chipscan,
Worked great until iOS 14.0.1
I really enjoyed using this app, waterfalls were like cotton Candy...
I updated to iOS 14.0.1 a week ago and didn’t think anything about it...
Well... I recently tried using it at the Dallas Arboretum and it kept crashing. I had to reboot the iPhone each time I wanted to create an image... . Not very handy...
MrBlanston,
Please fix
Not compatible with iOS 14
Techpioneer,
Crashes when trying to save
It’s working good for everything else, but pointless if I can’t save the photo.
Tinkerbell4444,
Thanks for 64 bit!
Thanks to the developer for saving this app from not working with iOS 11 by making it 64bit! Great app, I love it!
Mallenge,
Great! But it’s not working!
The app is fantastic, I love it and the pictures I can take with it. But it’s not working! I take the picture and when I try to save it it closes! Please check it!
Homeworld,
Flawed, but interesting
Disappointingly low-res, but interesting. Compared to "Slow Shutter Cam" by Cogitap, which allows me to shoot at three levels of quality (S, M, L) and full resolution (2448x3264), this offers an inferior 720x960 capture and no selectable quality levels.

That said, this one seems to something interesting: image stabilization of the non-moving portions of an image (and maybe of the entire image, I'm not sure). Taking a picture of my cat eating with this app, everything appears stationary and focused except the cat, who shows the expected motion blur (but not much). Contrast this with Cogitap's app, which applies no such stabilization, and everything shows motion blur (due to my not holding the camera perfectly still). This probably does make it a better choice for night photography, in certain circumstances and for most people.

Ultimately, until I find an slow shutter-esque app that makes image stabilization selectable, I'll probably keep both on my iPhone 4S and use one or the other as my exact intent warrants.

Thanks for reading.
T Whitt,
Terrible at light trails
This app doesn’t do light trails at all...definitely get “LT - Long Exposure” instead if you want to get some really good light trail shots.
Mr. Luigi,
Nice app…but
Hey, I’m not complaining. It’s great Apple offers these apps for free. Love it. But, and I may be wrong, I don’t think this app takes these "long term exposures” in the traditional sense. The more recent iPhones (including the 6 series) can not take a picture with an exposure longer than 0.5 seconds. Why? Don’t ask me. I’m sure there is a reason, but I find it a significant limitation to the camera’s functionality. What I think this app is doing is piecing together many 0.5 (or whatever) exposures to create a semi-pseudo time exposure. It is certainly better than nothing and the results are impressive…IF YOU KEEP THE IPHONE STABILIZED! Because of this I agree with another reviewer who has requested the developer add a time delay “switch” so triggering the shutter doesn’t move the iPhone while a picture is being taken.
Wolfe with an e,
Easy, long-exposure camera app
Many of the night cam apps require a lot of fiddling with controls and give results that are either too dim, too noisy or are overexposed. Slow Shutter instead has three modes, each with controls dedicated to that effect:

NORMAL for blurring waterfalls and capturing other motion in daylight. (Controls: 1 sec, 3, 10, or auto. Sensitivity can be set to low, medium, high or auto. Set freeze after you shoot.)

LIGHT TRAIL for moving lights like cars at night. (Controls: 1 sec, 3, 10, or infinity where you press shutter again to stop. Lighten exposure more after you shoot.)

NIGHT For long night exposures in very dim light with excellent automatic noise reduction. (Controls: Lighten exposure more after you shoot.)

With one app you can make any kind of long exposure shot easy and get excellent results.

+ Excellent images with minimal messing
+ Universal, works with iPhone and iPad

- Focus is automatic and only focuses on what's in the center grid
- Shooting is a two-step process
Tysonjacques,
Love this added functionality
However they manage to get a longer exposure, I'm a fan. There tends to be some graininess in low light long exposures, but that's to be expected. After some processing (even in-phone,) I'm usually much happier with my night photos on this app than any other - or even using the stock camera app on iOS.
