Description
A family of treasure hunters hears the news that an ancient ruin has been uncovered. They creep into the ruins, where they are certain they'll discover some wonderful treasures.
But in the end, will they be successful in their hunt for the treasure?

'Grinsia' is a fantasy RPG, with a quest involving twin Goddesses, and six pieces of treasure. The main characters are a family of treasure hunters, and they are joined by a wide range of other characters.

In 'Grinsia', you can choose your allies from a wide range of characters.
When the number of characters passes a certain point, you can choose which of your allies to take with you by going to a tavern in one of the towns or villages.
Each character reacts differently to each event, so by changing the members of your party, you can play the game again and again, enjoying the different reactions of the members.
In the main story, there are characters who won't become allies, too.
Journey across the world, in search of allies!

As time passes, the game changes between day and night. The appearance of towns and open land, and the way the game progresses, differ between day and night.
- Supports high-quality graphics
The beautiful graphics support high-resolution screens.

- Selectable controls
You can choose from two types of game control, to make the game as comfortable to play as possible. The options are touch control, and a virtual cursor pad control.
- 'Treasure accessory' system
The treasure you gain has special powers, and can be used during battle. When you use a piece of treasure as an accessory, you become able to use 'EX Skills'.

Glad to have this game.
I grew up on this style of game. I love 'em. And I constantly look for them. At this day and age, they are scarce! Great to see people still making them. This game is fun. Great way to waste time. I hate to see the reviews of people saying. "great game, must have, fun!" and then give it 1 star, duh? Only things I don't like about game is the menu sensitivity, when trying to scroll window you end up selecting instead of scrolling. Also the pyramid is too aggregating to be fun.

I thought this was a great game!
Just finished the game. Great story and game play. I got many, many hours of play out of it and enjoyed it. Not too much grinding. Enemies came at a good rate, not too much to be annoying, but enough that you don't have to grind.

I usually love games by this maker. Not this one. Can't find anything good to say about this game.

Fetch Quests with Cliches
Grinsia basically covers several tropes you've seen in other games (evil empire, goddesses with magical items like Zelda's triforce, etc.). If you can tolerate the cliches, you'll find a competent game here; unfortunately, when you start collecting the 6 treasures, the game bombards you with dull fetch quests. At least the porter system limits backtracking by letting you teleport to places you already visited. Auto-winning against scrub monsters is a nice idea too; it just plays the victory music and shows the experience you get when you become too strong for monsters in an area.
The only other problem I have is that the menu could've had better controls; a quick exit button rather than backtrack out every step. Also, you can accidentally choose an item since you swipe to scroll, but at least you have a confirmation so you can decline before buying/using items. I also think steal should either be free or cost 1 mp rather than 5 since it's too expensive in the beginning of the game for my healer to use more than once per battle; in other games, steal is generally free since you give up a turn to get an item. I wouldn't recommend this game since other average rpg's on the app store don't put the main game on hold with having to do mundane things and backtrack (if an area didn't have a porter, it can be tiresome).

Great Oldschool RPG - Read this if you're having issues
I figured out how to fix the issues int he game if you're having problems read this. You _Must_ enable open feint. The reason the game lags and crashes constantly is it tries to access your open feint details all the time, so if you don't enable it, it will be anywhere from 5-10 minutes before the memory leak hits an extreme point and crashes your app or even your device!
I enabled open feint and have had zero problems since. I don't think the developers intended that you must enable open feint to play the game, but they must have not tested what happens if you don't. Hopefully they fix this soon, I'll post an updated review once I clear all the aspects of the game.

The UI is great! Old school charm.
So many RPGs on iOS are bad ports of console or pc games. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the UI is very touch friendly, and the graphics are good even in 2x mode on my tablet. This is an old school rpg but it has modern responsiveness and you can tell the developers took care to make it appear nice on all devices. It doesnt break much new ground, but just the fact that it actually runs well on my tablet is a wonder - so many other RPGs run at a too fast clock speed or the translation is poor. With this game it doesn't have those problems. Old school charm done right on ios!

Good JRPG
Great tried-and-true jrpg gameplay, balanced well and of good length. It has a few issues that keep it from perfection, however. There are maybe too many battles and too much between-battle upkeep. The map graphics are tough to get used to, and the controls are a bit touchy. The story's major pitfall is lack of foreshadowing the main conflict. But don't let those issues detract from what is still a very good game.

Another great Kotobuki title! Must GET!
Once again kotobuki puts on sale another old style RPG game, but modernized in fantastic ways. Easy to pick up, a good story and characters, and of course great gameplay. From the fest game I tried being Symphony of Eternity I was hooked! Then Fantasy Chronicles once again another fantastic game! This title just makes me love the developer more.
A must get for the price! Certainly will not be disappointed if your a fan of RPG games.

Yet another great title
I have to agree with the previous review, everything they mentioned perfectly describes this game. That being said, if you've played previous Kotobuki Solution games, you should know, by now, they publish only good/great games for Western audiences. I always look forward to every game they publish.

Trying to like
When you try to click the like button after you say yes for the special prize at the target range it says error then when you try to say yes again it closes the app. Have tried several times to do this. I have the ipod touch 4 gen 32 gig
