SetMyCamera can be used as a field guide or teaching assistant. Animated graphics provide a visual learning guide while the ease of use allows for testing optional camera settings.
This version of SetMyCamera offers basic features to begin taking award winning photographs and can be upgraded for more advanced features.
Main Features of SetMyCamera:
Depth of field describes the region of the photo that will be in sharp focus. An animated graphic outlines the region in focus in addition to the hyperlocal region. Use of speed boosters, teleconverters, bellows, extension tubes and diopters are supported. Adjustments for photo print sizes or viewing distances are included as an advanced feature.
Reverse depth of field will determine optimal focus point and optimal aperture (f/stop) or lens focal length. Enter near and far in focus points and reverse depth of field finds the best lens focal length, aperture and focus distance. The animated graphic assists in visualizing the settings.
Angle of view information displayed with an animated graphic enables optimal lens selection for perfectly framed photos. Alternative options include reverse angle of view calculations. Great for determining subject photo dimensions, distance or lens choices.

Love it but…
Fantastic app. I have purchased several similar apps, all of which bugged me in more ways than one. Stumbled across this one and very glad I did. Great design. Easy to use and understand. Only fault is that it shows imperial measurements in feet and fractions of feet, while I think in feet and inches. That said, the three similar apps that I purchased all did the same thing. Go figure… Well, that's the point really isn't it, we don't want to go figure. Feet and inches please.

Last update broke it
v1.5.16 is completely broken on the original iPhone SE. Can’t tap except to change screens. Used to be good but now it’s unusable.

I couldn’t figure out how to get past entering my camera info. Just wanted me to post to Facebook.

Useful, but not when the pop ups keep asking you to upgrade.
I understand that "free" apps that can be upgraded via IAP have a place in the mobile app ecosystem. But this company should fire the developers that thought it was a good idea to continually pester the user to upgrade to the full version. If I say no thank you, leave a button under the settings menu for me if I change my mind. Could you just leave it at that?
I can hardly use the app as it is with all of the constant nag screens. I can't preview or time-trial the pro version, and there so many different cuts of functionality, all at different prices, that I'm not even sure if I didn't buy all of it (pro), that I'd still not be disappointed by having something I'm trying to use not be included in what I'd purchase.
So to make matters simple, I shall press and hold upon this icon, and then hit the X to delete this app. I'm done. It's a shame because you could have made this a great handy reference. But you didn't.
I can hardly use the app as it is with all of the constant nag screens. I can't preview or time-trial the pro version, and there so many different cuts of functionality, all at different prices, that I'm not even sure if I didn't buy all of it (pro), that I'd still not be disappointed by having something I'm trying to use not be included in what I'd purchase.
So to make matters simple, I shall press and hold upon this icon, and then hit the X to delete this app. I'm done. It's a shame because you could have made this a great handy reference. But you didn't.

Great customer service
After upgrading to iOS 8, I had a problem restoring SetMyCamera and my subsequent upgrade to the Pro version. I e-mailed support and had a reply with correct instructions on how to fix the problem in less than an hour on a Sunday!

While SetMyCamera does what it says, it's such an ugly looking and poorly laid out app that I have trouble knowing what to do next with it. Pieces and part all over the place and very random ads smack dab in the middle of everything, bullying you into buying the pro version, just to be rid of them. I'll have to pass. Which is a shame because once you get through all the mire....there are some useful tools in there....somewhere.

The Home screen is terrible.
The interface for this app is horrendous. The home screen looks like something a first year Visual Basic developer would throw together, not like an iOS app. I was especially amused that the ad on that page when I opened it was for getting a visual design degree. For an app with this limited functionality, an info page explaining the interface shouldn't be needed.
