Tired of Hearthstone? Check out Runestrike!
Runestrike has been a fun and refreshing experience. I’ve played Hearthstone (many years), Legends of Runeterra and Eternal. Runestrike has elements of all these games but really shines with the various Champions and mana & blood resource system. The separate abilities used with the blood resource adds a layer of strategy and decision making that is different for each Champion. I like the Mythology theme, the artwork is great and the game looks good overall, the animations could be a little more polished. if you have played other card games it is easy enough to pick up. Some may not like having to invest the time to earn the currency to acquire all the different champions if you are free to play and want to “collect” everything. This game doesn’t have the crazy RNG of Hearthstone, the mana & land issues of Eternal & Magic nor does it have the turn phase interruption strategies of Runeterra. The Champion concept is similar to Runeterra but the variety of 3 different abilities gives the player more choices that can add depth to your strategy. The reward system feels generous so far and I would compare it similar to Runeterra. Games like Eternal, Magic and Hearthstone are tough to stay free to play competitively. If you are tired of the games I mentioned in this review then I recommend giving Runestrike a chance.

Loving it so far!
I started playing Eternium in the fall and figured I’d check out RuneStrike when I got the notification.
I’m a complete newb to this type of game, but the prologue helped me learn the basics and I’m seemingly addicted. At this point the options seem almost limitless, but, as I said, I just started playing. I haven't tried the pvp arena yet (tho did play against AI), but will when I feel more comfortable.
One small thing I’ve noticed (and I could be missing this functionality or doing something wrong) — it would be nice if I could duplicate a deck and make adjustments from there vs always having to start from scratch. It’s my understanding there are deck styles and complexities far beyond my understanding, but as a beginner, there have been times I want to keep most of a deck, but make adjustments (for instance when encountering a new play style and learning how best to adapt).

Changing my review
The later levels are absolutely ridiculous. I get it’s supposed to be challenging but it gets straight up silly. You are begging for one card out of your entire deck to deal with the monstrous “free” effects the enemy player has and you just get gang banged over and over again. I want a challenge not a thorough stomping 20 times in a row from a guy that can summon free 1/4 cavalry every turn. Or the dragon guy that blows up all non dragon minions every 5 turns. Or the noble guy that steals your spells and gives you a peon. Yes I beat them both but only because I had to play every soldier and every dragon card I had respectively AND buy a fighter that could actually cast those spells. I’m interested in playing MY deck not catering to some weird arms tied behind my back situation we’re you have to reinvent your deck every level. It’s a shame I like it until it started to be change your deck out each time, and even then you are fighting an uphill battle. No thanks. I gave up on the free every turn cavalry summoning guy. Yeah you can say I couldn’t hack it, but if that’s what’s up I’ll gladly bow outta this one. It’s just not fun. Well here’s a suggestion… the sun champion is too difficult. 10 damage from him each turn? Come on now. AND you have to deal with him killing your creatures en mass about every 5 turns. So lame.

So far so good
I’ve played this for a couple weeks and so far I like it. It’s got it’s challenges like everything. Card packs seem a little high but I just finished the preseason so I’m not sure how it will go from here. Ability to craft cards is excellent … have played to much Arena yet. As it’s a new game we will see how it grows. As of now it doesn’t seem very p2w because all cards can be crafted. Strategy does actually figure in which I really do like. I’ve played other card games where the better cards are more prominent for wins. In this so far, is appears well balanced. Again the pvp arena will say for sure. Looking forward to it

Quickly Hit A Wall
Downloaded three days ago. Beat both campaigns on hardest difficulty despite blatantly cheating computer opponents without spending a dime. Now, there is little to nothing to do. I ranked up to Gold easily enough but going further than that I simply need more cards. There’s no reliable or non tedious way to get gold or any progression towards more cards. Solo arena is only available every two days unless, you guessed it, you pay. 10 points of progress on your pass and zero gold per ranked win is an absolute joke. It takes TEN WINS just to get to the next pass level, which often just gives you 100 shards or a pack containing literally ONE CARD. It’s ultra tedious. Once you’ve cleared both campaigns and have gone as far as you can go in ranked without access to more cards you have two options- pony up cash or stop playing. I’m opting for the latter.

A lot wrong !!!
First of all I can not contact this company through its generic forum. There are way to many over powered opponents for instance Guardian angel can restore 10 health with only 2 blood and has so many minion cards that resurrect or gain health for them or master. I spent 10$ on this game because I hit a wall on hard mode because I liked the game before it got to hard mode and the fact I realized I can’t play the regular ai to earn anything without paying emeralds or waiting a long time . Opponents are not matched by any skill rating with so few players you go up against people who have nice decks all though I was able to bring down a really good deck with a free deck with the skills I used however there is so many over powered cards bosses and the lack of support it’s making this game not very enjoyable as I intended it to be when I spent 10$ plus tax if the host of this game can contact me fix a lot of issues i will gladly change my review

Review
I think this game is pretty cool but there are few things missing for eg. when I rotate my phone the game is still fixed in one direction. When I put my charger in I feel comfortable when I rotate my phone but if I do that I’ll have to play upside down which makes no sense. Please fix that so the screen rotates with the phone. Another thing. I don’t mind paying for my packs and what not but can you please put in something like daily and weekly challenges that offer gold or other bonuses? It would be a big help for others who want to get into the game if there is some system like that integrated into it. Overall the game mechanics and graphics is pretty cool. I’m enjoying it and hope to see what Runestrike has to offer in the near future.

Captivating Ccg
I was skeptical at first but through game play this game is put together very well. Between the artwork and being very Free to play friendly this is a game worth checking out and giving this game a chance. It doesn’t push you to have to spend money, it allows you the choice to verse players or the AI system. Overall a very solid game and I will continue to support this game as long as it keeps with this overall system. Hopefully as time goes on it will grow and be around for a very long time. Thank developers for putting in the amazing effort of creating such a beautifully constructed game.

Excellent game with lots of possibilities for strategy
With ~6 class of monsters/cards that can be accumulated and more than a dozen unique heroes each capable of playing 2 classes of cards, there are lots of possibilities for strategy. Also, each hero has three unique abilities that compliment the heroes cards. The game is addictive and refreshing even after months of play because new cards are acquired regularly with play. A new hero also allows a completely new set of monsters with new strategies. I hope more players will join this excellent game so PVP can be more instantaneous. Cheers.

Fun, Addictive, and Challenging!
I truly love this game! It’s so much fun trying to beat each unique computer deck. Each turn forces you to consider many different outcomes and play your cards in the best possible order. Winning games and getting new cards gives you a strong feeling of progress and confidence! Even losing is fun because it makes you reconsider using certain cards or even quickly building an entirely new deck of only 24 cards to defeat a particular opponent. Great fun!
