Great, simple app for many scanning purposes
1.6.1 restores an earlier feature really helps SiteScape be a great tool for landscape planning. SiteScape offers three scanning densities (how closely the scanned points are packed together). The restored “low” density makes landscape scanning quick, easy, and accurate.
I haven’t tried the integrated alignment tools yet, but even if you have to manually combine scans, multiple scans in the same session are all oriented and shifted consistently compared to each other. Even using third party tools, this makes it easy to merge point clouds.
Beyond the capabilities of the app, the developers have been beyond helpful when I ran into trouble. Despite my frustration, they were patient and walked me through the solution. Top notch customer service.

Free, high quality 3D point cloud capture
Recommend this app for easy, straightforward 3D point cloud capture using a newer iPhone or iPad that has built in LiDAR. It’s free - no scan limitations or annoying pop ups like some other apps I’ve tried. I can tweak the capture settings easily and increase the detail for small captures, or decrease the detail to scan larger areas. It’s fun to see the raw power of “reality capture” enabled by this app and my iPad! Make sure to check out the user group to see the cool things people are using it for, and check out the help docs to learn how to export and manipulate the captures.

The increased storage makes taking high quality scans possible. I love this. Only request is that the files work on non-Lidar enabled devices for sharing. Obviously this won’t work for taking images, but it would be nice to share them with people who have iPhones/iPads. With the COVID-19 lockdown, I’ve found myself taking 3D photos of my son at play - would love to share them with grandparents who can’t visit.

Good app but...
This is a good app, it is free, pretty high DEFINITION, pretty easy to use, but you have to use it just right. Not too fast or you loose quality, and not too slow or it gets scattered (you’ll see what I mean). It can also get pretty low definition as well when you least want it and the maximum area you can scan is a small bathroom on maximum range. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great free app they should definitely charge for in the future, however, right now, they still have a lot to work on.
Also, if the developers are reading this, please keep doubling the scan area at regular intervals, and also please try to improve the color flow within the app and make the dots more connected. Thank you

Get this app if survey or draft!
So amazing if you know how to use it and which tools to pair with. Only try to capture about 1000 sqft at a time this keeps export time down and phone from over heating. Do as many of those smaller areas as you can back to back. The cloud compare software is free and will stitch them back together if done properly. Save selected surfaces as e57 then to ReCap save as .Rcp then to civil 3D for countours etc…. Amazing!!! Never surveying with a tripod again

After signing up for an account with no option for Apple login, you get to find out the bait of measuring is actually behind a pay wall.
App looks like it was designed by someone who quickly just learned swift and couldn’t be bothered to learn UI design. Normally I wouldn’t be so harsh about this but it’s clear they have cobbled together an app using Apple “gettting started with LiDAR” tutorials and convinced themselves that they are worth $40 FOURTY dollars a month. That’s more than it costs to pay for the iPhone itself. All this, and there are plenty of other apps on the store that offer the same if not better for free.

Steep subscription price
Seriously, I just want to scan to pointcloud and export. Literally all of the computations are being done on my device. I realize you need to pay for development. The subscription cost is rather steep when I can get Matterport for the same amount.

Sweet 3D models
I downloaded this app after seeing it on Instagram just to see if it worked. I mapped my entire apartment and was kinda shocked at how well it put everything together - the model looks super accurate and is so cool. Definitely going to keep playing around with this

Best 3D PointCloud LiDAR App
The app isn’t perfect but it’s THE BEST LiDAR point cloud app in the whole App Store. Did I mention it’s free? I tested my iPhone 12proM with so many LiDAR apps ( paid and free) that I can say with certainty is legitimately the best point-cloud LiDAR app. Though keep in mind the app is somewhat simple. I hope the developers add more features, but in any case no other app creates point clouds like this one so far.

Hello, this app is incredible! Thank you for making it. I’m trying to import scans into Unreal Engine and it’s saying it needs to be a .PTS file. Is there an easy way to convert the file or are you adding new export modes in the future? Thank you again for making this!
