Description

Switch between two high-definition webcams and spot every detail on 10+ species of fish. Watch as cownose and honeycomb rays circle our mangrove lagoon exhibit in search of their next meal—and it’s not far away. Stop by Tuesday and Thursday at 1:30 pm PT to see the next feeding. Our cams are live both day and night. Seeing a dark screen? It’s likely nighttime. Please tune back in during daylight hours for more action.

The California Academy of Sciences is the only place in the world with an aquarium, planetarium, natural history museum, and 4-story rainforest all under one roof. Visit us online at calacademy.org to learn more and to get tickets.

donut x,
AWESOME!
To looking at reviews: this is a great app. I can watch stingrays in lagoon view, and reef view. Also, if I have no internet connection I can watch a prerecorded video! Totally recommend this!

To the developers: TYSM for creating this game! I love stingrays; especially honeycomb stingrays. I would like though if there could be multiple videos, and maybe a species log. I like the setup so don’t change the setup, but add what I requested.
Dexter Dreaming Darkly,
Love it! Please improve video quality
This is such a great idea. Very peaceful to have on in the background. I only wish the video quality were better. I’m not even sure it’s 1080 and the image is a bit washed out. Would love a 4K stream for AppleTV one day... These complaints aside, I still love it and a big thank you to the developers and the California Academy of Sciences
Gladiolo Soy,
Genial!
Great idea and great app! Streaming under water live is educating, relaxing and even funny occasionally with little incidents (someone believed a worm was falling down and ate it to spat it out right away: it was pooping).
This morning a reddish shadow showed up in the lower right side of the screen at the lagoon camera. Can you please check it out? Thanks for the views!
Guamgirl21,
Great app
Really love watching the fish and stingrays. I’ve had this app on my tv and phone since it came out. Back then it had two views to pic from, will we be getting those back soon? I’m assuming we lost one because the camera broke, but it can be replaced and fixed, right?
araneomperson,
This is why it is in black and white
For all of you wondering why it is black and white it is due to it being night time
daisy cooks,

tvd26,
Great app!
I love this app for my apple tv, but I do wish it had sound. Even if it's only the bubbling of the water beneath the surface; it would still be pretty serene. Overall it's enjoyable to watch.
llama🦙🦙,

Simple and beautiful!
Stumbled upon this app kind of randomly. Never would have thought stingrays would be so mesmerizing! My new happy place.
Shifty_K,
How exactly do you switch cameras?
This is a nice app, but I can’t tell exactly what I need to do to get to the reef cam as there’s no interface
