James Irion,
Simply a must-have
Syntaxity,

Since finally trying Blackthorn Castle last year, I was thoroughly impressed by the lack of glitches, smoothe gameplay with a functional and easy to use User Interface, explorative setting locations, challenging yet not too difficult to beat, quality graphics, realistic style, sound effects and music as well as the adventurous nature of these games. One after the other, I tried each game and delightfully found the same satisfaction in all (current) six.

Then, you released your bountiful update for the Lost Ship, which was originally much too short. Now seeing the pattern of adding similar updates and extra content, in order of original release, I eagerly await more to be released.

If I had to describe these games, in as few words, I would say they are honestly must-haves and instant buys for this genre. If a new game were to be released, I would buy it as soon as I found out about it. Having them all up to now is not enough because they are so satisfying. But there's more.

I discovered an interesting alternative to their replay value. Sure once you play them you might get tired. I liked Blackthorn so much I kept replaying it, but with an unexpected challenge I put to myself. Memory. I've repeatedly played them several times each as a way to stregthen my memory

So, I look forward to each new game/additional content Syntaxity releases. To be honest, you couldn’t release add-on or new game content fast enough.

Thank you.
Kroz Hog,
Decent Puzzler
I like the Syntaxity apps. While they’re not at the level of the Room series or the House of DaVinci Games (with their immersive rendered environments), they all are a decent way to pass a few hours, using your brain. The puzzles in Rescue the Enchanter are occasionally clever, but aren’t exceedingly difficult, and even the most challenging have a solution clue hidden somewhere.

The map in this game is quite large, and if you haven’t paid to upgrade to the “Fast Map” functionality, it can get tedious porting clues/items back and forth across the four game areas. Also, if you’re looking for puzzles to solve and not so much storytelling, this game will suit, as there are plenty of puzzles. My only caveat would be to look closely at the walls and floors in every new area you discover, since clues are sometimes hidden in dark wall patches, or behind mismatched wall/floor materials. Just knowing that going in can save you some frustrating “what now?” moments.

Overall, this is a solid, fun puzzler. If you haven’t tried Syntaxity apps, and you just want to try one, I might start with Enchanted Worlds, and then Blackthorne Castle, both of which I think are slightly more challenging than Rescue.
Bethsodas,
Overall a pretty great point and click style adventure game
I think it can work for a wide range of people. It's not incredibly complicated or difficult but has enough to make it still pretty fun for a point and click adventure game. I like the option to skip some of the mini games if they are driving you nuts or happen to be something you aren't good at. I also like that the built in hints generally just help you figure out which place to go back to instead of telling you what to do. At a certain point the game map gets so big that even if you get an item you identify as something you can use somewhere but you might not know the exact screen and would end up spending tons of time just trying it - hence why the hints and the map feature are pretty useful. My only recommendation to the developers would be to make it so you can get a different hint if you are having difficulties with the one as the game is - ib ways - non-linear as you can do different things at different times. Overall though, I like it, and as long as the games like this from them stay around the $3ish mark and last this long I will definitely buy again.
Revmat,
Point, tap, find, repeat
It’s a good game for what it is. You know what you’re getting if you’ve been playing the other apps in this series with your adventurer of an uncle. Like most of these apps, make sure your screen resolution is high; plenty of things to miss in the shadows. If you need to do these quick, sure, pay for the hints. The price for the quick traveler’s location is nothing, so it’s worth it to speed the game along, but if you don’t want to spend money, you can solve the puzzles and take the long and repetitive route.

I’m not knocking the app. It’s a great app for entry level into this genre of gaming and there’s just enough story line to keep things interesting, without getting too cheesy.
Colorful Curt,
Lost in a desert of clues
The game was a cerebral challenge for sure. Some hints had to be played because the puzzle had no instructions as to how to interact with it. Case in point. How do you know to put the Chinese lanterns in the order they are hung on the hooks? If you took the number of lanterns and multiplied that by the number of possible combinations to get the chains to drop to the right lengths in order to release the last figurine, it would take five to the power of five to get the combination right. You have to play the hint to get the order correct. A simple note to the player, such as “ hang as received” tells the player that the lanterns are to be placed on the hooks, in the same order as they were gathered. You could tell them, Rainbow sequenced. Then the player would have to know what colors are in what sequence in a naturally occurring rainbow in order to correctly place them on the hooks. Hang a rainbow vertically by a hook. Same idea.
Domrep7,
Simply Amazing!
I used to quit these type of adventure games early on or middle of the game because the puzzles did not make any sense, did not have any logic and therefore were very hard to solve causing you to give up. But this game in this game riders are amazing I just enough level of difficulty to challenge you but not to discourage you all the puzzles. all the puzzles are logical the graphic is good this sounds so great. This game is all around amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like to play it during different days and I look forward each day to play a little more and enjoy it. Good job I will get all of them
Keybordz,
4 stars for engagement but 5 for value
I was able to download this one for free and then was pleasantly surprised later on when it was upgraded to include the fast travel and hint options.

Not the most intricate or compelling storyline but it is cleanly designed with quality artwork and music.

I do have to say the ending frame did not quite line up with my expectations...could you at least have sprung for some sort of costume for the character which accurately reflected the fantastical or historical context of the story?

Brilliant
Gorgeously creative worlds....I found myself immersed in them. Game play is nice and long. The puzzles were not too challenging. Lots of running around..unless you pay extra for the quick map option...which is pinchy IMHO. We already paid for the game, we shouldn't have to pay extra for the quick map. The desert scene should've at least skipped over the tap, tap tapping. But basically, if you enjoy point and click games..you'll love this one. I felt it was worth the money.
pickwickpixie,
Nicely done.
This is a long circuitous one by these developers. But in a nice way. No glitches. Only thing is, every now and then, I’d get stuck trying to look for an object or clue to a puzzle that was very artfully concealed in a scene that I could have sworn had nothing more to reveal. I don’t like those hidden object sort of games so maybe that’s why it got to me. On the other hand, the scenes themselves along with the transportation, and the puzzles are all nicely done.

Good Game!
Rescue the Enchanter was a lot of fun. I found it easier to move around than the others and the puzzles were more challenging. However, the creators lust for money is a little daunting. I don’t mind paying for a game, especially one as good as this one. But I don’t think the “in app” purchases are fair. Why not just ask the price you want straight out. Your game is worth it. When it’s in bits and pieces, it seems greedy and slick - not a good look. With that said I already bought your next game so, I’m off to the next adventure. By the way, your graphics are awesome!
