, but restarts without losing the game in progress when you go to settings and reset it. Overall very good learning tool.
a glitch - please fix,
A problem using the app
One of the nice features when playing the game on my browser is that I can tap the discard pile and easily see the last three cards that were thrown. Unable to view last 3 discards when using the app. UPDATE: the glitch occurs when using the app on the iPhone. It is not a problem when using the app on the iPad. PLEASE LET US KNOW WHEN IT IS FIXED.

The BEST canasta app!!!
This is by far the best canasta app available - no bugs so far, completely random decks, smart AI, easy and intuitive touch screen utilization, flexible partner arrangement, and ability to play with partner against the computer. And even better, quick response to emails from a real person (Ronnie)! Highly recommend!

Problem with continue of play after first hand is played
After the first hand is played, it freezes and does not you go on to the next round. Have to go out of app and then start a new game and it happens again.

Cards not dealt randomly
No matter what you say you KNOW the cards are not dealt fairly. The other side almost always gets better cards, be it 3s or more jokers and wild cards, or multiples of some cards while i sit with only pairs of cards or, no wilds etc. when i can see right off the bat that the hand is way lopsided, i just quit and start over and often shut quit playing the game. Its not fun when its not fair.

Real Canasta Computer is like a cheater!!
I have canceled my subscription to this app because there is nothing random about it. Not only does the computer almost alway deal impossible cards but the computer partner is inept. More than once the computer partner sat on cards (7’s) instead of melding to help the real person playing.
