Truly enjoying this!
I’ve used a number of services in the past of a similar vein but they all required me to use to laptop and were a bit clunky. Either that or I’d find myself having to comp them together myself in photoshop. This eliminates either of those situations. It’s all available on my mobile app, it’s quick and robust, giving you a great number of options for various rooms (and they keep adding more!) as well as many variations and options to crop and export the images. Also I find the angle view to be a really unique feature. With the paid version you get a version of most space at an angle, so it gives the opportunity to show the viewer a better idea of how it’ll look in a space. I also find that the compositing is pretty realistic, not always easy to tell that it’s a composite image, which is great. Many of these services look like fake rooms with fake art and it doesn’t do the art much justice. I don’t find that to be the case here at all. Feels very natural.

Great app that has made me money already
I love this app so far, it’s easy to use and has a good variety of interiors to choose from. And very realistic looking. I posted a handful of mock ups I made with your app to Facebook and ended up are selling the piece because of this. I was able to get a picture from the client of the room they wanted the art in and then add my piece to it and the right proportions and they loved it and bought it. I don’t think they would’ve shown interest to begin with if I hadn’t use you app.
My only complaint or suggestion is can you please make it where you can be in landscape mode on the iPad also not just portrait mode? Everything else I do pretty much I am using my iPad in landscape mode and that’s the way it fits in most stands. having to use it in portrait mode is pretty annoying and seems like it would be easy to fix. it’s a first world problem for sure lol but I’ve been using your app a lot and would greatly appreciate being able to use it in landscape. If you can change that would be five stars all the way. thanks for making a great app and business tool!
My only complaint or suggestion is can you please make it where you can be in landscape mode on the iPad also not just portrait mode? Everything else I do pretty much I am using my iPad in landscape mode and that’s the way it fits in most stands. having to use it in portrait mode is pretty annoying and seems like it would be easy to fix. it’s a first world problem for sure lol but I’ve been using your app a lot and would greatly appreciate being able to use it in landscape. If you can change that would be five stars all the way. thanks for making a great app and business tool!

Great app, simple and easy to use
I really like the app. It’s very easy to use. The best part is that it’s just upload your image, pick a background, and boom, done. There’s a variety of backgrounds available. Currently I believe they are grouped by room type “gallery, dining room, bedroom”. It would also be nice to be able to filter by aesthetic or to have backgrounds for certain looks. Labels and groupings like “bright and airy, vintage, etc” like themes since people still do aesthetic feeds, this would be a bit easier to find one that fits your brand if the backgrounds are organized by look and feel in addition to room type.
A feature suggestion would be batch editing. Right now, I upload one image at a time and then work on that one, then save. It’d be faster to upload a bunch of images at once, select backgrounds/edit (these edits could apply to all images in the batch), then save all.
Overall the app is great! I hope to see it continually improve.

Artist view — all about the presentation!
There are so many genres of art and varying clients and collectors, I’ve found that packaging is pretty key to presenting your work.
I have clients that have an idea about what they want but can’t quite see it in there home, office, etc. My clients range from those who are very art knowledgeable to those that connect with a piece but can’t see it packaged in their home. Smartist gives you the ability to present your work in so many settings that your client can connect too. Whether a minimalist setting to a cozy warm setting above their fireplace, Smartist gives you all those options.
When I have a client that wants a large piece I will paint a thumbnail (12”x16”) and then using Smartist I can place it in a similar setting in their home, office, gallery, etc., in a 48”x72” version of the thumbnail. Smartist scales it for you! It’s a great way for a client to see it and say I want it.
I have presented pieces in social media using Smartist and drawn more attention than just posting the art alone. It simply professionalizes your work and the interiors don’t distract from the piece they instead make your piece the focal point.

Get the Pro version, you won't regret it
I used the free version for 10 minutes before purchasing the Pro upgrade, which is well worth it. As an artist, being able to put together a realistic and great looking mockup in just a few minutes is a lifesaver. Everything is intuitive and the app is very easy to use. I like how there are different interior categories - Gallery, Residential and Commercial. There's even a simple blank wall setting where you can select different wall colors, textures and shadows. And the angled / perspective view is a nice touch.
Customer service is amazing! They proactively reached out for suggestions on how to improve, and it looks like the app is constantly updated with new environments. Definitely one of the best visualization apps I've seen, and I would highly recommend. Kudos Smartist!

I canceled after two months
This is really a cool app, but is it really a game changer? I’m not so sure that its worth the price, especially considering it’s a month over month, year after year fee for something you will only use occasionally. If you do try this, buy the discounted annual version and be done with it. If you try it on a month to month basis your really waisting your money. I used it like 5 times in the first week and haven’t used it since. If your making face to face sales then yeah, it makes sense, but honestly its more of a novelty. And now that every thing is sold via paid subscription this really adds up, and what a sweet deal for the developers who are making hundreds per user opposed to the one time $40 or $50 bucks the app is really worth. And were left wondering why we have no money left at the end of the month… 3 stars because its is a good app that does what it says, -2 stars because it’s way over valued.

Great app with great support.
I gave Smartist a try and loved it from the start. It has the best frame options and most believable lighting and shadow of any other app that I’ve tried and it’s the most user friendly by far. The presets for saving the images are great cutting time and guesswork with cropping and ratios. I’ve even used images from Smartist to send to my galleries. As with all of these apps I personally find the room settings a bit too cookie cutter but there are a few on this app that are very beautiful and the lighting isn’t generic and even appears to be natural light.
The support has been great and they have even moved forward on some of my suggestions.
Overall this is an app for professional use and has saved me lots of time.

Highly recommend!
I highly recommend this app to any artist that wants to sell their work. It’s been such a great tool for my website as well as social media. The downloaded images are high resolution and look so real! I love seeing what new spaces you guys have in the updates. I would love to see some more simplified options in the future updates. Maybe the ability to get rid of some of the accessories and plants in the rooms. Sometimes an important part of the art ends up being covered by a plant or flowers in a vase. Would be nice to be able to move that accessory around or delete it altogether. That’s the only thing I would change. Great and most used app for my art business!

Worth it - just for how much time it saves me!
I was hesitant to purchase, because I have so many rising costs running my art business as it is, but when I sat down at my desk today to do several mock-ups on photoshop, I realized just searching for classy and modern images alone takes forever, and you usually have to pay for quality stock images anyway. It also dawned on me how much I hate adding in the frames and shadows manually. When it hit me I could finish my marketing images for the day in an hour, so I can get back to actually painting, this was a no brainer. If I sell a painting for 10x the amount I paid for this app, it’s well worth the time and energy it has saved me!

Awesome app for so many reasons
First the customer service is off the charts! Ask a question they get back to you so quickly and with great advice. Second as I am about to sell my photo art their interiors are so diversified and the options of changing wall colors, lighting, flooring , matting and size of frames truly exhibits your work beautifully. All this has resulted in great response to my photo art and has boosted my confidence that I can sell my art.
