Big update! Here's what's new:

Radio:
- More radio stations! The "Recent" section of "For You" is now "Radio." Here, you can view featured stations, your recently listened stations, and browse radio stations by genre. Sathorn is the only 3rd party Apple Music app that allows you to browse Apple Music Radio by genre!
- You can also love, dislike, and share radio stations. To do so, simply long-press on a station and a menu will appear
- You can make the Radio section show your "Loved" radio stations at the top of your stations list. To enable this, go to Settings -> Radio -> Show Loved and choose "Yes"

Now Playing:
- There are now 4 types of Now Playing screens: solid, light blur, deep bur, and dark blur.
- If you choose "solid", then the Now Playing background will be whatever theme you have set (for example, it will be white for light mode, very dark grey for dark mode, and black for true black mode)
- Choosing light/deep/dark blur will make the Now Playing background a blurred version of the album artwork
- Light blur is less intense and permits less color to show through the blur
- Deep blur is more intense and allows more color to show through the blur
- Dark blur is similar to deep blur, just with a tint of black

Lyrics!
- In order to use the lyrics functionality, you will need to download the MusixMatch app from the App Store.
- The lyrics are still visible from within Sathorn (you do not have to leave Sathorn to be able to view them, but the app must be installed)
- To view a song's lyrics, long-press on the album cover to bring up the song menu, and choose "Lyrics". A menu will appear, press "more" and then select "MusixMatch"
- This will open a lyrics screen to view the song's lyrics

- New scrub bar on the Now Playing screen! It looks much more modern

benedict gray,
Just a few things
I absolutely love the UI here, and I’ve been looking for a decent music player with queue functionality for ages so this one was a no brainer. I just wish the settings menu was more accessible since the only way to access it (that I know of) is in the songs tab. I like to fiddle around with colors and themes a lot so this is a minor annoyance to me, but I doubt others have much of a problem with it. Also the touch+drag areas to rearrange the menus are nearly invisible on dark and true black mode.
archer_jay,
Great start but definitely rough around the edges
Pros: -I can sort by liked songs(!)
-Customizable interface with true black
-still gives me access to all my Apple Music recommendations while putting more focus on my existing library

Cons:-ui navigation is kind of a screaming nightmare. Sometimes you can swipe back, sometimes you can’t. Sometimes you can long press a song, sometimes you can’t. A lot of areas you swipe to access but can’t swipe out.

It’s really in-cohesive and coming from the default Apple Music player it’s really, really cumbersome.

-sometimes elements look really great, sometimes the aesthetics make it look like the app is bugging out.

-adding songs to ‘play next’ has the tendency to stop or restart the song currently playing. This one is a MASSIVE pain, though one I would consider equal to the others noted above.

-you can’t add songs to play next if you search for them- just goes along with the other noted inconsistencies in how you can interact with different things.

-lack of consistent ui navigation leads me to constantly play songs I didn’t mean to because I was trying to do a gesture that’s intuitive in Apple apps but just does nothing in this app. (Example: if you open an album and scroll down you cannot swipe back. You have to scroll all the way to the top to swipe back.)

Overall I’m sticking with it and hoping it gets cleaned up because, if tightened up, this could be the best way to use Apple Music.
Hub.Bat,
Overall very good/missing minor quality of life features
The app so far is beautiful and functional. The pinned albums feature is one of the best features I never knew I wanted, as well as the ability to jump straight to a song's album from the Now Playing screen.

The app is missing some minor features compared to other players that I wish it had, such as:

- The ability for the rewind playback button in the Now Playing view to replay the same song rather than immediately go to the previous song

- Displaying seperate "discs" inside of an album would also be a plus

- The ability to skip increments of the song by double tapping the rewind/forward buttons

Overall though, Sathorn is a beautifully designed app with plenty of customization options to satisfy most people.
Daniel3345,
Great app needs improvements
Holding down a song for more options should have a haptic response. In the original music app that force feedback helps me know whether my input was received without looking at my phone.

Also please add the ability to start Apple Music radio stations.
1909800309438,
A lot of improvement since v.1 , keep going !!
A lot of features added and improved
- playback
- now playing screen
- lyrics display by mixmatch
———————-
Basic function that i like
- easy access ;)
- dark mode
- customized theme color

Looks simple but really usable!
mr.blue.sky,
Ratchet 🤮
Do not trade your stock Apple Music app for this insane knock off. ITS NOT WORTH IT JUST TO GET THAT SWEET DARK MODE. I promise.

Immediately off the back it’s exponentially slower to load and scroll compared to the stock app. Crashes often. Worries it’s inconsistencies will corrupt my Apple Music account, which could lead to deleted playlists and music. That’s about the worst thing a Music app can do besides not playing music at all.
Mycloud1234,
Good, Needs Work
Great start of an app!

Pros:
- Adjustable theme and true black
- In depth stats if you swipe down
- Easy to add songs to playlists
- Resume right where I left off in either music app (Sathorn uses the native player)

Cons:
- Song navigation (changing time in songs) sometimes triggers a swipe left or right and changes the song instead.
- No lyrics support
- Settings menu is hidden well
- Album art custom covers aren’t synced like they are on other services
jonnyyoyo,
I want to like it...
But it keeps asking me to sign into my Apple account. Annoying. More importantly, the lock screen widget only allows you to like or dislike tracks? No playlist control?
sudoditto,
Very nice
Love all the UI customization features and simple layout
Yoshiyahu262,
Ugh
If this app worked as it is supposed to it would be a great app. But it crashes a lot and it is unresponsive. I got so annoyed at it I deleted it soon after installing.
