Great app
It could use a couple of improvements, though. To facilitate self tapes, it would be nice if you could tap anywhere on the screen to have the app read the next line, instead of having to find the right key to press. Also there’s one small bug in learning mode where if you set it to only display your lines after you say them, the last line is never displayed.

I don't know what was going on.
So I downloaded this app in the first place because I needed something to help me memorize my lines, and I saw that it was free. The first problem I encountered was the script. It would be much easier if you could take a photo of the page with your lines and then it could be copied into text on your device. I ended up having to type everything out because I don't know how to download a pdf and it would be nice to have a tutorial or other options that don't require using 2 hours of your time typing lines into an app that was supposed to be convenient and helpful. Then after all of that happened and I was finally finished typing, it wasn't reading the right lines I had adjusted on the settings and nothing I had set was working properly. Finally, I just ended up giving up and now I am writing this terrible review. I advise anyone reading this to not use this app if you are looking for something simple and quick to help memorize your lines. Thank you for your time, and I hope this will be fixed for future users.

Confusing layout for users and a little creepy?
When I imported the pdf of my script, I was really impressed with how the app organized lines by character so quickly. A really great app if you like to read your lines for practice and don’t like the hassle of highlighting. However! The digital voices installed in the app are incredibly creepy-to the point of being distracting, and not just because they’re robotic. Cuz I think maybe people recorded the syllables or something initially???? Also. The “tutorials” were not very helpful. General use of the app was difficult because of this. Information on WHERE to click to access voice settings/other info was really unclear, as well as how to record your own? I may consider purchasing the Pro upgrade, but my concerns with the current model of the app I have are enough that I don’t think the pro version will be much better. 🤷♀️

Really helpful great little app
This is a truly helpful, great little app! Takes a bit of time to get everything tweaked and formatted on the front end, but once it’s in place it’s really excellent, incredibly helpful in getting off book. The tools for editing are pretty simple to use, the user interface is pretty smooth. I imported the script as a PDF, it’s an older script so I definitely had to go through line by line and edit a bit. But I would’ve had to do that anyway because we had made cuts to the play. Regardless once the work of editing is done, This is an invaluable resource.

Fantastic app for learning lines
This app has been a lifesaver for learning lines. It is easy to use and customizable to your learning styles. Even better, the customer support team is outstanding and very responsive. I’ve reported a couple of bugs myself that were addressed immediately. The pro version is very much worth the investment if you do any sort of acting on a regular basis. 5 stars!

300 + Lines LEARNED!!!!
I downloaded this app when I got cast as Dad in Cheaper By The Dozen. I’m not sure I would have been able to learn all my lines in time without this app. I really appreciate the ability to record myself for my own lines. The PDF import function works well and is a real time saver if you can get a soft copy of your script. You can edit lines in the app as well. This is the best free, no “in app purchases” app I’ve ever found.

Glitches
Although it’s fairly easy to get started by adding a script, there have been continual glitches (daily) that have wasted hours of practice time. Today the glitch is that instead of reading lines, I hear the setting “prosody, grandma…”. Often it just stops right in the middle of rehearsal. Starting and stopping sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Very inconsistent. The latest IOS update has only made things worse. Now, just when I need it most, it isn’t working at all.

Great for these kinds of learners
Loved the app but I found out that, FOR ME, it’s not the best way of learning lines. Of course there are many people out there where they could learn a lot from this app! I did use it quite a few times and they helped pretty well! People could greatly benefit off of this app and it’s amazing, just not my preferred way of memorizing 😊 I enjoyed it very much though!

Script Rehearser
I found it to be very helpful in learning my lines for a virtual one act play presentation.
I would like to have a little more control over the voices. More speed control and a male and female voice I could change pitch or even accent where needed. Open that will come along some day. Glad my daughter introduced me to it and look forward to using it again.

Great concept
I love the concept and it looked promising, until I input my script and started and realized all the voices sound like Microsoft Sam circa 2005 - obnoxious, grating, and distracting. Without using those it doesn’t help me much but they’re actively distracting. Worse still, there’s no way to correct a pronunciation, so get ready to listen to everything get butchered! In-app help is generally bad; it’s only offered in little tool tips that don’t really explain how to do anything. Continuing my search!
