TaraBytes23,
Wow
I have tried many music apps in all forms. I began teaching myself piano almost a year ago, though I learned the staff pretty quickly and the common knowledge of the keys, I have struggled with the rhythm and beat. This app is INCREDIBLE, after I post this, I am going to look for a donation spot. It will be the first time I have ever given money to developers, and my reviews on google have thousands, tens of thousands of reviews. This app has SO MANY features. It took me two days to realize there was such a large menu if you click the tiny i in the bottom left corner (iPad pro) and even without me knowing of all the other options it still held my attention and even became a personal mission to pass the rhythms. Its super hard, for me. Practice. Practice. Practice. The TAPPING option is insanely hard for me. Thats exciting though. Some thing I 100 percent can not do, yet.. so it gives me something to work on! Thanks y'all. You did a fantastic job on this app! Please update whenever you add something new!

Super Fan!
SaphiraRaven,
BUY THIS!
I am a piano teacher and just found this app. All my students are loving it so far and enjoying going through the levels. Which is great because suddenly what used to be homework is now fun! Did you hear that? Fun! Would recommend this for anyone. The only thing I would suggest is the menu system maybe having a revamp as the first opening to to select “fixed levels” or “random levels”. I’d love to start at level 0 for some of my kids and I feel like sometimes it would be hard to explain to them how to get to the ‘random levels’ and would be easier.

Overall 5/5 app for how amazing everything runs and even though I teach piano, this is a hard app at some of the higher levels! A must have app.
sorry4ever,
Old And New
It’s now 2022 and much has changed.
I now have a new device and I have not been using this app. In fact, I had forgotten all about it. That is, until I happened to come across it while I was looking at my Rhyme-zone app. I might just try it out again, since I have just learned that it has been updated all along. I’m actually very surprised about that, but happy to see it.

Previous Review (a long time ago):
Helpful and fun to use. The little, round, white circle at the bottom is where to go to find out how it works - look under Support for details. I was confused about note values and how to play them on the piano keyboard. This app helps a lot and is user friendly. There are lots of settings, exercises and progress reports. I am enjoying it and I'm glad I purchased it. I am using this app with the iPad 2. Thanks so much for the app!
Dagazheart,
Fantastic well thought out app
I am actually learning how to stay on beat (not ahead or behind!) and read rhythm thanks to this app. These were both major goals for me as a relatively new bass player. Thank you to the developer for all the time you’ve clearly put into this app.

There are incredibly extensive exercises in every time signature imaginable. I love being able to quickly adjust metronome setting and choose between being tested or just practicing, both of which offer different supporting sounds. Visual feedback is superb. I like that I can stay at any level of challenge for as long as I want.

I highly recommend this app!
luke gilf,
Perfect for me
I am 49 years old and went to music school. Decided to study jazz piano more seriously in my ‘old age’. I had never been great at reading so I am using computers to gain experience quickly. This app is perfect. I stuck it on random exercises and have not looked back. I am on level 6 of 4/4and feel so much better and confident about rhythms. It just keeps throwing new exercises at me and the beauty is I have it set so I have to sight read it 3 times correctly before it says I got it. This is exactly what I was looking for. You can start from the very basics like I did. I can’t think of a better or faster way to learn to read rhythms.
mostlyadreamer,
Everything you could want in a rhythm app
Wow I’m so grateful for this app. I have struggled with rhythm a lot in my musical journey — mostly when sight reading sheet music and trying to play with other musicians. I just never took the time to clap/count while playing and always learned rhythm by listening to recordings.

This app helps you practice with various pre-made exercises and you can even create your own custom exercises. I used it to practice the rhythm of a Bossa Nova song I was working on. There are so many customizations that you can really practice in any way you want and get instant feedback on your accuracy. I haven’t explored all the settings yet.

Best of all is there is no reoccurring subscription fee like most apps like this nowadays.

Now is the user interface super slick and clean? No, but it’s intuitive enough that you find what you’re looking for pretty easily.

A huge thank you to the developer! I’m finally learning how to count properly.

Exceptional
You can benefit from this trainer in a day, but you can work on it for years and still get dividends. Thoughtfully assembled. Endlessly varied. There are so many options for unique challenges, you can start the massive book a second or third time with a different focus, and benefit all over again. Frequently updated and improved. Once I had a glitch with a new phone, the developer found a way to fix my problem in a day. Love this app!

And Free
This thing is the latest miracle in my life. Never progressed far enough in my formal training to get good at reading, always felt like math class. Suddenly I’m in a JC concert band and in deep trouble. This is going to save me. The ability to edit your own rhythms allows to create those 2 measures that eluding you and repeat them until you hear them in your dreams. Thanks so much to developers of this amazing tool!
えみや えいじ,
Excellent app for figuring out rhythms!
I was skeptical at first if this is will serve my needs. Anyway, I took the plunge and found out it doesn’t have 12/8 time. I emailed the developer and he was really quick to respond to my questions and provided me a 12/8 template. Now I’m happy. My favorite part of this app is being able to modify the builtin rhythm exercises to match the music piece I am currently working on. This app really helps a lot. Now on to practice ;-)
B-radical productions,
I use this app often!
I’ve been using this app to practice different saved rhythms for more than a year now. I’ll use it before a gig to tighten up my feel, and it really does make a difference to use this app as a warm up.
Often, I’ll go through different rhythms and continue to test until I perfect it. This has made a dramatic improvement on my sense of timing and rhythm while playing!
