Description
Designed for Classroom Use, this app lets you tap on a seating chart to take attendance, fire drill attendance, and keep track of whether homework was handed in. It also randomly picks students and creates groups of students, as this removes unwanted biases when the teacher does the picking themselves. Random picks won't choose absent students to reduce calling on people who aren't there, and group creation optionally includes absent students. Random student picking tries not to call on students more often than other students on any given day. Groups are created by either the number of students per group or number of groups. Groups can be hand edited by dragging students' names onto the name you want to switch with. There is an ability to print the created groups, as well as copy groups for pasting in other apps. Multiday attendance and homework summaries can be viewed or printed.
Student names are either entered one at a time or you can import a student list from a plain-text file (one name per line, and nothing but the student's name on the line). Students can be edited (names changed), moved to another class, or deleted - if you move them to another class, you'll want to assign their seat (under 'assign unassigned seats' on seating chart menu).
All information and settings in this class assistant app are stored on your device. It does not require a working internet connection for daily usage, nor does it require a subscription for use.

It was previously called "Move selected" but that didn't make it obvious as to whether you were moving to a new class or moving seats. Now it's clearer that you're moving to a new class with that option.

Slight change of sequence for attendance taps.

The old order was Present->Late->Absent->Excused.
The order was changed because it makes sense to assume someone is in by default, if they're not there tap them out, if they show up tap them late. Excuse option was placed at the end of the sequence.

Minor issues that become major
Overall I like this app it’s just rendered unusable due to formatting issues.
Pros: this is a fairly straightforward app and allows you to track attendance, create groups, randomly select names, and track basic homework data quickly. It is super simple to use.
Cons:
1. You cannot import a list of student names you must type each name individually!!!
2. when typing student names in it is black text in a black field so you cannot see if you have made a mistake.
3. there is no way to edit a student name in the same place where you enter them. you have to go back out into a different area and then you can edit the names if you mess up.
4. when you create groups it is white text on a light/white background. this makes it impossible to read the names of most of the students in the groups.
5. The app does not allow you to copy and paste/highlight names from the groups. So if you wanted to present the groups to the class you would have to retype everyone’s name whatever you can present them.
6. I did not see a print function for the seating charts. This is necessary so that you have seating charts for substitutes.
7.It would be nice if you could choose your arrangement instead of just rose and columns.

Traditional Rows Only
This app, while simple and straightforward, does not allow for a seating chart other than traditional rows, which defeats my purpose in purchasing it. I had hoped to create a chart with groups, but this is not possible within this app.
