Matthew Mason13,
The Best so far!
I’ve jumped around to various Reddit apps such as the default Reddit App, Apollo, Narwal, and Slide. I eventually kept with Slide because I loved the interface, but sadly the developer has since abandoned the project and overtime it’s been getting buggy. I knew eventually I would have to find another app.

In search of a new ship to swim to as Slide slowly sinks into the abyss, I found RedPlanet. From the moment I logged into the app, I could tell this app was for me. Images and videos load nearly instant and videos have super responsive controls. Reddit pages, favorite subs, and custom feeds are laid out in the side bar in a way that just makes sense. And the developer is super active with the community and pushes out continual improvements.

Highly recommend!
QuinellaAdmin,
My jaw literally dropped
My jaw literally dropped when I seen the feature that automatically creates an Imgur link for you to post images in the comments, also the way you can preview your comments, such a goated app. Two features I would add though is a reader mode in the built in browser and having the profile pics/avatars show up in the comments! Other than that it’s pretty much THE perfect Reddit app, forget about Apollo and it’s outdated design language (no offense to the developer but it’s just my opinion)
Vuxxii,
Summary
Love this app so far, but here is two tips which would dramatically make the experience better and if there was a chance of me going back to vanilla Reddit it’d be because these aren’t present.

1-Search results are very bad. Searching the same term on Reddit vanilla app vs ReddPlanet shows you where ReddPlanet weakness come. Searching is only good if you’re looking for subreddits or users. Otherwise the search tab is simply useless and would rarely bring up interesting relevant results. Also the amount repeated posts that will show is absolutely unimaginable.

2-Home page refreshing doesn’t generate new posts, but shows the same posts. In vanilla Reddit after I’ve gone a long way down I would go back up and refresh and I’d have new content to look at. This isn’t present as of now in this app. Refreshing doesn’t generate any new content, but shows the same content. The only way to refresh content is to change the posts type you’re looking at and that doesn’t generate good posts at all and isn’t a fix one bit.

I hope these issues presented would get fixed as they’re the only ones I’ve found worth mentioning.
jamaicaj,
A sleeper hit!
Been using Apollo and the stock Reddit for awhile now and have been vacillating between other Reddit clients.

Was browsing the App Store tonight and noticed ReddPlanet. I have to say the app is clean!! I also have to give props because it is the first app that has loaded all my favorites without me having to manually select them all. Bravo!!

The only thing missing for me is when clicking links from messages would be to open the app automatically instead of taking me to the ugly webpage.
aperson,
Closest you can get to Boost, best iOS Reddit client
people on iOS always praise Apollo but it's simply lackluster if you are used to any feature-rich client. Yep, I'm referring to Boost. Apollo may be a good "iOS" app but it's not a good Reddit app. And that's why ReddPlanet, while being relatively new, is the best iOS reddit client to date. Plus, the developer is super responsive to suggestions, constantly working on it to add new necessary features that other clients lack. I can see it become the most popular iOS reddit client in no time.
.johnny5,
PLEASE ADD KEYBOARD SUPPORT
First off for those looking at this app = Get it. This is an awesome app the dev works very hard on and is totally worth it.

Now for my gripes: Rocking the new multi-column version and like it, but the glaring omission is the ability to arrow key UP or Down the article is annoying. Another awesome update would be to not link-out everything in column one… clicking on a article and instead getting a user or subreddit in also annoying. My third ask would to add a suggestion link in the settings of the app to sent rants like this :)
ScadManFL,
Fantastic App
Finally, I have a new daily driver Reddit app. Beautifully designed, the developer engaged in his community by taking suggestions and implementing them. I love the new Pro version being a one-time fee and not subscription-based like most apps and locking out features on the free version. The new community-based themes library is a nice touch. How far this app has come from its launch is genuinely impressive and easily deserves its future success.
,
9/10 replacement for Boost for Reddit - its great
Super simple user experience, you can turn off ads for free, and the pro version isnt pushed at all! (Which is why im buying it, ironically enough)

My only gripe so far is that you can’t downlod videos, and that the comments are separate from the posts, not underneath like in some other apps. Luckily the dev is super active in the app’s subreddit, and he is apparantly working on this :)

Would reccomend this app over all the others ive tried, including Apollo, bacon reader, slide etc etc.
u/AirIsBreathable,
Best client
Tried Apollo for a bit but didn’t really like how it look. Then I tried Slide which was much better but got abandoned by the developer. Saw Redditors say this app was very similar and I like this one better. Only things I hope get added is being able to search in saved posts like in Apollo and being able to see saved comments. More people need to try this app.
Tone25000,
Just missing one BIG thing
Many comparisons to Apollo. So far it’s a worthy foe in my opinion. But it’s missing one thing Apollo has. All these gifs that have sound/audio that the original Reddit app can’t play that Apollo can (and play right within the app as an embedded player). That’s a big deal. Add this feature and you can take Apollo down. Right now it’s just like Reddit where the video plays with no audio. Until this is added I’ll be primarily using Apollo till then.
