Jac491,
Love the snoo and the app- have a suggestion
I bought the snoo when my son was 2.5 months old and it has totally changed our lives. He was sleeping a maximum of 45 minute stretches for the first two and a half months of his life- even at night (unless we held him). After we bought the snoo he started sleeping 2 hrs at a time, then 3, then 4-5 and now (he’s 3 and a half months old) we get a few 8.5 hour stretches each week and never anything less than 5 hours. I am so glad for his health and ours that the snoo exists. The app works well and I haven’t had any issues with connectivity or log outs or anything else. This being said, there are some features that I would love to see added.
The major one is the ability to add naps that he takes outside the snoo. My son is a fussy napper and I like to know that he is getting enough sleep each day. If I’m at a friends house and he sleeps an hour in the pack in play and an hour in the car there and back, I’d like to be able to add that to his sleep total for the day.
The other change is the ability to start the 24 hour horse shoe cycle in AM or PM. I like to base his naps for the day off of how well he slept at night since I have more control over day time napping to make sure he catches up. It would be good to set the 24 hour cycle to start at any time, AM or PM.

Lifesaver for our little one
We were hesitant to get the SNOO, but we were thankful that we could rent it. We love the SNOO. At almost 2 months he was sleeping an hour here and there and now he sleeps at the most 2.5hours. We use it for naps as well. He seems to know when he naps during the day because he sleeps at the most an hour and a half and at night he sleeps more. We have only had it for a week and can’t wait to see his sleep to continue to improve and mine too. The things I wish the app would do is choose what white noise to play. The heartbeat sound seems to only play with level 2 and it doesn’t play long. I also wish that when you choose the time to log sleep that you can pick AM or PM. You can choose the time but not am or pm. I would like to not pick the time so it just shows his sleep on a 24 hour basis. Right now we have 12am to 12pm. I want to be able to see more. I also wish it was connected to my Apple Watch so I don’t always have to go to my phone to check or turn up the level. We are grateful for the SNOO and we haven’t had any other issues. So far so good
KLemischak,
The level-lock button same as pause
When you want the level to stay at 1 (helpful if your baby is learning to self soothe) you can press and hold pause to prevent it from going to any higher levels. This is a great feature. It can get hard to use, however. If you don’t press and hold for the exact amount of time the Snoo stops. That’s pretty high risk when your baby is falling asleep and the sudden cessation of movement causes them to wake up. An edit to fix that would be huge. Also if you could set a maximum level in terms of audio, not just motion. My baby doesn’t need the highest level to calm and it’s actually jarring to her. The Snoo would go to that level and I would need to constantly override in the app. Finally, if there was a way to turn off the glowing light around the start button on the product itself. That glow is pretty substantial at night and illumination can keep baby awake. Product is amazing, app is very good. These are a few changes I would highly suggest. *update: thank you for making these updates!!!!
Lintacious,
UX Improvements
The Snoo (hardware) is great! The app (software) needs interface work. First, Bugs: On the home screen the current session duration is incorrect and I always have to close the app completely then re-open to see correct information. This is annoying for me and probably giving incorrect app usage info to devs as well.
Second, UX Improvements: 1) I want the Daily Log to be a table of four columns with Sleep Start Time, Sleep End Time, Total Duration, % Of Time Soothing. No visual, just a text log. Th horseshoe graphic makes little visual sense and the exact times are not displayed. With the exact info, I can easily put everything into excel and do the deep dives myself. 2) Please “sticky” the last selected Log view. Since the Daily Log is not usable to me, I view each day using the Weekly Log. Unfortunately, every time I go back to the chart screen, it defaults back to Daily. 3) On the home screen, make the Session Duration larger, centered, more of the focus. The screen color coding means I already know my baby is calm or being soothed. What I always want to know immediately is how long has she been asleep. 4) Maybe, also add a “Total Daily Time” to the home screen (if this can be done without looking cluttered).
Jeffrey medina,
SNOO is worth the $$$
I highly recommend you remove any other item from your baby registry and just add the SNOO if price is a concern lol (I would!!!!) It allows my wife and I to sleep extra hours without our baby crying hysterically. It has different modes that you can control from the app and when she does cry for pamper change or hunger it changes the mode in attempt to soothe her. It is very safe using sensors on the side straps that when unhooked it automatically stops and will not resume even if pressing the power button unless the strap is in place to secure the baby. Makes soothing white noise to help the baby sleep. The only complaint I have is PLEASE....... MAKE THE APP COMPATIBLE WITH THE APPLE WATCH!!!! I would love to control it from my watch in the middle of the night instead of reaching for my phone in the dark. But in all seriousness I would definitely recommend this product thank you!!
PGH_mom_412,
Such a Relief!
Renting the snoo and using the app to control it has completely changed my son’s sleep and nap schedule for the better. It is so helpful to have the snoo track when he sleeps and when he wakes up, and he naps better in the snoo than he does elsewhere. The only thing that would make the app even better is a way to temporarily lock the snoo on a level. Right now, any time he makes a noise the bassinet interprets that as crying and bumps him up a level. However, when my son is first put down, he very happily and loudly coos as he falls asleep without help. The snoo interprets this as crying and turns on. It would be great if there were a fifteen minute level lock that I could engage when he first goes down and does not need extra rocking while he coos. I manually lock it in the app but sometimes forget to unlock it, and then the snoo does not turn on for middle of the night wake ups when it is most needed. Would it be possible to add a temporary level lock button? Thanks!
MaryX20,
Please update for twins/multiples
App wise: Please please please prioritize this for the app update. I still cannot believe we need to have my and my wife’s phone nearby to control both SNOOs for our twin boys. It often leads to scrambling to find the phone you actually and irritated babies. It is not feasible to log in and out of each account for each baby. It should be an easy toggle between SNOOs on the same network.

