!!!!Recovery Tool Must Have!!!!
Whatever program you are working, this is a must have tool! Find support through others in recovery. If you’re questioning whether or how to get sober, this is a great place to meet other people in the same place...or a place you want to go. Find outstretched hands, people who know how you feel. You can see how far you’ve come, see the accomplishments even after one day. Choose to find other people in your area, or far away.
We are all about social media, this is a place that you can let it all out...without worrying about your in-laws or job finding out you’re in recovery. Post sobriety pictures or thoughts...find inspiration when you need it - from people who understand what you’re going through.
Utilize the simple daily achievements that take moments, yet last all day to help you through the tough times. This is a great place to be when your typical support is sleeping, or when there isn’t a meeting going on. Give it a try, if you don’t like it, you can delete the app. If you don’t end up liking your sobriety, your misery can refunded in full.

Incredible
Where has this app been my whole life!? I downloaded it a few weeks and it sat and sat and sat, and I kept thinking “I’ll never use this app. I bet I make no new friends, all my posts will go ignored, and it’ll just be another waste of storage space. So tonight I got a real bad craving, opened the app, posted that I needed help, turned on the “burning desire” beacon and witnin minutes, mere minutes, I had 4 people private messaging me and countless others commenting on my status and encouraging me. 3 hours later, I’m still talking to the same few ppl, we exchanged phone numbers, and my urge had vanished... and I didn’t even realize it. This app is incredible. Everyone is so supportive and they’ll do just about anything they can to stick with you and get you through whatever little crisis you’re have. This app is a MUST have if you’re an addict and you’re not sure you want to stop yet, if you’re an addict actively working your sobriety, or if you love an addict. It’s set up and functions alot like Facebook, so it feels intuitive. 5 stars!
sereneandgrateful,
Definitely helpful
While I dont feel this is enough to build a firm foundation in recovery, i do find it an additional helpful tool. Im in long term recovery and this didn’t exist when i got clean but wish it did. What i really like is a) the anonymity if you choose, b) the fact that you can reach out to people with similar issues or interests such as ptsd, cbt, alternative pathways to recovery or narcotics anonymous as well as see who is nearby you, c) it’s wonderful for those 3:00 in the morning emergency situations when you don’t want to wake anyone but feel like you need to reach out for support to get through something (very helpful when you have a chronic illness thats flaring up and you are in agony and your disease is messing with you). I met some lovely people and as a result am part of a newish (developed at start of pandemic)recovery group that meets online and absolutely love this group!! So helpful.

TRUTH
I can say that I’ve had little faith in humanity in my past due to experiences and events that I placed myself in. I’ve been the best at self sabotaging, making myself my own worst enemy. On the other hand, when I’ve had years of sobriety I’ve conquered more than some could imagine possible. In realizing I want more than to just wake up and do life without using and then repeat the next several years of my life like that, I’ve turned to something different. I came across this app and in less than a week of diving into it, learning what it is all about I’m finding that there are those out there.....even in the app world, that still want to make a difference and have that life of sobriety you can’t just get anywhere. Needless to say, I’m quite impressed. If it took an app to get me into the doors of a real meeting then I commend the company for having such insight to do something as such. It’s saving lives.

Great App for Anyone Choosing a Life in Recovery
This is a Great APP for anyone who is choosing a Life of Sobriety in Recovery. I joined the app when it was first released, and it has improved during each update.

I appreciate having the morning “Challenge” as it is a quick way for me to start my day with a ‘daily pledge’, Reflection, and of course Gratitude. I would like to see the comment on another’s post replaced with reaching out to another person in Recovery, but that is merely a suggestion.

Finally, I have been Sober for almost 2 years now, and I am hoping to find a relationship with someone in Recovery that is trying to live a similar lifestyle.

I understand this is not a dating site, however if you could add a tab for people “open” to dating in Recovery, it might help assist people to connect with someone that is at a stage in their Recovery that dating and relationships are part of their Sobriety Journey.

Otherwise, Great App, just need more support in the Midwest, as it seems it have grown more popular in other areas.

Thank you for providing this free app, as it was important in my early Sobriety to help me be accountable and the ability to reach out to others and read all of the posts was extremely helpful in my Recovery.

SG Community
This community app helps me in so many ways that it’s difficult to list all the positive ways.
Since incorporating this app and all its features into my life and recovery/sobriety program I have found a great supportive network of people near and far that’s encouraging, supportive, inspirational, resourceful and I am also able to do the same for others seeking a connection with fellow seekers of a better lifestyle and journey. We are all working together daily in living, reaching out and sharing our strength, hope, struggles and what helps us maintain our abstinence either in programs or online. The app is either able to be used as guided or individually, groups and socializing with like minded people.
It’s the best recovery/sobriety social app I have come across and I am grateful for it. Love it🥰

Has Literally Saved Me
Sober Grid is a community for people who are in recovery. It is not perfect but neither are we addicts. Here is the one thing I will say when I need help I can go on there and post and people will immediately send me helpful advice, or just a few kind words. Sometimes I just log on and see that someone else has posted a bit of wisdom that pulls me through. I love the fact that there is an app that is user friendly and so helpful to my recovery process. The Sober Grid community has helped me to not take a drink when I have wanted to give in. Sober Grid has given me a space to reach out to other addicts when they need someone too. Sober Grid has literally saved me and helped me stay on my path toward recovery. That’s a lot of help in one app!
vrileyrose,
A Great Network and Tool!
When you first stop drinking, one of the hardest things is adjusting the dynamics of your friendships, in particular if you have friends that drink with you when you hang out. Some friendships get over it, others find it hard, and sometimes the sober person can become or feel alienated.

SoberGrid allows that alienated person to find connections with people that have similar goals or mindsets with regard to alcohol. Even if you might not have someone nearby that you can hang out with and do non-alcohol related things, you can post and have an audience of people that GET IT, or even chat with someone directly.

We live in an alcohol-centric society, and it’s just a friggin’ breath of fresh air having this app.

Beyond the social aspect there’s also the positivity of daily inspirational reading, a tracker that rewards you with trophies for quoting, and a personal profile where you can share things about yourself. Feeling a craving or broke down? There’s a check-in and burning desire share feature so others can come to your aid.

Everyone seems really awesome so far. It’s a very positive community and I’m happy to be part of it!! 😄

Really Helps
This is a really good app for 24/7 support. It really helps to be able to pull your phone out any time you need motivation and you can find it in seconds. You meet lots of helpful, nice people who will be there for you and talk to you when you’re feeling down or like using. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because some people on there are not sober and don’t always post things that recovery addicts, especially addicts who haven’t been sober long, need to hear. Seeing addicts talk negatively really can bring people down. Just like in NA meetings how they ask addicts who haven’t been sober long to limit their comments. I try to ignore those comments and I recommend others to ignore them as well.

Absolutely Wonderful!
So I was just recently introduced to Sober Grid and ever since I’ve downloaded it, it has become my new lil shin dig. The fact that it is it’s own social media app for people in recovery is outstanding. People from all forms of sober programs getting together to connect is so cool. I’m so happy about this app and everything that’s on it. It has everything that I would hope a social recovery app would have. Had to give it a 5 star!!😍 I suggest this app to anyone who aspires to connect with other sober people, anybody who’s struggling, anybody who wants to have cool daily challenges, anyone who wants inspiration, and most importantly anybody who wants to just feel apart of something other than their daily program.
