Description

Simple Interval Timer (SIT) can be used for any kind of interval training, such as running, cycling, HIIT sessions (including Tabata method), stretching, etc.

SIT is exactly what you would expect. An interval timer, which is easy to set up and use. It features a nice plain design, with no unnecessary controls.

Adjust Number of Sets, Action and Break duration to your needs and you are ready to go!

On the iOS an extra switch control allows you to prevent the screen from dimming.

SIT remembers the last 5 configurations you have used. Swipe left across the Settings screen to switch to another configuration.

SIT can run in the background, while you are playing music, watching videos or doing anything else on your iOS device.

SIT Watch features the same simplicity as the iOS app while offering the same functionality, plus it will measure your heartbeat during the workout sessions. The recordings will be available in the Apple's Health app.

SIT Watch runs independently of the phone, so no need to have your phone around during your workouts (although you will need your phone during the very first time you launch SIT watch).

SIT lets you avoid any tedious set up and focus on your training!

Apple Watch companion app is just as simple as the SIT iOS app. Adjust the number of Sets, Action and Break duration to your needs and you are ready to go! The app will notify you with a single haptic at the beginning of each set, and with a double one at the beginning of each break.

You will only need your phone during the first time you run SIT watch, after that SIT Watch will run independently, so no need to have your phone around during your workout.

The SIT Watch remembers the last 5 configurations you have used. Swipe left across the Settings screen to switch to another configuration.

GREAT FOR KEGELS EXERCISES ‼️
I haven't read all reviews to see if anyone else uses the app for Kegels as I do, but I GOTTA say it's PERFECT for my needs! Kegels are exercises that both men and women can do to counter urinary incontinence by flexing pelvic floor muscles and the little sphincter muscle that keeps bladder from leaking. My urologist recommends at least 200 reps per day of alternately holding the muscle tight for 10 seconds and then relaxing for 2 seconds. (You can do these exercises and no one can see what you're doing 😂) THE GREATEST THING ABOUT THE APP IS THAT IT KEEPS MAKING AUDIBLE BEEPS EVEN WHILE YOU USE OTHER APPS‼️ I CAN READ/WRITE EMAIL, WATCH A VIDEO, SEND TEXTS, LISTEN TO MUSIC - ALL WHILE GETTING MY OBLIGATORY REPS DONE!! THIS MAKES MY USE OF TIME MUCH MORE EFFICIENT AND ENCOURAGES ME TO EXERCISE REGULARLY ‼️‼️‼️

Just what I needed!!!!
An online coach I follow suggested this app to me YEARS ago and I haven’t looked back nor tried to find another one. It’s free, efficient, and on point! I no longer have to worry about resetting my timer until I’m done with my set. The app allows rest period in between intervals and the beep is not annoying but still heard.

Highly recommend for your timing needs! 🤍

Good interval timer for iPhone
This interval timer works well with the iPhone both with or without headphones. Simple and easy to use. When I use it with Apple Watch it only has a vibration functionality in between sets. The IPhone has an audible beeping functionality that you can hear even if you have music playing in between sets. This is key as the vibration is not strong enough on the Watch when I’m running so I miss the intervals here and there which defeats the purpose.

Barely Passable
App has not been updated in ages, so the interface doesn’t work well with the latest OS. The sounds it makes are obnoxious and sadly not customizable. If I play music to an airplay device while using the timer, I lose the ability to adjust the timer volume. The Watch app also manages to disrupt the recording of exercises, so I have to use my phone for the timer and record my exercise with my watch, which shouldn’t be necessary. I have also observed that the timer function doesn’t even always keep accurate time: sometimes the interval is cut short.

I use this app every day!
I stretch every morning, and I found that so many apps with rep/set type timers were only geared towards weight lifting. This app is brilliant for me as I listen to spa music and stretch in the morning. It lets me know when to move on from one stretch to the next. Very, very easy to configure and simple and straightforward to use!

SIT is awesome!
Finally a free app that doesn't limit the number of times you can use the timer before you have to pay! Worked perfectly for the circuit I use for working out. It was so nice not to have to reset a timer between each exercise. The app also counts down the last three seconds so you know when to switch. Great app!

SimpleIntervalTimer is a fantastic free application for timing intervals. With well thought out rest and activity times and the ability to easily set up many different schedules, the app is perfect for anyone who wants to either do interval training, or simply measure the time for different fitness activities. Highly recommended!

Great for iPhone
This app is probably the best free, simple timer in the app store. I don't use it on an apple watch, so I can't speak on that functionality. But, if you're looking for a simple timer that you can customize the number of sets and the length of each, just download this app.

Good, Simple Interval Timer
This is just the sort of timer I was looking for. I like the repeat function, the changeable number of sets, and the break between each repeat. It would be nice if I could set the times in individual seconds instead of five seconds blocks, especially for the breaks. It’s nice to be able to have it on my watch so I don’t have to take my phone with me all the time.

Great timer for iPhone but not watch
Great interval timer! I like that the screen is green when it is “go time” and blue for the rest. My only complaint is that the vibration notification on Apple Watch is too light. I never feel it while I am running and doing interval training I wish it would beep in my headphones like the phone version does. It honestly makes the watch version pointless. If not for that, I would give it 5 stars!
