All 25 Worlds!
-That’s right, the game now contains all 25 worlds, covering the 26 letters (world 1), 100 high frequency words, and 58 grapheme-to-phoneme correspondences (worlds 2-25).
-There are over 300 stages to play.
-The content covers critical kindergarten through grade 2 early reading skills.

New Games!
-Fill in the Blank:
- In this game, players are either presented with a word missing one or more graphemes, or a sentence missing one or more high frequency words. They must complete the word/sentence by using the graphemes/high frequency words from the world.
-Pairing:
- Think memory, but with all the cards face up. This game is used to have students match phonemes to graphemes, words to their audio, and identify phoneme sounds within words. It’s the shortest of the games, but provides a great overview of the content in the worlds.
-Note, the earlier worlds (1-15) have been reworked to include these new games. Because of this, some worlds have new stages, and some old stages have disappeared. All player progress has been maintained, but this may mean that there are new stages and stars to collect in worlds previously mastered. A great chance to revisit earlier content and confirm mastery.

Smaller App Size
-We’ve moved the audio and image content out of the app, in order to decrease the app size and memory usage, making it more friendly to older hardware. Note, this does mean there are some new loading screens, as content is fetched from the servers, but it should only take a few seconds.

New Art!
-Each world is represented by one of 25 very cool Squiggle Park monsters. You’ll have to unlock each world to see them all.
-The game art is in transition. There’s lots of new art to be seen, but this is a sneak peak of the final reveal, coming soon.

Improved Internet Connectivity check
-If the internet cuts out, you’ll see a popup on the screen until the internet connection resumes.
3.8.4
2017-10-11
- Improvements to internet availability detection.
- Changed play button to be more intuitive.
3.8.2
2017-06-14
-Save your access codes (formerly called group codes)! - This shortens the login process for students, by allowing them to only have to remember their player code. They will simply press play as always, choose their correct class, choose their player button and enter their player code; reducing the codes they need to enter from 2 codes to 1.
-Added instructional voice-overs for the welcome page and sign-in process.
3.8.1
2017-05-17
- Fix for 7-13 (text now shows up on the baskets)
- The demo scenes have been moved to be integrated into the games, which speeds up loading and also allows for the instruction audio to be heard while the demo plays. (Note: you can no longer skip the demo by tapping on the screen.)
3.8.0
2017-04-25
- Two more worlds - 14 and 15 focusing on digraphs. World 14 - wh, ch, and sh. World 15 - th and th (voiced and not voiced).
- Sorting - a new game! Test your skills by sorting the phonemes to their corresponding graphemes, lowercase letters to their matching uppercase letter, and audio words to their text form.
- All the worlds have been reworked! That’s right, every world has been reworked to include the new game. They’ve also been looked at to continue to work on balancing frustration with progress and making sure there’s a pathway to success for all students. But be assured that students have *not* lost their progress. They should continue to have access to worlds they had unlocked before and the stars they had already collected. However, this means that some of the worlds might look a little… odd. While corresponding stages between the old worlds and new worlds have been kept as much as possible, the re-ordering and layout of some worlds may mean you have some unlocked stages after locked ones!
- Earning 1 star unlocks stages now. Before, students needed to earn 2 or 3 stars in order to unlock the following stages. We’ve made it a bit easier to move forward, by allowing 1 star to unlock roads. This is designed to reduce the frustration of students being blocked by a particularly challenging stage. But be aware, students still need to collect 2/3s of the available stars in a world to unlock the next one. So collecting 1 star per stage is not going to be enough…
- Colours on Class and Player codes have been inverted. It was pointed out that the codes your students are given, have the icons coloured in and yet our login buttons were reversed - white icons on coloured backgrounds. We’ve inverted these, so they are now whitish buttons with coloured icons, to more closely resemble the class and player codes.

- New Game - True or False - In this game players are presented with two pieces of information (such as two words or two pictures) and they must decide if they meet specific criteria. For example, do they rhyme, or, do they start with the same sound?

- New Worlds - 8 & 9 - These new worlds bring with them two more vowels - u and e, along with additional consonants (b and w in world 8, and h and v in world 9). By the time a player masters world 9, they will have mastered 20 of the 26 basic GPCs (one phoneme per letter), and 34 of the top 100 high frequency words. They'll also be able to spell over 265 decodable spelling words!

- More Learning opportunities - sounding out words in the spelling game

Sound doesn’t work
I was so excited about this app. My kids started to use it right away. They got to the levels where the sound was needed and we couldn’t hear anything. I checked my sound, made sure sound was working. Downloaded it on our iPad and it worked fine. It’s just the iPhone app. Sad! I still love it on the iPad, just not my phone.
Darkprincess831,
My son loves this
My son is in Kindergarten and his teacher sent the sign in info with him at the beginning of the year. I was hesitant at first because I thought it would be too babyish for him. I love the way that it builds upon stuff already covered, and isn’t super repetitive like some of the educational videos we’ve seen. He loves doing it because it’s fun and he loves learning. He’s always asking me “can I do my levels?” Great app, highly recommend it to anyone who is debating between learning apps for their kids or their classrooms. The one complaint I have (and the reason for the four stars instead of five) is that every time I open the app it makes me sign him back in again, not sure if that’s because he’s using a school account or what, but it is slightly annoying, especially before I had the symbol codes memorized and I had to go hunt them down to sign him in again.
MsLutzLinwood,
Highly Recommended from a User Experience Designer!
As an educational consultant trained in interaction design and user experience design, I often roll my eyes at apps and programs that I see teachers utilizing in their classrooms. That was not the case with Squiggle Park. Squiggle Park is an app at which I absolutely marveled-- everything from the scope and sequence of its content, to its pedagogical and scaffolded supports, to its teacher dashboards that offer more data than most competitors is well-developed and well-rationalized. Definitely download today!
Bradleyfarquhar,
Very happy
As a father of two I'm always looking at ways to help improve my kids reading competency. Generally adverse to using technology I was recommended Squiggle Park by my sons second grade teacher. She said this wasn't the first app she tried with her students however it was the first that she found really works. We allowed our kids to play with the application at home and really saw an improvement. Wish we had these tools when I was growing up.
PCSteach,
Squiggle Park makes reading fun for my students!
There are many literacy games that your child or student can play, but how many of them are actually valuable? With Squiggle Park my students are engaged and having fun all while learning those essential reading skills. It's an excellent addition to any home or classroom literacy block!
Cheer leading 14,
Sound doesn’t work..
Able to play until my child gets to a level where she has to listen to words.. the sound part doesn’t work. Please fix ASAP!

Trusted reading app
I love using this app with my students- it reinforces what I'm teaching in class. It is super engaging for kids. They feel they are just having fun but I know they are learning. Nice, short games make it easy to be a flexible addition to reading workshop.
Mom of Boys for Life 2,
Locks up
Less than a week into using the app, and it is so disappointing that it locks up as much as it does. I love the phonics of the sounds available and the fun games it does but teaching at the same time. But you have to log in each time you use it and I have to keep closing the app out when it locks up.
seanbfdi9,
I finally finished it!!!!!!!😎
Thank you for this app. It was a medium think for the last level
from the last world.

Takes too long to log in
My son LOVED the 1st worlds so I went a head and bought the full version and now it won’t load. Literally after I paid for it I now cannot get into it at all and now I’m wondering if I waisted my money