Snoo-wise: referencing criticism above, we are heavily reliant on the app for controlling the snoo given that it will often fail to increase speed or sound when our boys are crying. It’ll stay on baseline and I need to manually intervene to adjust the settings. Alternatively, I’ve also noticed that sometimes the snoo will jack up to level 2 even though my baby is sleeping and motionless — so this sometimes wakes him! In those cases, again, I have to rely on the app to control the snoo and lock it at a lower level. So these snoo-specific issues make not having a UI that can handle twins an absolute pain.
Where's the wish list?,
Parents need more control
The developers of this app need to get some humility. They are asking you to trust your baby to an algorithm and a shaking machine and saying “trust us, these settings are right for your baby.” It objectively CAN’T be true that the settings are right for every baby…at best, the algorithm can be right for the average baby. Since the algorithm doesn’t “learn,” it doesn’t even adapt to your baby…and yet still doesn’t allow any sort of customization by the ones who know the baby best (the parents).

At the very least, the app needs to allow parents to set a “maximum level” (and no, locking the level is not the same). Ideally, they would allow parents to customize thresholds, shaking intensity, volume, sounds, etc. it would also be nice to allow parents to set routines (e.g. start at level 2 for 5 minutes, then decrease to level 1 and start normal function). Parents know best! This app is supposed to help, not take over!

Wish the app had a feature for weaning babies
Thank heavens for the SNOO and the app, it’s seriously a parenting game changer. I feel like I’m not alone in obsessing over my babies log and comparing the days/weeks/months to figure out what tricks and routines to establish to get our little ones to have more quality sleep (and give us mommies and daddies the shut eye we so desperately deserve). Love the ability to turn on/off and pause from my phone. It truly gives such an added sense of security being able to check the app and see baby is “calm” or “comforted” for those times I don’t always trust the baby monitor.
My only gripe is that I wish there was an option to manually edit or enter maps/ nighttime sleep out of the SNOO. This would be helpful for weaning babies that are transitioning to crib life, vacationing without the SNOO, for those nights when the 4 month regression sets in and you forget to turn off the SNOO one of the 8 times you wake up in the middle of the night.
Tski13,
Can be a hassle for the $$$
When it works it’s amazing, but when it doesn’t it’s very frustrating. Often it will disconnect from the network, not connect to the “Snoo Network”, say the clips aren’t engaged (which means it won’t turn on). The solution to all this is to “Reboot your Snoo” aka unplug it and plug it back in. As you can imagine doing this time and time again while trying to put a baby down is quite a hassle. I know it’s not my internet because none of my other devices in the house have issues.

Also the app is lacking. No where to log sleep outside the Snoo and the tracker in the Snoo is a simple horseshoe chart. My $80 7 year old Fitbit shouldn’t track or display sleep better than a thousand dollar+ bassinet. Simply put the app is a glorified on/off button with an on/off horseshoe chart and some notes on how to use Snoo.

For what you pay for a Snoo you’d figure a lot less technical glitches and more user interface. If I could go back I probably wouldn’t buy now that I’ve seen full value.
