Static plays soothing sounds that can help you rest peacefully or focus more easily.
If you find it difficult to fall asleep in a silent room, white or pink noise playing quietly may be helpful in your quest for rest. Need to focus on a task at work, but music is too distracting? Try the calming sounds of a campfire or ocean waves. A variety of sounds are available in the full version of Static.
The app also offers full remote-control capabilities. With Static running on one iPhone, you can control it from another nearby iPhone (as long as they’re on the same WiFi network). Parents commonly use this to turn sound off in a nursery without having to walk in to the room.

Awesome
This is by far the best app for static noise generation. Cool interface. No issues with shutting off. No weird background frequency artifacts or obvious patterns. The free version is excellent but I am happy to give money for the paid version. I urge you to help keep good devs (like this) making great products by spending the .99 :)

Good sleeping aid!
Nothing fancy here, just several types of static and other sounds to drown out background noise. I use it to relax and fall asleep. The static is consistent and soothing. The only problem I have is that you can't turn it off from the locked screen the way you can with iTunes. The pause shows up, but it doesn't do anything. A minor hassle. I'm otherwise very pleased with this app, and use it daily.

Simply amazing !
This app is wonderful. There is a bit of an issue when if your not on the app then it won't pause, in other words you can't pause it or play it unless your on the app but none the less it's still brilliant

Pretty good
Over all, it does its job. I just needed a loop of white noise for a project (don't ask). This was just what I was looking for, and the best part was that I could exit the app or lock my phone and it would keep playing so my battery didn't die. Nice touch.

Great app with room for improvement
This is by far one of the better static noise apps with a simple UI and great functionality. Some improvements that I wish the app had are Apple Watch support and a sleep timer. I look forward to more improvements.

If you're looking to accomplish the Ganzfeld effect this is perfect white noise. Don't know why you would need white noise otherwise.
