For participating Districts, Stopfinder gives parents and guardians access to view and share their student’s bus stop assignments as well as communicate with the Transportation Department.
With Stopfinder GeoAlerts, app users can create alert zones at any stop or school or along your student’s route. Stopfinder users will be notified when their student’s bus has arrived at or departed from an alert zone. Know where the bus is and know your student has arrived at or departed from any location along their assigned bus route.
Stopfinder Forms allows app users to complete electronic forms sent from their district through the Stopfinder app. Stopfinder users can view new forms and submitted forms through the Stopfinder Message Center.

2 years in - completely useless
This is our second year with stopfinder. I was excited that the app started off functioning as it should because all of last year the notifications were inconsistent and it never actually showed where the bus was. Less than a month in, I'm now even more disappointed than before. It went from fully functioning to no notifications at all for several days, then they came back but they were delayed, and today it says "no subscriptions available" as if I don't have any routes assigned. It also works inconsistently across users because it could be working for my neighbor, but not for me, or some features will glitch while others won't. The system already had a 1 star rating when our district chose to use it and I'm baffled as to why they still went with it. Completely unreliable.

super glitchy…
my school district uses this app for finding out school bus. our bus doesn’t have a designated driver and its never consistent with its driving times so we always try to track the bus with the app, but the tracker usually says ‘bus isn't found’. idk if thats because the bus driver has to turn it on or because the app doesn't work. i do like the feature on the map where you can set your area and then get a notification when the bus enters your area. it is kinda unclear how you do get to the map though… at least for me you click on your bus number and the destination. i poked around and finally found a help center, but thats also kinda hidden. the last thing is that everyday my attendance is always reported at the SAME time everyday, even when that never happens.
please work on the tracker issue and maybe add more buttons to get to things easier.

Completely useless
This is the first review I’ve ever written. I don’t usually find it worth my time, but this app is so incredibly useless that I feel compelled to speak out.
This app has worked maybe twice and even then the feed was so delayed I totally missed my bus and my kids (1st and 3rd) were so scared that I was not there to pick them up. Most of the time it just doesn’t work. It can never “find” the kids buses so I never know where the bus is. I have given up on it completely. Our school district used Here Comes the Bus last year and even though it didn’t offer all the bells and whistles that this app does it actually WORKED!!! So disappointed, I hope the developers get their act together and fix the issues or that they get dropped by the schools using it. It is a complete waste of taxpayers money.

This app is useless
It only occasionally shows the location of the bus. Last year our school system used Here Comes The Bus which was great and very helpful. We used it every day and I don't remember ever having an issue. Not sure why they dropped it. It would be just like our system to drop something that worked well and replace it with something that doesn't. They are still struggling to get emailed invitations to parents. Don't know if that is app or school system.
Update: this app continues to be useless. It does not track the bus which is it's sole purpose. I'm scratching my head how something like this that does not work at all has been all of a sudden adopted by so many school systems across the country after seeing so many people say it doesn't work.

Updated review - not hot garbage
I could not find a way to update my review so here is an update. After the one day of login issues I’m not seeing that now. Also, I’ve since learned that leaving the app open for a few minutes allows the bus tracking to somewhat work. It’s not perfect, but better than I thought.

You don’t even have to have the app open for this to work. Great in theory, not in application.
In theory, this app is fantastic. It gives you a map that shows the location of the bus, and you can set multiple alerts so you can see where your kid is. When it comes to actually use, however, they have fall short. It almost never works, by which I mean it almost never sends alerts or shows the bus location. When it does work, it’s haphazard. Some alerts come through and some don’t, and sometimes you can see the bus and sometimes you can’t. I’m not even sure why I keep it installed on my phone. Sometimes I open it to try to see where my kids might be, but to no avail. Basically, it is totally unreliable, and I wish our school system would go back to using here comes the bus.

Only shows the route, not in time movement
For some reason our district switched to this app and I wasn’t opposed to it until I tried it. This is my first time using it and it only showed me the route the bus was taking only. The notifications never pinged me. There’s no live feed of the bus movements or location. This app is helpful when you have kids getting off different buses in weird intervals. So it’d be cool if the notifications worked when the child was near the marked location so I don’t have to wait odd minutes outside in between bus drop offs.
UPDATE: It alerted me that my kids had gotten off the bus an hour after they were dropped off, not sure why.

Disappointing
App does not work on a consistent basis. It takes a long time to load and update vehicle location. Most of the time the app says no vehicle located. Alerts are delayed. I have called several time to have both pick up and drop of notifications and updates for app on my Home Screen. After several attempts final got the drop off notifications and with in a few weeks it is gone again. I have had to delete this app several times to reset. Still no help. App gives me more of a headache than anything. Big disappointment to use to track the school bus. App needs a serious update or the bus company need to rethink the app services.

Dated, cumbersome interface
No Face ID support, so you have to retype your credentials every time you log in. “Back” menu buttons are either frequently non-responsive or have a tiny sweet spot, making it hard to return to the previous page. Login sessions are too short, forcing you to log in frequently (which takes longer than needed since no Face ID support). The app doesn’t handle stale pages well, frequently freezing when you click or type in a page after the app’s server connection has (silently) timed out. When it works it does give accurate information though.

Would be good, if it worked while busses are running
Nice app for seeing the bus route. I’d like for it to say which corner of the intersection kids should wait at, but that’s a minor detail.
I don’t actually know if this is useful for tracking while busses are running before and after school, because my log in attempts always get “bad request” errors during times when bright want to check. Once school starts (you know, like when I don’t need the app), I can log in just fine. Perhaps consider elastic servers to handle peak usage times?
