slbalt,
Good app, but not "private"
Users should note that Sermo is definitely NOT a "physician-only" network. Sermo makes money by selling subscriptions to outside entities (drugmakers, marketing firms, insurance companies, government agencies) who can read doctors' "private" conversations.

It's a handy, informative, and often fun app, but users should be aware of the *real* motives behind it.
SermoSux,
Don't waste your time
Spent so much time with support getting back access after being locked out, then needing to re-verify my credentials literally a week and a half after signing up. Why?? Their support is awful as well. Don't even bother downloading this garbage app, trust me
YourName123456,
Still Unusable
Needs a back button. Mobile website just as useless. Used to be a frequent user but not worth it for all the frustration. I guess company is too busy being a medical polling site to take my opinion. Hah!
punjabimd80,
In dire need of an update
As an avid user of Sermo, I have I say I'm completely disappointed in this app. The major issues are few but bad enough to merit a poor rating. First, I get frequent emails from Sermo highlighting interesting discussions in the forums. If I tap on the discussion in my iPhone email app, it automatically launches Sermo but then I always run into an authentication error and have to sign into the app. It then loses the link to the thread that I was interested in reading and I either have to find the discussion manually in the app or just give up and try to look it up next time I'm in front of my computer.

The other issue is that this app has not been updated since the iPhone 5 came out last year. This means that the app screen size is still small.

Sermo! Get your act together! Most of your physician users are tech-savvy and depend on their smartphones/iPhones to browse and review medical content. Shame on you for being such a large online community yet not addressing these annoying app issues!
Ebola100,
Fair App
The app is fairly good but Sermo itself has rapidly deteriorated. What used to be a network of physicians with varied opinions who could vigorously debate politics and opinion has, since the exit of its two co-founders, gone rapidly downhill. Though the clinical content is still pretty good, the rest of the site is now controlled by a group of cyber bullies who pummel those who disagree them with vitriol and, if anyone dares to answer in kind c/o to management that their feelings have been hurt and attempt to have those who disagree inactivated. Surprisingly, the group is supported by management and quite a few have been deactivated. The organization is a shadow of its former self but if you like it the app does a fair job.
UPDATE: The organization is literally on life support. No leadership, and anyone who objects to the present gang of bullies penchant for using ethic and homosexual slurs, such as "asshamster" is kicked off the site. They are considered a joke by most physicians.
SermoDoc,
Significant step backwards, don’t download
Awful update. They took away the ablility to look at new posts in all categories, and replaced it with a news feed so that Sermo can tell you what you want to see. I guess they don’t trust doctors to browse content on their own or something. Takes away a lot of the fun of the old app. Also, you have to start at the beginning of every thread and read through all the posts to get to the end. That’s a nightmare if you’re just looking for recent additions to long thread.
MusicIsMyAirplane,
Useful app for peer to peer questions
I enjoy this app's use for when I have a difficult case or a question related to a specialty that is not mine. I get pretty quick responses and most of them are good. I would recommend installing this and putting it next to Sanford Guide, epocrates, and prescribers letter.
Sholmo,
Finally!
I've been using the online version for over a year. This site has been a source for information, advice, support and humor. Like a huge med school reunion. I can't live without it, you won't be able to either.
Wonposet,
I didn't think I needed Sermo on my I-phone until I downloaded it.
I didn't think I needed Sermo on my I-phone until I downloaded it. Now I don't think I'll be able to do without it.

Now there's no need to turn on a computer to see the latest posts and comments on Sermo and to discuss them with colleagues.

This application may even help me lose weight! Now when I awaken at 3 AM, I will probably post more on Sermo rather than going to the kitchen to eat!

Thanks to this application Sermo will probably become even more addictive to physicians.
BrianBip2,
Wow!
This is a very clean and well designed app. The user interface is exquisite and not "busy" like other doc-forums. I'm impressed with the caliber of the work and am proud to return to Sermo after almost 10 years.
