Our latest batch of updates are designed to streamline the gameplay experience for teachers and their Jr. Math Explorers. Here are some of the highlights:
-Resume Play-
Students can now pick up the game from where they last left off rather than having to navigate back to the activities they were working on.
-iPad Single Sign On-
If your school is configured with Clever or SAML, you can streamline the student login process by launching the Zorbit’s iOS app through their student portal web page. (1.11.1 includes a fix to an issue that prevented this from working correctly in 1.11.0)
-Mandatory Assignments-
Teachers can now require the in-game assignments (aka “Adventures”) to be completed before students can explore the game openly.

We are always improving the accessibility of our resources for students and expanding our toolkit to make assessment easier and more effective. To these ends, we’ve made some updates. Here’s what’s new:
- Captions now accompany in-game audio. Not only does this increase the game’s accessibility but also provides additional literacy development opportunities. Students can turn these captions on/off from their Backpack and from the Pause Menu.
- Levels with multiple choice questions at the end have been added throughout the game. These can be used as a way to reinforce learning and provide standards-based observations for teachers.
- Several In-game activities have been improved to make gameplay more intuitive and improve the overall student experience.
New:
- Fixed a bug that affected some new players when subtitles were active

The feedback we receive from teachers and an exciting new math curriculum in Ontario have kept us busy all summer. Here’s what's new:
-Dozens of in-game activities have been modified to make gameplay more intuitive, foster creative problem-solving, and improve the overall student experience.
-Just about every in-game activity has been updated to address the brand new Ontario math curriculum. For example, new estimation activities have been added to the Grade 1 area and we’ve ensured all counting and operations activities focus on the appropriate range of numbers.
-Our new French Immersion mode allows teachers to slow down the French language audio in the game to enhance comprehension. The new language settings are available in your Teacher Dashboard.

Kids will head out on their next Zorbit’s Math Adventure with confidence after playing through a new tutorial. Improved interactions, activity feedback and guidance means your kiddos will be able to tackle challenges with more independence than ever before.
- A new guided tutorial has been added that demonstrates how players will interact with varying objects in the game. This tutorial will play automatically on each player’s next login. The tutorial can be viewed and played again at any time from the login screen.
- Pressing the hint (?) button at the top right in each activity will trigger new feedback and highlight objects that can be manipulated.
- All planets are now accessible from a single planet select screen, so players can make quick travel decisions and get right to the action.
- For browser players, the cursor will now dynamically change its appearance to match the context of the game. For example, if hovering over a draggable object the cursor will transform into a Drag-Ready hand.
- For browser players, draggable objects can now be selected. A single click will select an object or start drawing an area. Click again to drop a held object or finish selecting an area. Trackpads are now much more comfortable to use with this Click-to-Drag option.
-Fixed some bugs in a few activities and an issue with logging in
