Love RiiffTrax but the app needs help PLEASE!
My family and I have been watching you guys for years as MST3K and RiffTrax. When we stumbled upon the jokes to sync with our movies OMG we kids in a candy store. Our kids couldn’t wait to listen to you Riff their movies. The issue is that the app does not allow for syncing through any Bluetooth device. Is there a reason that you may know of? We tried quite literally every single Bluetooth speaker in our home and then even tried to do it the old fashion way and bypass with plugging in an aux cord but alas nope. The app will not play any sound unless it’s directly from the phone. It would be great if this feature could be fixed/updated so the Riffs could be heard for one and all.

Some Rough Spots But Still a Gem
This is one of the most underrated apps in the App Store. It may not be perfect interface-wise but syncing the riffs is a perfect use case for the tech. Also, the content is good and incredibly cheap. A few dollars to turn an otherwise unwatchable movie into a good comedy? Count me in. I think Apple should feature it.
Re-reading my own review I realize this actually sounds like a fake review! So let me just say this: watch the movie 300 with the rifftrax going. You will 100% agree that it is the definitive version of this movie. There aren’t many apps that possess the ability to utterly transform and elevate the quality of what is already considered premium content. That’s why I think Apple should promote it..

Needs Bluetooth Usage Now
The idea for this genius, really made the process of syncing the audio to movies easy. Major flaw though is it doesn't hook up through Bluetooth and Apple has taken away the audio port... and nobody wants to listen to the riffs on a crappy phone speaker. Look, if you love laughing definitely buy this track, but you'll have to listen from a speaker sitting right by you. I did find a work around by using an iPad (which still had a 3.5mm jack) and connected a speaker to it, playing the app from it. Please update this so it works with any blue tooth or even with my Bluetooth ear buds (so I can listen to it while watching retro movies in the theater, like I used to do).

Totally love Rifftrax and am enjoying this app. Now for the "however."
Unfortunately (or fortunately) many movies do not start with dialogue. No one would enjoy movies if they all began with a 30 second or more narration. It would be nice if the app could just start playing the track and use its microphone to improve the synchronization. A little note above the play button stating to press when the WB or Paramount logo fades would be enough to get the user on track.
Also, when using my phone, sometimes the joke track just stops and it takes me a bit to realize that it's stopped working. Even a little ding or sound effect to alert me the track has paused would be nice if the random pausing can't be helped.
I hope my input is helpful to others using the app and the developers as they release patches. Thanks for all your efforts!

I have enjoyed a RiffTrax since 2008. So, when I saw this app last week, I had to download it especially to try out the microphone syncing. Well, being the new year, I got $10 to spend from RiffTrax. So, through the app, I purchase a riff I don’t have. Well, alas, it’s not quite obvious that the app uses iTunes account to purchase even though I was signed into my RiffTrax account. I’ll have to chalk this up to my own stupidity but it would have been nice to know at least like with in app purchases like some apps prominently display in the app description or to at least give you a choice.

Will not play through Bluetooth headphones
It breaks my heart to remove this from my phone. I was so excited to use this app. I hadn’t purchased a “just the jokes” in many years since the desktop app stopped working on my computer and now I find out this app exists just to be disappointed that the app will not play through my Bluetooth headphones(which are standard now for iPhones). I get the impression this is a known issue and been that way for a while. Sad to think they haven’t completely redone the app to allow this support. Guess I will hold off on making any more rifftrax purchases. 😞

Good app but Bluetooth isn't working
Was lining up a favorite, Kevin and Weird Al doing Jurassic Park, but I wanted to listen to the Riff via my Bluetooth speaker and each time I opened the app my Bluetooth connection stopped working. When I closed the app the test music I had been streaming started back up on the speaker. I didn't see a setting to say allow Bluetooth.
Otherwise the sync generally works and it really does make watching Riffs a delight.

Not Worth It
The way this goes for me is that I spend 5 bucks on a track, and have to synch every 10 minutes. I’m sure other people have better experiences, but personally, I think that if it is going to be this buggy, it should be free. If it is not going to be free (which makes sense for what the product is supposed to offer) then it should not have such infuriating issues. Honestly, it would be better off if it was simply a recording that you had to manually synch. Pressing play simultaneously would be easier to design, and have less room for error.

There are three tracks that come with the app. One of them is the sixth sense. It can’t sync with that until a few minutes in, which makes you miss whatever jokes are in the credits sequence.
Otherwise I have spent about 20 minutes trying to get it to sync with The Avengers at all with no luck. It’s not a noisy environment. The only sounds coming through this room are my breath and The Avengers.

Missing 2 Critical Things
This app is great but is missing two critical features that make it sometimes annoying to use.
1st syncing appears to be the only way to play a riff track. This is a shame for movies where there is little dialogue in them. Let me sync or at least start from the beginning.
2nd. Please support Apple play or Bluetooth. It’s a shame I have a great wireless speaker right next to me and I can’t use it.
