1.10.0
2019-09-16
Release Version 1.10

- A new settings menu has been introduced. It can be found by pressing the settings gear icon in the top left corner. Examples of this are changing the exposure and gain settings on the IR camera, to better adjust to different lighting conditions in your scans.
- Some UI elements have been shifted or resized to better fit in iPhone layouts.- Some UI buttons have been given updated graphics. We hope you like our new icons!
- We have also introduced the concept of sensor depth stream presets. These presets are a work-in-progress, but should provide better depth coverage when doing body-scanning or scanning outdoors. Select these options (i.e. Default, Body-Scanning, Outdoors) from the settings gear in the top left corner of the app.
- A new calibration overlay has been added to the Scanner sample that provides better instructions for calibrating when approximate calibrations are not available, e.g. when using custom iPhone cases.
- A bug has been fixed where backgrounding the app or receiving a notification could crash the app.
1.9.1
2019-03-20
Version 1.9.1

- Now with approximate default calibration for 2018 iPad Pro devices, allowing quick usage prior to running Calibrator.
- Fixed a bug on iPhone devices where calibration overlay would not disappear even after calibrating.
- Fixed a bug where OCC files would be written to the app documents directory after every scan.
1.9
2019-02-06
Version 1.9:
• Now optimized for newer (post-2017) devices, especially improved texture to mesh alignment, and when scanning without having performed calibration.
• Additionally, the Scanner Sample App has been optimized to work better on iPhone-family devices, specifically the UI layout has been fixed to show messages that were sometimes offscreen.
• Supports higher color resolutions for mesh texturing on newer (post-2017) devices when using the “High Resolution Color” setting.
• Fixed a race condition in the Scanner Sample App where the calibration overlay would pop up even if you have already run through Calibrator.
• Fixed a bug where some UI elements would no longer be interactive after the Structure Sensor is disconnected and reconnected.
• Fixed a bug where toggling high-resolution color would crash the app on certain (post-2017) devices.
• Fixed a bug where keyframes would sometimes never be added, causing a message “Please hold the device still while we collect a keyframe” to indefinitely overlay the scan.
• Developed on top of Structure SDK 0.9
1.6.2
2017-01-03
• This update fixes an issue where first-time streaming could fail under certain circumstances.
• Built with Structure SDK 0.6.2.
1.6.1
2016-11-03

- The bounding box is now at the center of the color image instead of the depth frame.
- Now based on the new Structure SDK 0.6.1.
- iSense devices are now re-enabled.
1.6
2016-06-25
Now with faster reconstruction and improved model resolution and accuracy.

This version produces 60% more resolution in each XYZ axis at the same speed, or a ~2.3x speed improvement, at the same resolution as the last version.

Built with Structure SDK 0.6. Visit structure.io/developers to create your own Structure SDK app.

Pb1223453838339,
Does not work
It no longer captures clear image data, it's not complete and tries to fill in the lost area poorly.
Nirhighttothemoon,
it's better if share with airdrop.
Email only may not so convenient on some case.
Don't Get the Mark II,
Cannot Recommend
If you are planning on getting the mark II for this app, Don’t do it. The mark II structure sensor just doesn’t work. Tried on multiple devices and it just doesn’t hold a charge. Looking at their return policy, once you open the product you can’t return it. Basically I am stuck with a $400 door stop.
Share47,
Mk II
1) Show Stopper - sensor frequently doesn’t connect / flaky
2) Show Stopper - when there is a iOS battery warning, the app stops scanning and all scanned date is lost. Horrible!
3) Battery life seems to be extremely low - and no way to charge the sensor while scanning

Other issues:
1) no way to keep the images to later texture after fixing holes or modifying the mesh! Could be so much better!
2) doesn’t have a texture resolution setting - for example what if we want a 16K texture. Should have an option to use full 12MP on each photo! Quality thrown away...
simondr40,
Doesn’t work
I just purchased a mark 2 sensor. The calibration was successful. However, I can’t get the scan to work. The sensor and the iPad are fully charged but when I open the app and press the stop button, nothing happens.I also can’t find any place to get support from occipital
Unhappy sasquatch,
App doesn't even load anymore
This worked well enough on my phone a few app releases ago, but now the app crashes immediately after opening, even with restarting. iPhone 7. Shouldn't be an issue.
AAYoungtimer,
I kinda love it
I have the Structure Sensor and this app is by far the best and easiest to use. I would say that ItSeez3D is still better for capturing human faces, I use Scanner for just about everything else.

This app is intuitive to use, the box shape in the middle is the scanning area, and it responds well to resizing to capture small or large objects. This app does capture color data, unlike some others. This color data appears seamlessly on your Sketchfab site and in Meshlab. I still have some trouble getting the color data into Maya.

I hope they keep refining the app.
S/V Inspirare,
Still 100% broken on newer iPhones
This app requires the Calibrator app and that still freezes at the 1st step, “Detecting lens” :(
No response from support in several months.
MyName1111110,
Doesn't work, because it's not supposed to.
I was exited to read that they had doubled the resolution of this ABSOLUTELY MEDIOCRE PRODUCT, but not surprisingly after "updating" the app, it no longer works. After a quick Google search my suspicions were confirmed: this software no longer works because I purchased the "iSense" version of the Structure scanner. This was an intentional move from the creators of the scanner to punish users who bought this IDENTICAL product through 3D Systems (who also completely abandoned their customers). It's very telling that the makers of the Structure scanner decided to go this route even though they have already profited from a licensing deal that was in place at the time I purchased this $500 door stop. But then, this product was always a piece of garbage. Anyone actually interested in quality scans should check out Photoscan by Agisoft.
Vukster,
Good work
And needs support like the iPad for color and texture detail. I'm not buying an iPad just for this feature. Also it would be great to get higher detail scan data. Currently the models are good but lose a lot of detail once captured. Best size for capture is busts or faces from the shoulder up. Anything smaller will not work and anything bigger will be too low resolution. Hopefully in the future there will be a way to acquire high, mid and low frequency detail. Needs normal maps support.
