As students, it is extraordinarily hard to connect with others in-person on campus especially after the long period of quarantining and social isolation. Spark is here as a centralized friendmaking platform which expedites and makes this process easier.
Students can connect with one another through interests and witty responses, while avoiding the superficiality and biases of appearance that most social apps engage in nowadays. Get to know each other through conversation first, and end up meeting each other on campus!

Hope everyone had a good spring break! We've reinvented the notification system, so now you can toggle whether you want notifications on or off within the settings page. We've also reconstructed how comments look within the Feed, and you can reply directly to someone now!

A new college-wide feed has been added allowing you to post anonymously with whatever thoughts or comments you have in mind! Posts can be viewed anytime throughout the semester, and you can upvote them as well. Awards will be given to people with the most upvoted posts on a weekly basis, and these people will be able to customize their appearance on the feed.

A new feed feature has been released allowing you to make daily posts and respond to your friends' posts! You also get additional swipes if you log in on consecutive days, allowing you to meet more friends.
The users shown on your discover page are now tailored towards your own profile, so hop on and meet students who share your passions. You will also get to see your similarities at the top of the chat when you start one with the other person!

Very cool app for SBU Students
Heard about this app through a friend and a really sick concept. Tried it out and I think I’m hooked. Met a few people on the app already and they seem really chill. I love that it’s only Stony Brook Students on the app.
One thing is that sometimes entering the pin doesn’t bring you in but figured out that all you need to do is force quit and re open the app.

Great Idea but with so many missing necessities
This could be a great app as it is a painless way for students to connect, but some of the missing features are embarrassing. There is no notification number on the app, notifications either do not show up or do not make a sound and do not appear on the Lock Screen, cropping images is inaccurate and you cannot like them or attributes you have in common with others. Age does bot change after your birthday and it is far too east to accidentally swipe and not be able to go back.

Concept good but crashes too often
I like the concept but I've had to reinstall the app multiple times as it just simply won't load and just crashes at startup.
