23 and Me says I've a bit of Irish in me but not enough to account for my love of the place. I’ve never been there but I’ve two Irish friends that planted something of it in me that just won’t stop growing and is turning my very flesh into this place I love. That flesh, unlike that of my friends, has never even seen the USA and, also unlike my friends, one from Belfast and the other Dublin, knows no division. Your programming is intimate and friendly and is seeded with bits of information I can get no where else. And, though I have yet to decipher it’s meaning, it warms me to hear my native language. It’s good to hear it honored. Ye have the gift of me heart and me ear, no mistakin’.

I have been listening to RTÉ for several years, appreciating the variety of music available (mostly on Lyric) and the announcers who select and introduce it and comment upon it. I have been introduced to music I would never have otherwise heard but which have become favorites. The recent redesign is quite good, easy to navigate, especially among the various RTÉ channels, and within each one. The information about the currently-playing music is most welcome (especially ‘through the night’, but all of them). Really quite well done and welcome. Thanks for a reliable listening expereience. I now live in California, and don’t get home as often as I’d like. This app let’s me in on everything going on at home. My 86 year old sister, who lives in Glanmire and I share comments on some shows. We bemoan the antics of some of the characters on Fair City, and both love Ryan Tubridy. Thanks again for making this expat very happy in my old age.

RTE is my daily go-to since discovering it during my last trip to Ireland in 2018. So much so that I barely listen to my other big name music streaming services, unless it is to follow up on all of the great music I discover listening to RTE. The variety and depth of the music paired with the wit, knowledge, and civility of the presenters make RTE a must for this music lover. And the accents never get old!

I am of the second generation of Irish family to be born in America. RTÉ keeps me feeling more connected wether listening to 1 or to Raidió na Gaeltachta to always keep my tongue in check. I am ever grateful for the work of RTÉ. The newest update has put it at another level. I love being able to see what is playing.

Perhaps it’s my phone, but the old Radio 1 App loaded faster and would transfer seamlessly to my car. With this new App, I have to wait and wait for it to load or change between radio stations, which seams to help speed up the process. I do like the new look, but some podcasts like Mooney goes Wild have been relegated to clips, which is disappointing. Overall, I love listening to RTÉ, it’s my home away from home while living in the USA.

I emigrated to the US from Ireland in the early 90s & never thought I could listen to live Irish radio again. But lo & behold, the Internet kicked off in the late 90s and all that changed. It’s great to listen to Morning Ireland on playback, and Saturday (and Sunday) Sport on the weekends, even if my native Westmeath don’t fare too well in the GAA. But the fact I can keep in touch with all the goings on back home is great.

The best quality music of any global radio station. Hup Cathal Murray, Philip King, Folk on One, Mise freisin, Marty in the Morning, literally everything on lyric, John Creedon….. the Saturday and Sunday morning schedule. Special mention to the shipping forecast - so calming. Love RTE radio and the app makes it very accessible to those of us abroad. Maith sibh!

The interface is much nicer, and I like the Way sections of each program are easily. The bigger pictures for the shows is better. The new layout means I don’t click into the radio one website by accident, which is a real pain. No I just for the RTÉ TV player to be overhauled bugs are still present, but are few and far between.

I live for part of the year in USA and just love Lyric . I listen to it whenever I can …. Especially Marty he’s like having a long time friend in the room . I can tune in anytime . The standard of programs are far superior to anything you can here innUSA
