It’s pretty bad. It a waste of money if I’m gonna be honest. but it does have potential. If someone tweaked it some more it could be amazing. You can’t play fast at all but you can change the tempo when you edit it. You have to play RREEAALLYY slow for it to barely catch the notes you’re playing. and you can’t play left and right hand on piano. It’s pretty difficult. Again you can edit all the mistakes it makes but it’s pretty complicated. I really don’t think you should get this app. you’re not missing out on anything I swear. any 5star review on this app just makes it sound better than it actually is. Spend that $2.99 on a nice beer or something.

The simple tool I was looking for …
Playing for my worship team at church, we cycle through a lot of songs. Playing guitar, while it’s obviously more about the worship, there’s all those little intros and riffs that I would like to remember. Because I don’t play music full-time, and even the songs that often, it’s always like relearning it again each time. Since I read music, now I can play the intro or riff, and now have those few bars stored for a very quick and easy reference … next time the song comes up in the rotation, it minimizes all of that relearning again. obviously, I think it will be helpful for my own composition and playing around, but I was more specifically looking for a tool to store a library of simple melodies and riffs. I think this might be it finally!

Great for drafting!!
Begin with the end in mind... What do you want out of an app? This will not create a perfect score the first time you throw your voice into it, but it is excellent for brainstorming that first draft of your piece! Like others have said, it’s not yet fully able to capture chords from my guitar, but it is great at single-tone sound capture (i.e., maybe use “la” when intonating melodies). My issue in the past has always been forgetting the melody or progression of tunes that come to my cranium. So tragically frustrating when I can’t remember a great tune I had while driving or just living life, for example. So (for me at least), this is fantastic for getting that creative/catchy tune down on some kind of sheet. This is huge!

Don’t Trust The Doubters
I was extremely hesitant at buying this app because of the prior ratings, but I went with my instinct to get it anyway. When I tried out the app for the first time, it did an amazing job. As anything, it was not perfect, with some different notes and wrong rhythms, but it was nothing that could not be fixed. I recommend singing your song clearly on “la” instead of with lyrics and add them in at the end. It may take a few tries, but the first ones can be deleted. Get this app!!!!!

Horrible
Don’t waste your money. I tried every setting and played notes, then tried playing chords and not once did it identify a chord correctly on playback. It misses in between notes, skips to notes I didn’t even play. After paying the 2.99, it then tells me I’m limited to 10 songs unless I want to start paying 1.99 a month for premium. Why would I want to spend more money on something that doesn’t work. I would sincerely like my money back, if the developer even bothers to read these. If not, I will write a review online as well and refer this to the appropriate people. Thanks for listening.

Doesn’t Deliver
I was really excited about trying this, however, it cannot recognize chords, you have to play super slowly (one note at a time), and cannot notate tempo or chord changes. I am surprised this had such a great rating in an article I read. I tried a quite a few times but it never wrote anything close to what I was actually playing. Plus, it has limited instruments. No acoustic guitar or ukulele available.
If you’re looking for a program that write sheet music while you play, keep looking. This one was a great idea, but the reality makes it a waste of even $3.

Good for Writing Melodies in Your Head
If you’re playing an instrument, I can definitely see hardships, especially a chordal one. For me though, this helps with getting a melody that’s in my head onto my instruments because I’ve been having so much trouble with my wavering internal pitch. Speeds up that process very quickly and has taught me a lot to maybe not need it eventually along the way. Definitely a good training wheel for pitch minded ears.

Actually guys, this is a great app! A life saver for me.. Most of the times I don’t have time to write down my songs that I created. This is so easy to use and if you use it slow it will work. I don’t know what you guys are talking about! It is not a professional app “yet” but if someone continues to work on this app it will be perfect. Continue to work on this app guys! Good job and 5 stars from me!

It Works Kinda Well
This app does pretty much what it says it does. All the time? No, a lot of times it gets the transcription wrong but some quick edits fix everything up. Very good with rhythms but notes it can get wrong. (Hint...when notes are wrong they’re usually flat).
This is great for classical and jazz composers. It would be great if one could export as PDF, MIDI and whatever file Sibelius and Finale use. That would be great!

I read these reviews after I downloaded the app. I thought this app would be horrible. Creating an account was incredibly easy and the notes were surprisingly very accurate. I give this a 5 for an amazing job! But it.. You won't regret it!
